Opis:: The significance of component-based software and component platforms has increased over the last twenty years. To achieve full flexibility, a reconfiguration process is needed that allows us to change system parameters without rebuilding or restarting. In terms of components, such a process should be executed with extraordinary care, since the contracts between components must be preserved. In this article, a model of reconfiguration (including the roles of the components to be used in this process) is proposed. The provided solution is general and could be applied to many component platforms.

Opis:: In the present paper, the authors have analyzed the technical requirements for military vehicles acquired by way of purchase or research and development works on road, air and rail transportability. The issue of defining technical requirements has been addressed, since they are crucial elements of qualification tests. Transportability requirements verify a vehicle’s suitability for various types of transport, its adaptation to loading and the strength of its brackets. The authors have reviewed the normative documents on the transportability of military vehicles, based on which the analysis was carried out in the context of current technical requirements. The article also deals with issues related to vehicle’s transportability examinations. This type of testing is carried out at the Armored Combat Vehicle Laboratory at the Military Institute of Armored and Automotive Technology in Sulejówek. The authors have also discussed the possibilities of the application of reverse engineering in transportability examinations.

Opis:: Police cars are very often driven as priority vehicles, reaching high speed in the open road traffic. That is why the parameters related to vehicle stability and steerability should be very high. This paper is an attempt to answer the question to what extent a typical driver can feel, and what is more important – take advantage of technical changes in the chassis in order to increase the speed in the performance of a test, or to enhance the safety of the drive. In this paper the authors attempt to assess to what extent the results of measurements of vehicle dynamics are affected by the driver and to what extent by particular technical solutions. The work was carried out under research and development project no. OR00000911 "Determination of the technical requirements and the equipment necessary in police cars on the basis of tests on model demonstrators" and previous results obtained in tests carried out in the Military Institute of Armored and Automotive Technology (WITPiS).The tests were carried out on the basis of a KIA CEED, currently one of the models most frequently used by the Police.

Opis:: The results of numerical modeling of direct and indirect extrusion process of a model alloy of high strain-rate sensitivity at room temperature, Sn38Pb, are presented. The studies were carried out for three values of die angle, three temperatures, four ram speed values, two values of extrusion coefficient and two values of friction factor. Effect of extrusion process parameters on distribution of effective strain, effective strain rate in extruded bar and extrusion load was estimated.
W pracy przedstawiono wyniki modelowania numerycznego procesu wyciskania współbieżnego i przeciwbieżnego stopu modelowego Sn38Pb o wysokiej czułości na prędkość odkształcenia w temperaturze otoczenia. Badania wykonano dla matrycy o trzech kątach, w trzech temperaturach, przy czterech prędkościach przesuwu stempla, dla dwóch wartości współczynnika wyciskania i dwóch wartości współczynnika tarcia. Oceniano rozkład intensywności odkształcenia i siłę wyciskania.

Opis:: From among various industrial contaminants which can pollute agricultural environment, heavy metals having the capacity of bioaccumulation deserve special attention. The total composition analysis of the heavy metals content in the polluted soils does not provide enough data about their accessibility to the crops cultivated on these soils. It is very important to have the information about the forms in which the examined element exists, because it decides about its mobility and toxicity for the environment. Using the sequential chemical extraction method of Zeien and Brümmer the fractions of Cu, Pb, Zn, Cd and As in the soils influenced by emissions from the Copper Smelter GŁOGÓW, were investigated. The aim of these investigations was to determine the availability assessment of the mentioned elements to the crops cultivated in this region.

Opis:: Operation of stopping the driver that don.t subordinate to the police order is very difficult and danger. Hazard can concern both the officer, halted person and third party persons. In the scope of tests there have been done series of controlled runs over the road spike strip with different speeds, beginning from typical town traffic sped, up to the speeds characteristic for driving on motorway. It has been tested not only the car behaviour during the moment of tire puncture, but also stability and driveability when driving with already failed tire. It has been done comparison of standard tyres and Run On Flat tyres, that enables driving without pressure. For both tyre types have been done tests of breaking effort and realized tour drives up to complete destroying the tyre shoulder. This test aimed to test usefulness the Run On Flat tyres for police vehicles. The job has been realized within a framework of research - developing project nr 0R00000911, "Elaborating the technical requirements and range of necessary equipment for police vehicles, on the base of tests of standard demonstrations" carried out by Military Institute of Armoured and Automotive Technology in cooperation with Firm MZ, Kutno.
Operacja zatrzymania kierowcy niepodporządkowującego się poleceniom Policji, jest bardzo trudna i niebezpieczna. Zagrożenie może dotyczyć zarówno samego funkcjonariusza, osoby zatrzymywanej jak i osób postronnych. W ramach badań wykonano serie kontrolowanych przejazdów po kolczatce policyjnej z różnymi prędkościami, zaczynając od typowych prędkości w ruchu miejskim, aż do osiągnięcia prędkości charakterystycznych dla jazdy po autostradzie. Sprawdzono nie tylko zachowanie się pojazdu podczas momentu przebicia opony, ale również kierowalność i stateczność pojazdu podczas jazdy z już uszkodzoną oponą. Wykonano także porównanie standardowych opon i opon typu Run On Flat, umożliwiających jazdę bez ciśnienia powietrza. Dla obu typów opon przeprowadzono sprawdzenie skuteczności hamowania i wykonano jazdy przebiegowe, aż do chwili całkowitego zniszczenia barku opony. Badania te miały na celu sprawdzenie przydatności opon typu Run On Flat, w pojazdach policyjnych. Prace były realizowane w ramach projektu badawczo-rozwojowego nr 0R00000911, "Opracowanie wymagań technicznych i zakresu niezbędnego wyposażenia dla pojazdów policyjnych, na podstawie badań wzorcowych demonstratorów", prowadzonego przez WITPiS wraz z firma AMZ Kutno.

Opis:: One of the dramatic effects of global warming is the retreat of glaciers. This phenomenon has intensified in the last two decades. Postglacial areas are quickly colonised by various groups of organisms. Auto- and heterotrophic microorganisms play an especially vital role in these processes. They thrive in shallow glacial lagoons which often form in front of retreating glaciers. These reservoirs are characterised by high dynamics of physicochemical parameters, including: salinity, temperature and concentrations of organic compounds and nutrients. The conducted microbiological studies have revealed rich structural and functional diversity of bacteria occurring in the ecosystem of Ecology Lagoon situated on King George Island. Bacteria found on the surface of algae and stones in the shore zone of the lagoon showed particularly intense metabolic activity. A molecular analysis has indicated that unique taxonomic groups of bacteria occur in the ecosystem of Ecology Lagoon.
