Opis:
Main goal of article was design, develop and control of Stop&Go system in Mild Hybrid Drive using supercondensator and starter with permanent magnets. Many researches and tests were done to determine real and then representative cycles of drive in Silesian agglomeration in Gliwice and Zabrze. Road researches enabled carrying out analysis of fluidity of traffic in cities and setting a percentage shares of movement micro stages (selected accelerations, driving with constant speed, braking, stopover). Researches of usefulness of supercondensators' system as an energy source in process of starting an internal combustion engine were done. Usage of supercondensators as an energy source of starting led to improvement of economic indicators of the Stop & Go system. Supercondensator has a 1000 times bigger durability than PbPbO2 battery with around 40 times smaller mass. Researchers of real characteristics of the car Fiat Palio Weekend 1,2 8V were done for calculations of traditional characteristics The Stop & Go system was designed and produced for this vehicle A starter, which will have NeFeB magnets built in stator instead of induction winding, was designed. A modernization of the starter is necessary because of different type of working - frequent starting of the internal combustion engine. A project of the Stop & Go system was carried out in the Fiat Palio car a project of the Stop & Go system for Mild Hybrid drive and verification of correctness of working has been carried out in the Fiat Palio car.

Opis:
The article presents problems connected with the biodiversity of soil microorganisms occurring on selected protected areas. Based on the literature, authors attempt to explain the concept of biodiversity, the role of soil in the natural environment and the importance of soil microorganisms. The article also presents selected anthropogenic factors that influence microorganisms found in soils under different forms of protection. The large species diversity of soil microorganisms is closely related to their functions in the soil. Soil microorganisms participate in all processes occurring in the soil. They influence humus formation, increase soil fertility, provide plants with nutrients by decomposing organic matter and fight pathogens. The special attention focused on the broad concept of biological diversity as a form of preservation possibly the greatest richness of life on Earth. Ecological conditions prevailing in the different ecosystems affect the modification of the environment and force adaptation of organisms (including microorganisms) into the habitat. To preserve the diversity of the microorganisms, it is important to protect their habitat – the soil. Intolerance to certain environmental conditions and competition between microorganisms causes abnormal functioning of ecosystems and significant depletion of biodiversity. However, the main cause of the microorganisms biodiversity loss is the human pressure on the natural environment. Human activity causes the extinction of many species of plants and animals and has a negative impact on the soil environment. This in turn affects the functioning, abundance and biodiversity of soil microorganisms. In areas with significant natural values such as forests and protected areas (national parks) biodiversity of microorganisms is maintained at a much higher level than in the case of productive soils. The environmental protection leads to the equilibrium in the natural systems and its biotic and abiotic components, including biodiversity. Therefore, the need to create places of special protection such as national parks, nature reserves, landscape parks, etc. is very much justified.

Opis:
Grains of three cultivars of each cereal: winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L. – Tonacja, Bogatka, Satyna), winter rye (Secale cereae L. – Stanko, Dańkowskie Złote, Amilo) and winter barley (Hordeum sativum L. – Laverola, Mertada, Merk) were examined. In addition, phenolic acids were identified in these grains, and the content of the identified acids, i.e. ferulic, vanillic, p-coumaric, protocatechuic, p-hydroxybenzoic, syringic, sinapic and caffeic, was determined. The antioxidant properties of phenolic acids were examined using the free radical scavenging method against a stable 2.2-diphenyl-1-pikrylhydrazyl radical (DPPH). The antiradical efficiency of phenolic acids depended on the duration of a reaction and genotype-specific properties. The data showed that different winter cereal seed extracts were able to quench 15-47% of DPPH radical solution and to exhibit potent radical scavenging activity. Results of the determinations of the content of phenolic acids in grains of the cultivars correlated with the activity of their extracts. The tested cereal grains were characterized by different levels of the identified phenolic acids, depending on the generic and specific characteristics. Differences in the content of phenolic acids may be subject to genetic traits, environmental factors and different analytical procedures. Cereal kernels with a higher phenolic acid content also exhibited a higher antioxidant activity of extracts with these compounds. Kernels of winter barley cv. Metaxa with a higher content of phenolic acids were also characterized by higher antioxidant activity than those of cvs. Merle and Laverola. The lowest content of phenolic acids was observed in winter rye cv. Stanko. 5-day seedlings showed a statistically significant increase in phenolic acids (ferulic, p-coumaric, protocatechuic, p-syringic, sinapic and caffeic) and the high antioxidant activity. Winter cereal seed extracts were able to quench 15-47% of DPPH radical solution and exhibited potent radical scavenging activity.

