- During the queries performed in Vienna in 2013 in the Archives of War, 37 cartons of the following fonds were examined: The Supreme Army Command (operational, quartermaster, information branches and record office); New Field Records (Army Command 1 and 4, Army Staged Command 4, 9. and 11. Command of the Corps, 4. Infantry Division, 106th Infantry Division Landsturm); Ministry of War (War Authority Office). There were registered files relating to Józef Pilsudski (exemption from the Polish Legions and the appointment of the Provisional Council of State), the Polish Legions (volunteers and recruitment, leave, salary, awards, uniforms, promotions, refinement, orders and personnel issues, as in the First Brigade) and the Polish Military Organization (activities and investigations conducted by the Austro-Hungarian authorities).
