Władysław Kubik – najwybitniejszy dydaktyk polskiej katechezy okresu powojennego, niekwestionowany autorytet w tej dziedzinie, pionier w odkrywaniu związków pomiędzy katechetyczną posługą słowa i dydaktyką; nestor polskiej katechetyki, wybitny specjalista w zakresie opracowania podręczników do katechezy i nauki religii.
The twentieth anniversary of reintroducing religious education to Polish schools is an excellent opportunity to reminisce, to analyse, to re‑examine and to draw conclusions for the future. In this rich and multifaceted reflection we cannot omit those who in the last decades outlined the directions for the development of Polish religious education. Among many distinguished religious instruction teachers, an important place is occupied by a Jesuit, professor Władysław Kubik. He is the most outstanding educationalist in the field of religious education in the post‑war period, an unquestionable authority in this area, a pioneer in discovering connections between religious education ministry and didactics, the doyen of Polish religious instruction, a remarkable specialist in the field of religious instruction textbooks and of teaching religious education. Despite the advanced age, Professor is still an active person. This year he has published a new version of the textbook for the second grade of primary school. What distinguishes „Close to the Heart of Jesus” is its graphic layout. The book presents paintings, works of art and photos from everyday life and from the liturgy adjusted to the mentality of a student. Lavish illustrations and photos not only make the book more attractive, but they also fulfil information function. Professor’s presence in religious education in Poland is exceptionally creative, and at the same time cheerful, friendly and modest, and it motivates others to fruitful work. Father Professor Władysław Kubik can brilliantly combine theory with practice and in this way point out new solutions for the future. - Źródło:
