    Opis:
    Unloading bays are one of the most popular and simple to implement solutions to support development of sustainable urban freight transport systems. The solution is aimed at reducing congestion on busy city streets, which is often caused by freight vehicles that, in an attempt to load or unload their cargoes, park directly in traffic lanes. Where dedicated unloading bays are in place, the traffic is undisturbed, which helps to prevent extra consumption of energy and fuel, and thus extra pollution, and which also makes it possible to avoid wasting time in traffic jams and ensuing costs. Therefore, the major benefit derived from this solution is its contribution to reduction of traffic congestion, followed by a perceptible decrease in pollutant emissions. This article aims at developing an algorithm for recommended distribution of unloading bays based on the reported locations of delivery points and parameters related to varied quantities of goods and the number of available parking spaces in the vicinity of unloading bays. Additionally, it addresses the issue of using unloading bays as EV charging stations. The proposed solution was implemented on the basis of a dedicated road traffic simulator based on the original cellular automaton model..

    Opis:
    Transport is one of the main sectors of the economy, which has a significant impact on the economic development. Efficient transport systems are the basis of economic competitiveness. However development of transport, especially in the case of road transport, results many inconvenience, like negative environmental impact, accidents or increase of congestion in cities. From the perspective of sustainable development the most important one is pollution. Depending on the type of emitted substances, transport pollution is of local or global nature. Considering the emission of pollutants in urban areas, emitted toxic compounds mainly impact the local pollution the environment. This paper is focused on utilization of Internet tools for visualization of data regarding local pollutions in urban transport systems. This is the example of tool, which could be helpful in analysis of present functioning of UFT

    Funkcjonowanie gospodarki miejskiej uzależnione jest od dostępności towarów w obiektach handlowych, np. w centrach handlowych, sklepach spożywczych, wielobranżowych i przemysłowych. We współczesnych miastach można wyodrębnić trzy kluczowe grupy interesariuszy Miejskiego Transportu Towarowego (MTT). Pierwszą grupę, stanowią mieszkańcy, którzy reprezentują określone potrzeby konsumpcyjne w zakresie dóbr (towarów) i usług, ale także reprezentują określony poziom dojrzałości w zakresie akceptacji pryncypiów zrównoważonego rozwoju. Drugą grupę stanowi biznes, który jest rynkową odpowiedzią na zgłaszane przez mieszkańców zapotrzebowania poprzez oferowanie określonej podaż dóbr i usług. Wreszcie, trzecią grupę stanowią władze miasta, które realizują określoną strategię, m.in. przez politykę transportową. Jednym ze sposobów zapewnienia konsensusu pomiędzy różnymi grupami interesariuszy o odrębnych potrzebach są partnerstwa na rzecz jakości transportu towarowego (Freight Quality Partnership). Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie doświadczeń praktycznych, wynikających z eksperymentalnego wdrożenia tego typu partnerstwa w Szczecinie oraz wyników analiz, stanowiących podstawę dla implementacji rozwiązań ograniczających negatywne oddziaływanie MTT na środowisko miejskie.
    Functioning of urban infrastructure, depending on the availability of goods at retail outlets, such as shopping malls, grocery stores, multi-branch and industrial. Three major groups of Urban Freight Transport have been identified. The first group represents the consumer requirements for goods and services, but also in terms of acceptance of the principles of sustainable development. The second one includes the business entities, which are focused on the response for the city users’ needs and expectations. Finally, the third group are city authorities which implement a particular strategy of the city development. One of the ways to reach consensus among different stakeholder groups is the Freight Quality Partnership. The aim of the paper is to introduce the practical experiences resulting from the experimental implementation of this type of partnership in Szczecin and the results of analyzes, which are the basis for the implementation of the measures limiting the negative impact of UFT on the urban environment.

    Zastosowanie transportu samochodowego jako dominującej gałęzi transportu, wykorzystywanej do realizacji dostaw na terenach miast prowadzi do wielu negatywnych skutków związanych głównie z występowaniem efektu kongestii, zanieczyszczeniem środowiska, bezpieczeństwem na drogach, wizerunkiem miasta i jego funkcjonalnością, a także zapotrzebowaniem na energię. Od wielu lat podejmowane są działania mające na celu ograniczanie tych negatywnych skutków. Jednym ze sposobów jest zastosowanie procesu uczenia się od najlepszych zgodnie z zasadami benchmarkingu. Podejście oparte na wykorzystywaniu dobrych praktyk stanowi podstawę wielu europejskich projektów z obszaru logistyki miejskiej. W artykule przedstawiono doświadczenia wynikające z realizacji czterech tego typu przedsięwzięć. Omówiono specyfikę projektów oraz metodyki w nich stosowane. Celem artykułu jest uwypuklenie najważniejszych podobieństw w nich występujących, co może stanowić istotna wskazówkę przy podejmowaniu decyzji wdrożeniowych.
    The use of road transport as a dominant transport mode, used for urban deliveries, has a number of negative impacts, mainly due to the congestion effect, environmental pollution, road safety, city image and functionality, and the need for energy. For many years, efforts have been made to reduce these negative effects. One way is to apply the learning process from the bests, according to benchmarking concept. A good practice approach is the basis of many European urban logistics projects. The paper is focused on the experience resulting from the implementation of four such projects. The specificity of the projects and the methodologies used in them were discussed. The aim of the paper is to highlight the most important similarities in them, which may be an important hint when making implementation decisions.

    One of the most important problem in the analysis of city logistics systems is data collection. The solution, which could support this process is utilization of independent, easy to use devices. The paper is focused on the example of utilization the portable road traffic detectors. These devices are easy to use tools, which can help to collect traffic data including the vehicles classification. The Authors will introduce an example of practical utilization of this kind of device, Sierzega SR4, as well as the advantages related to that.
