- The aim of the research conducted and demonstrated in the monograph was to develop possible visions for the development of digitisation of production processes and digital competences of the society in the perspective of 2030. In order to achieve this goal, the STEEPVL analysis was carried out and scenario analysis according to the school of intuitive logic was adopted. As a result, a list of factors influencing the digitisation of production processes and the increase in digital competences of the society was obtained. The assessment of the factors in terms of importance and uncertainty of their development in the perspective of 2030 led to four qualitatively different scenarios of the analysed phenomena. The monograph consists of seven chapters. The first one presents digitisation as a global economic trend. It depicts publication trends in the area of digitisation developed with the use of VOSviewer software and outlines the essence of digitisation. The second chapter demonstrates the research methodology based on the intuitive logic school of scenario construction. The third chapter focuses on the presentation of the results of the STEEPVL analysis in the area of production digitisation, which identified 41 factors influencing the research area. The fourth chapter depicts the process of identifying key factors and a description of selected scenarios for the digitisation of production processes. The fifth chapter focuses on presenting the results of STEEPVL analysis in the area of digital competence. The essence of the sixth chapter is to bring readers closer to the process of identifying key factors in the area of digital competences and to demonstrate selected scenarios for the development of digital competences in the perspective of 2030. The seventh chapter of the paper offers detailed recommendations aimed at making the desired scenarios in the area of digitisation of the production process and digital competences of the society plausible. The results of the research and observations demonstrated in this monograph may provide useful guidelines for understanding both the very phenomenon of development of digital competence of the society and its determinants. The conclusions presented in the monograph allow also to look at the analysed phenomena from the perspective of possible directions of their development, because they provide a description of four qualitatively different scenarios of the future of digitisation processes and increase of digital competences of the society. This work may also be useful for researchers interested in exploring the future and methodology of such research and the theme of digitisation of production processes as well as digital competence enhancement. Potential addressees of this monograph may also be entrepreneurs, students of management, IT and technical faculties.
