Opis:
When talking about burnout syndrome, it is important to highlight the fact that burnout syndrome is the result of long-term chronic stress. In this context, it is important to define stress as a phenomenon that inherently belongs to the life of living beings and therefore of man. This process can be understood as a process that is still developing (Kebza, Šolcová, 1998). Canadian physiologist Hans Selye defined stress as a condition manifested in the form of a specific syndrome, which represents the sum of all non-specific changes induced within a given biological system (Selye, 1996). Košč (2003) defined stress as a non-specific response to any demand that is placed on it. It may also be understood as a general adaptation syndrome a phylogenetic development developed by the response of higher organisms to a life-saving, promising preparation for an attack or escape. fight or flight. The stress itself can not be avoided, because this effort would be stressful by itself. If we look at the issue from a physical point of view, the very concept of stress means the pressure that acts on the body and causes its distortion. From a psychological point of view, it means a certain amount of effort, that is, the demands placed on the individual’s physical and mental energy. Goldstein (1993) states that stress can also be seen as a threat and disruption of the body’s homeostasis. W.B.Cannon (1915) defined the alarm theory of emotions as the response of the organism to stress by adrenergic activation with metabolic consequences for energy to fight or flight (Kryl, 2004). In terms of stress alone, it is important to define terms such as stressors and salutaries. All negative living factors leading to stress itself are called stressors. They can be divided into: • external stressors (noise, sensory deprivation, hazard); • Barriers that hinder satisfying primary needs (food, sleep and rest) • Performance-related burdens (timing, extreme demands, or monotonous work) • social stressors (interpersonal and social problems), • Conflicts (Křivohlavý, 2003). In this context, the stressor can also be an activity related to a certain risk, sense of responsibility and competition as well as situations related to the examination, bankruptcy and conflicting situations. Physical or natural factors can be accidents, cold, noise, heat, time-consuming activity, risk-related activity, expectation of threat, inadequate qualification due to tasks, cognitive, emotional or social deprivation, hostility to the social environment, lack of privacy, or too many interactions (Verešová, 2007).

Social work is an occupation, in which, one helps other people for free. The main purpose of this help is to improve the social function of the individual, who because of difficult situation, is unable to improve his/her status on his/her own. Future of the individual depends (partly or completely) on the help offered by the social worker [Praca socjalna, 2002: 14]. The goal of social work is to stop the process of social exclusion (marginalization) by deleting its causes. This way of understanding the term of social work should be distinguished from the term of social help, which helps citizens mainly financially. Sometimes, in practice, it is quite hard to distinguish social work from social help because one of the goals of social help is social, and professional stimulation of people who are socially excluded from the society due to poverty, what in fact, covers with social work.

Opis:
The notion of a method is not identical with the notion of model of social work, although different models assume different methods of work. Many models of social work have been created. One can mention, for example, the psychosocial model (based on the assumption that the cause of the problems of an individual are unconscious, unrealized conflicts and unfulfilled, subconscious needs; the solution of the problems is sought through an analysis of events and experiences from the past), problemic, structural, model of modification of behaviours; group therapy, resocialization model, crisis model etc. Thus, in the functional model, one puts the emphasis on building the relation with the ward, maximal use of the time given and avoiding diagnostic categories as useless in social work. The problem-oriented model bases on the assumption that problems are an inevitable element of life, their solution is sought through analysing present factors, the main emphasis is put on the ward's involvement in the solving of the problem, the task of the social worker is determining the ward's subjective attitude to the problem and motivating him to action. The structural model is based on the assuption that the individual's problems are the effect of a definite social structure and they do not result from personal neglect, and the basis of help is support for the client and his immediate social environment. The model of behaviour modification, based on psychological behaviourism, assumes that through employing knowledge about the mechanisms of learning one can change attitudes and the way the individual reacts49. It is worth mentioning also models which integrate social work with individuals, groups and communities. An example of such a model is the systemic model, in the frames of which one can differentiate several variants, e. g. ecological, life model, competence model). In the systemic model one emphasizes the improvement of relations between the ward and his or her social environment through seeking a system of social support, rejecting the view that the ward's situation can be improved through actions directed exclusively onto him or her or their environment methods.

Opis:
The term „social work” for the first time appeared in the USA in 1917 in the name of an institution running charity activity. The previously used name National Conference of Charities and Corrections was replaced with the name National Conference of Social Work. This change was caused by the professionalisation of social care which at the beginning of 20th C ceased to be a kind of social charity and started to be a profession. Presently it is a systematic activity of an all-society dimension, oriented onto giving help to another human being.

Opis:
The object of social work are both the individuals and social groups (families or more extended communities). Depending on which groups of people require help, social work arouses various requirements which from the point of view of the social workers’ education create the need for specialisation. One can distinguish several specific groups of the clients of social work: children, the old age people (gerontological nursing), ill and disabled individuals and local communities. Special problems and challenges appear when a child is its object. It happens that because in the case of children separating interim help or long-term financial assistance from the pedagogic influence is impossible, and thus from responsibility for charges’ future. Social workers do not bear full responsibility for the state of child’s future, because they share this responsibility with different subjects, it does not mean, however, that they do not bear it at all. One can distinguish two extreme positions among the theoreticians of social work: according to one of them, represented among others by H. Radlińska, social welfare institutions totally take over the responsibility for the child’s future, what is connected with the limitation of freedom, and according to the latter, such a responsibility, in practice, is not possible.

