    Przedstawione w artykule badania dotyczyły wpływu 1-MCP na zmiany zawartości niektórych związków biologicznie czynnych w przechowywanych owocach pomidora. Pomidory odmiany Faustine F1 były zebrane w stadium dojrzałości: „zielone wyrośnięte” i „czerwone”. Owoce traktowane 1-metylocyklopropenem (1-MCP) w stężeniach 1,0 μ·L-1 i 2,0 μl·L-1 oraz kontrolne – nie traktowane, przechowywano w normalnej atmosferze w temperaturze 12,5°C i 20°C przy wilgotności względnej powietrza 85-90%. Bezpośrednio po zbiorze i po 4 tygodniach przechowywania, wykonano analizy zawartości likopenu, witaminy C i polifenoli. Uzyskane wyniki wskazują na istotny wpływ traktowania 1-MCP oraz fazy dojrzałości owoców na zawartość wymienionych związków chemicznych w owocach pomidora.
    Experiments on the influence of 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP) on the quality of tomato fruit were conducted. Tomatoes of cv. Faustine F1 were grown in field condition and harvested at two stages of maturity (mature green and fullred) were treated after harvest with 1-MCP in concentrations of 1.0 μl·L-1 or 2.0 μl·L-1 for 21 hours at 20o C. Than stored for 4 weeks 12.5°C or 20°C and 85-90% RH. Lycopene, phenolics and vitamin C contents before and after storage of the fruit were analyzed. Contents of lycopene, vitamin C and phenolics was significantly dependent on 1-MCP treatment and stages of maturity.

    Introduction. Arthropod-borne viruses are important causes of human morbidity worldwide. However, the available literatur and the epidemiological data concerning the importation to Poland of globally emerging arboviral infections, such as DENV, CHIKV, WNV, or ZIKV, are scarce. Only few seroepidemiologic studies concerning WNV in animals or humans in Poland have been published. Objective. The aim of this review paper is to summarize and present the current state of knowledge and the perspectives for research concerning the importation and the risk posed by the introduction to Poland of the four above-mentioned arboviral diseases. Current state of knowledge. Climate change may facilitate the northward expansion of both the vectors for diseases previously unseen in Europe, as well as of the viruses themselves, resulting in autochthonous cases of diseases previously exclusively imported. Little is known about the importation of arboviral diseases to Poland because of the frequently asymptomatic or self-limiting course of the disease, lack of epidemiologic studies or effective disease reporting, as well as inadequate access to diagnostic methods. Conclusions. Further epidemiologic studies in Polish travellers are necessary in order to prevent importation or introduction of the above-mentioned viruses, and to act against potential problems related to blood transfusion or organ transplantation from infected donors.

    W artykule opisano zmodernizowane stanowiska dydaktyczne wykorzystywane w czasie ćwiczeń laboratoryjnych z Wytrzymałości Materiałów na Wydziale Inżynierii Lądowej Politechniki Warszawskiej. Modernizacji dokonano poprzez wprowadzenie elektronicznej rejestracji siły w starszych maszynach wytrzymałościowych i stworzenie w środowisku LabVIEW programów komputerowych zbierających dane z różnych urządzeń pomiarowych.
    The article describes modernization of some devices used during the laboratory exercises of the Strength of Materials at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Warsaw University of Technology. Modernization has been made through the introduction of electronic registration of force in old machines and the creation of computer programs collecting data from various measuring devices used.

    The aim of the study was to determine the effect of 1-MCP (1-methylcyclopropene) treatment of tomato fruit on changes in physical properties during storage. The cultivar of ‘Faustine F1’ were grown on stakes in field conditions. The tomato fruits were harvested in mature green and full red stages of maturity. The fruits of tomato treated with 1-MCP at 1.0 μL·L-1 or 2.0 μL·L-1 and control fruit (untreated) were stored at 12.5°C and 20°C, and 85–90% relative humidity in normal air. Immediately after harvest and after 4 weeks of storage, fruit color analyzes were performed in the CIE L*a*b* system (L* – brightness, a* – intensity of red color, b* – intensity of yellow color) as well as firmness and compressive strength of the Instron apparatus 1140. The results of two-year observation of the physical properties of tomato fruits showed a differences in the values of the determined parameters depending on the 1-MCP treatment, maturity stage and storage temperature, and the year of the study. In 2009, the 1-MCP treatment of tomato fruits ‘Faustine F1’ resulted in more than twice as high firmness and compressive strength of fruits as compared to untreated fruit, and also significantly influenced changes in color parameters. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the 1-MCP treatment of tomato fruit is an effective way of delaying their ripening, maintaining high firmness, color and can be successfully used to extend their storage period.

