- The paper describes the climatic conditions in the territory of the „Baniska” Reserve situated in the moderately cold climatic zone on northern slopes of Mt. Radziejowa in the Beskid Sądecki. The area was classified into to the valuable natural habitats of the ECONET network. The forests that grow there have the function of counteracting soil erosion, regulating surface runoff and water retention, ensuring climate protection and protection against noise. They are to ensure stability and ecological balance, maintain high environmental values and be the genotype bank for a forest holding.
