Opis:
The limnological research has explored an immense momentum throughout the world over previous few decades. It has evolved as an individual division of ecology and numerous fields of specialization in limnology are acknowledged such as physical limnology, chemical limnology, planktonology, paleolimnology and limnology of specific areas like desert, high altitudes, temperate region, tropical region etc. The Swift advances in the field of limnology have taken place particularly in European countries and North America. Eutrophication, community dynamics, planktonology and pollution is an actively engaged viewpoint of various laboratories in exploring inland water bodies. The current article is an endeavor to give a widespread analysis and furnish a broad review of literature associated with the initiation of limnology and work done in Indian sub-continent with one hundred seventy four quoted references.

Opis:
The management of biodiversity in an aquatic ecosystem is considered as one of the leading concern of enabling sustainable use of natural resources. Fishes have a broad impact on the survival and prosperity of other living creatures in their habitat. Diversity in freshwater fishes and its richness in Sant-Sarover Pond, Mount Abu were studied in the period of 2018-19 in five different sampling sites. The present study deals with the total number of précised fish population, species dispersion patterns and homogeneity in Sant-Sarover Pond. The pond exhibits nearby eight fish species which indicates that the pond supports eternal fish inhabitants. The variety in fish population in Sant-Sarover Pond is a significant marker of enormous diversity in an aquatic ecosystem, as an outcome it pursue vast range of survival conditions.

Soil parameter balances the ecological symmetry in a lake-ecosystem. It determines the portability of water through its inter-relationship among phytoplanktons and zooplanktons. The purpose of the study is to identify the status of soil parameters in different seasons across the surrounding area of Nakki Lake, Mount Abu (2017-19). The soil parameters were analyzed and based on the results of the physico-chemical parameters of the soil; it confirms that the soil in the surrounding area of Nakki Lake in winter season can be classified as moderately alkaline soil. The soil analysis shows a linear positive correlation found with undeviating pattern (r = 1.000) of Clay with Bulk density and nitrogen; chloride with sulphur. Permeability is showing strong negative correlation with most of the soil parameters and shows linear trend in negative correlation (r = -1.000) with potassium.

Opis:
The objective of the research is to identify the status of physico-chemical parameters of the soil in the surrounding area of Nakki-Lake, Mount Abu, Rajasthan, India. Soil parameter plays a major role in determining the planktonic and plant biodiversity, which determines the portability of water and their inter-relationship among zooplanktons and other animals; balances the environmental equilibrium in a lake-ecosystem. The physico-chemical parameters were studied and the result confirms that the soil in the surrounding area of Nakki-Lake can be classified as moderately alkaline soil with (pH 7.11), Average Sand Content (75.12%), Silt Content (11.23%), Clay Content (6.25%), Organic Matter (3.36%), Permeability (27.66 mm/hr), Air Filled Porosity (14.33%) and other parameters showed low mean values including Nitrogen (0.23 mg/L), Phosphorus (52.33 mg/L), Potassium (732.67 mg/L), Magnesium (153.67 mg/L), Chloride (4108.33 mg/L), Sulphur (244.33 mg/L). The soil samples showed an average of Bulk Density (1453 kg/m3), Specific Gravity (2.62), Fusion Point (1245.67 °C), Total Combustible (0.22%), Exchangeable Sodium (0.91%), Calcium Carbonate (1.48%), Effective Temperature of Destruction (971.33 °C), Electrical Conductivity - CaSO4 Extract (2447 μS/cm) while average nitrate and sulphate levels were 31.19 mg/l and 123.73 mg/l respectively. Based on the result of the quality parameters of the soil analysis, the nature of the soil in Nakki Lake and the surrounding area is alkaline.

Opis:
Limnological parameter promotes ecological diversity and acts as major key factors of the water body. The portability of water can be determined by planktonic and fish diversity in that water body. Mount Abu (Arbudanchal) is also referred as a place with abode of Gods as it is sated with devotion of all faith. The research site Sant-Sarover Pond has a mythological importance among the localised. In the weather cycle of monsoon (2018), the specific status of limnological characteristic, planktonic diversity and ichthyofauna of Sant-Sarover Pond have been studied through top and bottom water samples. The Limnological parameters of Sant-Sarover Pond showed low mean values including hardness (104.83 mg/l) and TDS (142.0 mg/l)) with optimum alkaline water (pH 7.12), and alkalinity of (98.50 mg/l) Secchi Depth of 80 cm. The average nitrate and sulphate levels were 28.57 mg/l and 122.28 mg/l while average dissolved oxygen levels were at 5.45 mg/l respectively. Based on the results of limnological parameters of water, Sant-Sarover Pond is eutrophic.

Limnological parameter plays a key role in determining the ecological biodiversity. Planktonic diversity can be considered as a major key factor for determining the portability of water. Nakki Lake has the greatest importance amongst the localised. With a seasonal survey, the specific status of limnological characteristic and planktonic diversity in Nakki Lake have been studied through different weather cycles (2017) across three region based on the geography and in contact with human population over top and bottom water samples. With moderately alkaline water (pH 7.08), alkalinity of (102.16 mg/l) and other limnological parameters showed low mean values including TDS (161.83 mg/l), chloride (109.73 mg/l), and hardness (95.66 mg/l). The average dissolved oxygen levels were at 5.75 mg/l while average nitrate and sulphate levels were 31.19 mg/l and 123.73 mg/l respectively. Based on the results of quality parameters of water and soil, Nakki Lake is eutrophic.
