Unia Europejska wspiera podnoszenie kompetencji i współpracę międzynarodową wyższych uczelni poprzez dofinansowanie staży zagranicznych kadry dydaktycznej i studentów. Wsparcie UE istnieje od 1987 roku, a od 2007 roku objęło ono również bibliotekarzy. W artykule zaprezentowano osobliwości alpejskiego miasta Innsbruck oraz przebieg stażu zagranicznego pracownika Biblioteki Politechniki Lubelskiej w Universitäts- und Landesbibliothek Tirol in Innsbruck. Omówiono katalogi i bazy danych.
The European Union is supporting raising competence and the international cooperation of universities by funding partially foreign internships of the teaching staff and students. The EU programme has been functioning from 1987 and from 2007 it also embraces librarians. The article presents the curiosities of the Alpine city of Innsbruck and the course of a foreign internship of an employee of the Lublin Technical University Library in the University and Domestic Library Tyrol in Innsbruck (Universitäts- und Landesbibliothek Tirol in Innsbruck).