Opis:
The word burn out, comes from English “to burn”, which means burning and the words “out” from, out, out. Thus, the phrase “burn-out” is an expression of burnout or extinction. The original fire and the ignition of the symbol-psychologically high level of motivation goes to the person affected by the symptoms of burnout syndrome into extinction, where there is nothing, which means where he has nothing to worry about. For the Burnout Syndrome, there is as yet no generally accepted definition. Herbert Freudenberger first described this syndrome in 1975. The most important feature is chronic work-related stress and the imbalance between occupational expectation and professional reality, between ideals and reality. The burnout syndrome is the total burnout of human energy (and energy reserves) at the mental, physical and spiritual level in connection with the exercise of the profession. Burnout is formally defined as a state of physical, emotional and mental exhaustion that has caused long-term persistence in situations that are emotionally challenging. This emotional difficulty occurs when great expectations are combined with chronic stress (Křivohlavý, 2012 p.18). The International Classification of Diseases advises burnout syndrome under ICD 10, category Z 73.O entitled Problems associated with difficulties in organizing life that have psychological, physical symptoms and symptoms in the plane of social relations. The severity of the burnout syndrome is currently up to date with both its content and its increase. “Our legislation does not define this disease in any category of legal norms, it does not recognize it as a diagnosis and we do not have one case law or legal argument developing the process or condition caused by the burnout syndrome” (Šoltésová, Ivor, 2006, s.20). In Spain and the United States of America, burnout syndrome is recognized by law as an occupational disease.

The following article analyzes the relationship between social pedagogy, social policy and the system of care and social assistance. The term “system of care and social assistance” should be understood here as widely as possible. It is therefore not only of direct support and assistance in the form of social work, social care homes, etc., but with all the services provided by the state forms of support, ranging from different types of activation in areas of poverty and exclusion, by solving the problems of addiction, to the organization of assistance to the sick or old. Therefore it is not only to reduce this system to social assistance. Thus understood, the welfare system is an area of practical activity, intended to produce specific social change.

social dysfunction
Opis:
The concept of social dysfunction refers to a broad spectrum of issues, so in order to explain what is the dysfunction, you should also specify the importance of several other concepts. These include such concepts as "social norm", "need" the "problem", "conflict", "crisis" and "pathology". Let's start with a discussion of the latter notion, since it can be a source of confusion. In the literature, the term "social dysfunction" ("dysfunctionality") and the term "pathology" are in a similar sense, means conduct contrary to current social norms. The term "pathology" appeared for the first time in American literature, where it was defined as "behavior or attitudes inconsistent with generally accepted principles of conduct in a given society and behavior affecting the requirements and prohibitions contained in the provisions of criminal and civil laws." According to this definition, the action is pathological if it violates a social norm or a rule of law. Of the "classic" of the Polish definition should include the definition of A. Podgóreckiego, who pointed out the inconsistency of behavior known as "pathology" of the established in the society "worldoutlook of values." In turn, A. Lipka pathological behaviors in addition to noncompliance with social norms (which will be discussed later) for the distinctive feature of the pathological behavior deemed rejection "values objectively in accordance with the interests of the individual and the general public." This raises the question here, of course, the instances have the authority to decide what in a particular case is, and what is not consistent with the "objective" interests of the individual and the community. In Poland, the notion of pathology is currently used not only in the work in the field of pedagogy and social work theory, but also medicine, criminology, law, sociology, psychology and many other fields. It is also often used in public debate, but in everyday language is characterized by strong negative connotations. In theory and practice of social work outside the ambiguity and negative emotional coloring, the biggest shortcoming of this concept seems to be his very narrow range of meaning. Speaking of pathology, we mean the social status of a "disease" and thus a condition which must be the "treatment" so as not to endanger the rest of society. Meanwhile, in social work, these "pathological" cases constitute only one of many types of problems, not always the most important type in terms of "health" of society as a whole. The tasks of social workers are, after all activities such as making the decision to grant material benefits, care for people with disabilities and helping people in crisis, unemployed, and so the problems are not in ordinary language, nor in the literature is not defined as pathology society.

Opis:
In this paper we will present some predictions and proposals on the development of social pedagogy in the near future. Social pedagogy is a discipline both theoretical and practical, so if we reflect on the future, these two aspects of it should be discussed separately. Of course, the development of theory in disciplines such as social pedagogy makes sense only under the condition that these theories can be realized in practice, it must be remembered that the possibility of impact theory into practice (social policy and social work) depends on a number of factors that pedagogy social has no effect. In the context of the discussion about the future of social pedagogy distinction between theory and practical needs and possibilities of its realization it seems reasonable, since it is possible, in which intensive development of the theory is not accompanied by equally intense activity in the field of practice. On the other hand, the distinction between social pedagogy in Poland and the world seems to be justified because of the significant differences in both the real possibilities of practical implementation of the theoretical solutions, as well as the scale and the nature of the social problems in Poland and in the more economically developed from Polish. For example, while the most important problem that in the near future will have to face the countries of Western Europe, seems to be the problem of immigration, in Poland the most important issue is undoubtedly an aging population. So we can risk saying that in the near future of social pedagogy in Poland (and in other post-communist countries) and in the countries of the so-called. the old European Union will develop largely independently.
