The organization of railway traffic is a complex decision-making problem. Its complexity results from the multiplicity of problems and from the number of factors, which should be considered. Amongst the research areas, concerning the organization of railway traffic construction of rational train timetable is taking the essential place. In the article was described technical-organizational conditioning of the construction of graphic train timetable. We presented mathematical models of the construction of train timetable, in which we took into account-selected boundary conditions. A way of solving a problem was presented also. Issues of the construction of the graphic train timetable, technical-organizational conditioning of the construction of the graphic train timetable, the organization of the rail traffic and the formalization of the record of the construction of the graphic, boundary conditions and indicators of the quality assessment of the solution, the areas of research concerning the problem of the organization of railway traffic, correct preparing of the graphic timetable, mathematical model are presented in the paper. Introduced in outline mathematical model allows for pathing of trains on the graphic timetable in compliance with priorities of pathing.

W artykule omówiony został problem wykorzystania teorii kolejek do badania i oceny działania transportu kolejowego. Zaprezentowano obszary modelowania procesów w transporcie kolejowym do badania których wykorzystana została teoria kolejkowa. Omówiono wykorzystanie metody sieci faz procesu w badaniu płynności ruchu na linii kolejowej. W artykule przeprowadzono badania płynności ruchu na dwóch szlakach: Warszawa Zachodnia – Warszawa Włochy oraz Warszawa Włochy – Pruszków dla kierunku zasadniczego – tory dedykowane dla ruchu pasażerskiego podmiejskiego. Badania przeprowadzono dla dwóch wariantów: wariantu gdy urządzenia samoczynnej blokady liniowej na obu szlakach są sprawne oraz gdy na pierwszym szlaku uległy uszkodzeniu. Badania przeprowadzono z wykorzystaniem aplikacji Java Modelling Tools – JSIMgraph.
In the article were discussed a problem of using the queueing theory for the examination and evaluation of the railway transport problems. We presented the areas of railway transport processes modelling for the examination of which a queue theory was used. We discussed using phases of the network method in the examination of fluidity of movement on the railway line. In the article were carried out examinations of fluidity of movement on two open lines: Warszawa Zachodnia – Warszawa Włochy and Warszawa Włochy – Pruszków for fundamental direction - tracks dedicated for suburban passenger traffic. The research was conducted for two variants: variant when control command and signalling line equipment on both open lines are effective and when on the first open line has been damaged. The research was conducted using Java Modelling Tools – JSIMgraph.

Rower to środek transportu, który coraz chętniej jest wykorzystywany do realizacji codziennych podróży w obszarach silnie zurbanizowanych. W artykule scharakteryzowano model ruchu rowerowego, który został przygotowany w ramach Warszawskiego Badania Ruchu 2015. Przedstawiono założenia, które przyjęto na etapie prac koncepcyjnych oraz opisano model w sposób ogólny oraz implementację w środowisku PTV VISUM. Szczegółowo scharakteryzowano model sieci oraz model popytu. Zaprezentowano problematykę kalibracji modelu. Uzyskane rezultaty są unikatowe na skalę krajową.
Bicycle is a mean of transport which is increasingly eager used for the realization of daily travel in heavily urbanized areas. The article describes model of bicycle traffic, which was prepared under the Warsaw Travel Household Survey 2015. We presented guidelines, which have been adopted at the conceptual stage and described model in general as well as its implementation in the environment of PTV VISUM. The network model and demand model has been characterized in detail. The issues of model calibration have been presented. Obtained results are unique on the national scale.

Rail traffic organization is a multifactorial decision-making problem. To achieve the best results and reduce the risk of error when deciding on its implementation, appropriate algorithms should be identified and implemented in the form of computer tools, allowing for the optimal solution to be obtained. This paper discusses the process of organizing freight traffic on the rail network. The algorithm of relocating loaded cars in a compact and dispersed system is discussed. In turn, it is been indicated that the movement of empty and loaded cars must follow a strictly defined timetable. A heuristic algorithm supporting decision-making in the area of rail freight traffic management is presented, divided between the concept development stage, the timetable design stage for the developed concept, and its implementation in the form of specialized tools. An example of how the application works is also presented.

