- The work is an attempt to formulate conservation postulates for the 19th-century town by means of a tabular presentation of the analysis of its spatial and architectural values. The analysis has been made on the example of a part of the centre of Łódź with buildings from the 19th century and a characteristic layout; the scope of the analysis has been adjusted to the requirements of the town’s revival. The subject of the analysis were features that determined cultural values such as the time of the creation of the structure, the present condition of architectural froms and elements of the interiors, artistic values, style features and historic values as well as qualities of its usefulness for revival purposes, to mention only its positioning and technical condition. The information obtained has been rendered in a tabular form and presented graphically on a location plan (1 : 500) according to the importance of the features studied. It seems that the proposed way of a tabular rendering of the analysis of values as a graphical presentation of conservation postulates could be applied to various complexes of the 19th-century buildings.