Autorzy zaproponowali własne kryterium odporności na trwałe deformacje - parametr deformacji zdefiniowany jako iloraz odkształceń w powtarzalnym pełzaniu i długotrwałej relaksacji. Analiza odporności na trwałe deformacje mieszanki asfaltowej wykazała poprawność zaproponowanego parametru.
    Permanent deformations of asphalt pavement in slight temperature lead to ratting. The authors proposed their own criterion of resistance for permanent deformations - deformation parameter defined as a ratio of deformations in repeated creep and long term relaxation. Analysis of resistance for permanent deformations of asphalt mix indicated correctness of proposed parameter.

    Opis:
    Inherent heterogeneity of the networks increases risk factor and new security threats emerge due to the variety of network types and their vulnerabilities. This paper presents an example of applied security framework - the INTERSECTION. By referring to the ISO/IEC security standards and to the FP7 INTERSECTION project results, authors underline that in the processes of managing and planning security, investigating technology and business governance should be at least as important as formalizing the need for decisions on security cooperation between operators. INTERSECTION provides security mechanisms and introduces capability possible only with a management solution that is at a higher level than that of any of the connected systems alone.

Artykuł podzielony na dwie części przedstawiona ocenę laboratoryjną przydatności asfaltu 25/55-60 CR do zastosowania w betonie asfaltowym o wysokim module sztywności ACWMS. W części I przedstawiono badania lepiszczy, podczas gdy druga część dotyczy mieszanek ACWMS.
    The use of materials from recycled car tires in road pavements has been a subject of interest for scientific research for many years. A new type of polymer modified binder with crumb rubber was developed by the refinery of LOTOS Asphalt. This publication presents the results of research work carried out in IBDiM (Road and Bridge Research Institute). The aim was to perform laboratory evaluation of a binder 25/55-60 CR and assess the possibility of its application for high modulus asphalt concrete (ACWMS). Paper divided in two parts presents laboratory evaluation on usability of PMB modified with crumb rubber in high modulus asphalt concrete. Part I focuses on binder tests is devoted to binder tests, while the second part deals with bituminous mix.

    W części 1 autorzy zdefiniowali parametr funkcjonalny lepiszcza, jako iloraz odkształcenia w powtarzalnym pełzaniu i długotrwałej relaksacji. Obecnie wykonano badania koleinowania w małym i dużym aparacie w temperaturze 10°C i 30°C. Badania wykazały, że istnieje korelacja między tym parametrem a głębokością koleiny mieszanki mineralno-asfaltowej. Korelacja okazała się wyższa w temp. 10°C.
    In part 1, the authors proposed binder functional parameter, as a ratio of deformation in repeated creep and long term relaxation. Now, rutting tests have been made in small and large apparatus in temperature 10°C and 30°C. The tests showed correlation between this parameter rut depth. The correlation occurred higher in temperature 10°C.

    Opis:
    The low power reactor for microwave chemical vapor deposition process is described. The rotating Mo holder of 12 mm diameter and 6 mm height with the diamond substrate was heated by 2.45 GHz microwaves to temperature about 800°C in the range of (1.5-7)% $CH_{4}//H_{2}$ mixture to create plasma at pressure 70 Tr. Stabilization of the holder temperature was performed by optical observation of radiation from the holder followed by adjusting of the magnetron power. Diamond detectors are produced using microwave chemical vapor deposition process grown on single crystal diamond high pressure high temperature Sumimoto substrates, [100] oriented. The response of diamond detectors for X-rays has been measured in the current mode using medical X-rays tube. The linear response of the diamond detector current versus X-ray tube current (dose) is presented.

    Opis:
    Replacing the IPv4 protocol with IPv6 on the Internet is currently one of the aims of the European Union policy. The main reason for this replacement is the effeteness of the addresses pool in the IPv4 protocol, which can cause serious complications in the evolution of the Internet and its adaptation in new areas, e.g., in next generation mobile telephony or the so called Internet of Things. Simultaneously, the addressing capabilities of the IPv6 protocol are practically unlimited and its new functionalities increase the attractiveness of its usage. The article discusses the problems connected with the IPv6 deployment on the Internet. Especially, the rules for realization of the IPv6 deployment and rules for cooperation of IPv4 with IPv6 (including cooperation tests) in network infrastructure and in applications are presented. Moreover, the European projects' results and the activity's directions of the national project Future Internet Engineering are discussed.
