- The objective of the studies was to assess the bearing capacity of macadam forest roads made from ungraded crushed stone and two−layered macadam depending on earth−water conditions of the subgrade. The effect of the synthetic reinforcement of natural subgrade on the bearing capacity was also examined. Deflection in the road pavement after a two−year period of exploitation was assessed. The size of deflection was compared with the deflection module and the type of the subgrade and materials used for road construction were analysed