Opis:
The aim of this work was to examine the effects of A. chroococcum on the prolifera-tion of R. leguminosarum bv. viciae (Rlv) in a solid-carrier inoculant and on symbiotic effectiveness of Rlv with pea plants grown under laboratory and field conditions. In a laboratory experiment it was found that proliferation of both bacterial species, Rlv and A. chroococcum, in the dual-culture inoculants was efficient, and that A. chroococ-cum had no adverse effects on the development of the rhizobia (Rlv) in the solid-carrier inoculant. In a pot experiment the highest number of nodules was detected on roots of pea plants inoculated with the dual-culture inoculant containing Rlv and A. chroococcum, slightly lower numbers on pea roots inoculated with the mono-culture inoculum of Rlv and almost no nodules were found on the roots of pea un-inoculated (control treatment) with the bacteria. In the micro-plot experiment conducted in the years 2011–2012 pre-sowing inoculation of pea seeds with the mono-culture inocu-lant of Rlv or with the mixed inoculant of Rlv and A. chroococcum slightly increased nodule numbers/plant, pod numbers/plant and seed numbers/pod, as compared to the un-inoculated control, but these differences were not reflected in pea seed yields/m2, which were similar in all treatments.

Opis:
Increase of sewage sludge production in Poland requires undertaking specific methods for their utilization and disposal. The reason is that sewage sludge, in addition to being rich in organic matter, and biogenic compounds such as nitrogen and phosphorus, which are beneficial from an agricultural point of view, also contain heavy metals, toxic organic pollutants such as persistent organic pollutants and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, inorganic compounds such as silicates and clay, and pathogenic bacteria and other microbial contaminants. This implies problems with further use of such polluted sludge as fertilizer in agriculture. The aim of this paper is to analyze the possibilities and limitations of natural management of sewage sludge, taking into account their effects on the restoration and conservation of organic matter in the soil and the yielding of plants. In addition, the main methods of treatment of polluted sludge before introducing it into the environment are considered.

Opis:
Mycorrhizal symbiosis is known since the 19th century and has been described as the coexistence of fungus with the roots of vascular plants. Root colonization by endomycorrhizal fungi causes changes in the quantity and quality of exudates produced by roots. The mycorrhiza may also affect plants’ health status, their competitiveness and succession in eco-systems, and the formation of soil aggregates. The presence of a symbiont in the roots of plants causes a direct and indirect effect on rhizosphere microorganisms, fixing free nitrogen and transforming compounds constituting nutrient substrates for plants. The physiological and morphological relations of AMF with the plant promote its vitality and competitiveness by increasing resistance to abiotic and biotic stresses. Effective activation of the plant immune responses may occur, not only locally but also systemically. Mycorrhizal fungi, through the change of the composition and amount of root exudates, have influence on the development and activity of the communities of soil microorganisms. Certain soil bio-controlling microorganisms frequently showing synergism of the protective effect on plants together with AMF. In some cases, however, no positive interaction of selected microorganisms and endomycorrhizal fungi is observed. Double inoculation with the some species of bacteria and the mycorrhizal fungus can cause a decrease in the yielding the plants. Mycoparasitism of AMF spores and hyphae is also encountered in interaction between saprophytic fungi and AMF. This phenomenon is based on the lytic abilities of some fungi species which can lower the level of colonization and the effectiveness of mycorrhizal symbiosis with plants. Good knowledge of plant symbiosis with endomycorrhizal fungi and activity of these fungi in soils is necessary for their use in plant production.
