Opis:: On 6 January 2020, a solemn Holy Mass was held in the Church of the Holy Spirit in Zielona Góra on the occasion of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the anointment of Bishop Stefan Regmunt. The bishop thanked God for his pastoral work in the diocese of Legnica and the diocese of Zielona Góra and Gorzów. The homilies were delivered by Bishop Marek Mendyk, who cooperated with Bishop Regmunt in the diocese of Legnica. After the Holy Mass, Archbishop Andrzej Dzięga, the Metropolitan Bishop of Szczecin and Kamień, spoke on behalf of the clergy. The representatives of state and local authorities wished him all the best and thanked him for many years of cooperation. A number of diocesan communities also expressed their thanks and wishes. In the years 2007-2015, Bishop Stefan Regmunt was the bishop of the diocese of Zielona Góra and Gorzów.

Opis:: Bishop Adam Dyczkowski was born on 17 November 1932 in Kęty. He grew up in the Catholic tradition and in a deeply religious atmosphere. On 23 June 1957, he was ordained a priest by Bishop Bolesław Kominek in the Wrocław cathedral. In September 1978, he became the auxiliary bishop of the diocese of Wrocław. In 1993, the pope appointed him bishop of the Zielona Góra and Gorzów diocese. He was involved in the pastoral work and established the structures of Catholic Action, Catholic Youth Association, Caritas and many other communities. The Holy Father John Paul II was invited to the diocese by Bishop Adam and arrived there in June 1997, which was a historic event in these lands. He was made a freeman of the three main cities of our diocese: Zielona Góra, Gorzów Wielkopolski and Głogów. He died on 10 January 2021, at the age of 88. He was buried in the crypt of the Gorzów Cathedral.