The article presents the principles of freight transport model for transport planning in urban agglomerations construction. We presented one of the concept for its preparation and necessary assumptions, which should be adopted on conceptual stage. We show the example of freight model for Warsaw agglomeration, which was prepared under the Warsaw Travel Household Survey 2015. We presented formal record of the model with its implementation in the environment PTV VISUM. We characterized the network model and demand model and presented the issues of the model calibration. Developed model is a fully featured tool for modelling of travels of heavy goods vehicles in the area of Warsaw agglomeration. In addition, in accordance to the cooperation with the model of passenger traffic in the individual and public transport, as well as the model of bicycle traffic, it is an integral part of a comprehensive tool for modelling, analysis and evaluation of mobility behaviour of Warsaw agglomeration inhabitants, as well as business entities located in this area. Calibrated model of freight traffic for the existing situation is the basis for the implementation of traffic forecasts, which are analyses the state of the transport system in the future.

Opis:
Transport is one of the most environmentally destructive branches of economy. It contributes to environmental degradation and influences negatively on human live. It should therefore seek to reduce the negative impact on the environment. The paper presents many aspects of development of the national transport system. In article characterized technical constraints and environmental issues, which are applicable to the designing of pro-ecological transport system. Presented in it also indicators of the proposed design solution quality. In shaping the pro-ecological system the special role plays environmental restrictions, because they mainly determine the quality of solutions in terms of minimizing the negative impact of transport on the environment. Technical factors are equally important, because they allow, among others, reducing the external costs of congestions and allow on the creation of transport tasks on the appropriate level. In particularly, EU requirements for sustainable development of the transport system, the components of the external costs arising from the sphere of transport, indicators and ecological limitations in designing of pro-ecological transport system, ecological limitations, technical limitations, indicators for assessing pro-ecological transport system are presented in the paper.

W artykule scharakteryzowano model ruchu towarowego, który został przygotowany w ramach Warszawskiego Badania Ruchu 2015. Przedstawiono założenia, które przyjęto na etapie prac koncepcyjnych oraz opisano model w sposób ogólny, wraz z jego implementacją w środowisku PTV VISUM. Szczegółowo scharakteryzowano model sieci oraz model popytu. Zaprezentowano problematykę kalibracji modelu. Opracowany model jest w pełni funkcjonalnym narzędziem do modelowaniu ruchu pojazdów ciężarowych w obszarze aglomeracji warszawskiej. Dodatkowo dzięki współpracy z modelem ruchu pasażerów w komunikacji indywidualnej i zbiorowej, a także modelem ruchu rowerów stanowi integralny element kompleksowego narzędzia do modelowania, analizy i oceny zachowań komunikacyjnych mieszkańców aglomeracji warszawskiej, jak również podmiotów gospodarczych zlokalizowanych na tym obszarze.
The article describes a model of freight traffic which was prepared under the Warsaw Traffic Survey 2015. Assumptions adopted at the conceptual stage have been presented and general model and its implementation in the environment PTV VISUM have been described. Network model and demand model were characterized in details. Issues of model calibration have been presented as well. Presented model is a fully featured tool for modelling the traffic of vehicles in the area of Warsaw agglomeration. In addition, thanks to the cooperation with model of passenger traffic in the individual and public transport, as well as a model of bicycles, presented model is an integral part of a comprehensive tool for modelling, analysis and evaluation of mobility behaviour of inhabitants of Warsaw agglomeration, as well as operating businesses located in this area.

Railway transport is considered the most environmentally friendly. However, taking into account all factors, (including point pollution associated with the production of energy necessary for the movement of electric traction vehicles); this position is attractive, but a little less. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure that the amount of energy produced for railway transport is sufficient, but the lowest as possible. Creating new systems whose components for correct operation require a supply of electricity, they should be designed in such a way as to consume as little energy but meeting a series of standards. The aim of the article is to review selected requirements for the power supply of a railway vehicle equipped with automatic train control devices and identification of energy demand in the scope of supplying the rmCBTC on-board system, which is being developed by Rail-Mil Computers Company from Warsaw and the Faculty of Transport of the Warsaw University of Technology. The article presents an analysis of formal and legal requirements in the field of traction vehicles. Reference was made to the list of the Office of Rail Transport and the standards not included in it − PN-EN 50155, PN-EN 61000-6 and PN-EN 50125-2. Energy requirements in the field of traction vehicles equipped with an automatic train control system have been identified − e.g. voltage range of the on-board system, permissible decays, voltage dips, disturbances and environmental requirements. The energy requirements for the rmCBTC on-board system were also identified.
