Opis:: Presented to "Liber de festis" of Johannes of Marienwerder (1343 – 1417) process of changes in the spiritual life Bl. Dorothy of Montau (1347 – 1394) was based on Eucharist, frequent accepting the Holy Communion, the confession and on the contemplative prayer. In the centre of her spiritual life is Jesus Christ. Advice from the "Liber de festis" can be an inspiration for Christians. This book is also a certificate of the vision Bl. Dorothy of Montau. Dorothea’s feast day is celebrated on 25 June.

Opis:: Master Johannes of Marienwerder (Kwidzyn), meticulous, day after day, noted, interpreted and elaborated the words of Christ which addressed to Dorothea. Three books about her life was the results of Jan’s efforts. While reading, at the forefront, we could see wish to leave evidence of the authenticity of the experience of Bl. Dorothea and to transfer the chronology of important events of her life for child’s intenal growth. Another important task which has taken in “Vitae” and “Septililium” Johannes of Marienwerder, was to organize and characterize the theological dimension of mystical experiences that were attended by the blessed patron of Prussia and Pomezania. The third dimension, which can not be disregarded because it somehow lead to all previously mentioned, is the desire of education nad openness to the grace of contemplative life the nexr generation. Their ultimate goal is the generation of the sanctity of the masses of people, men and women who are nurturing the love of God and neighbors, fulfilling the duties of their state, following the way of perfection ot the Christian’s life. As Dorothea of Montau tried to do so, for their whole live.

Opis:: Saint Gertrude the Great (1256-1302) was a Saxon Christian saint. She died in the monastery of Helfta. As a young girl, she joined the Benedictine monastery at Helfta, under the direction of its abbess, Gertrude of Hackeborn. She is sometimes confused with her abbess, which is why she is often incorrectly depicted in art holding a crosier. She later experienced a conversion to God and began to strive for perfection in her religious life, turning her scholarly talents to scripture and theology. Many of the writings of St. Gertrude have unfortunately perished. Those now extant are: The Legatus Divinae Pietatis, the Exercises of St. Gertrude and the Liber Specialis Gratiae of St. Mechtilde. The Exercises, which are seven in number, embrace the work of the reception of baptismal grace to the preparation for death. Her glowing language deeply impregnated with the liturgy and scriptures exalts the soul imperceptibly to the heights of contemplation. St. Gertrude the Great hada very special devotion for the Sacred Heart. St. Gertrude taught that Jesus has given us the gift of His Sacred Heart so that, when suffering, we can seek our refuge and our consolation there. The characteristic trait of St. Gertrude's piety is her devotion to the Sacred Heart, the symbol of that immense charity which urged the Word to take flesh, to institute the Holy Eucharist, to take on Himself our sins, and, dying on the Cross, to offer Himself as a victim and a sacrifice to the Eternal Father.
