- The article describes particular stages of investigation on foundation soil in Poland and current legal situation on documenting results of subsoil tests andprocedures for approving geological engineering documentation. Quality of performed tests in compliance with assumed geological structure ofregion was described. Issues on selection ofinvestigation points placement for completion of linear structures and constructions with deep foundations were also raised. Moreover, geotechnical risks arisingfrom impreciselyperformed tests on geological engineering were characterized.The article describes the current legal situation con- cerning research documenting the subsoil and procedures for the approval of geological and engineering.
