birth of Jesus Christ - Opis:
- The author imagined a short history of parallel worlds, created by human mind in order to have them as a model to play with and to solve human everyday problems. These worlds include various kinds of art such as literature, music, dance and fine art with its different forms of figures and puppets. At the beginning figures were treated by men as small idols and gradually became the puppets of the puppet theatre. Among the greatest stories of human culture, Mahabharata and Birth of Jesus Christ became most popular among common people, reaching the status of folkloric presentation. Artists were also interested in figures and puppets both as an existential metaphor and a model for the actor. However their interest was temporary. Teachers and educationists using puppets as therapeutic instruments allowing their prot to feel the touch of transcendence showed more attachment to puppets as creatures on the edge of life and death.
