PUSH AND PULL FACTORS
SELECTIVE MOBILITY - Opis:
- International labour migration is considered by many emigrants as a temporary venture, often planned as a short-term and/or one-time activity. Such a way of understanding work abroad has implications that make it difficult or even impossible for emigrants to return to so-called "normal life". We can even speak of falling into a trap of temporariness or a migration loop. A characteristic feature of this situation is the formation of a space with limited social control, which causes numerous problems. The article is an attempt to describe these problems, which - as they are experienced by emigrants - create, together with the situation on the domestic labour market, a set of factors conducive to falling into and remaining in a loop of temporariness.
