    Nowadays, the Internet has become one of the fundamental elements of functioning in society, also for pupils and students. Using the Internet requires specific skills related to obtaining and processing information. These are known as information literacy. They imply not only the ability to find the necessary information, but also to select reliable information that will meet the information needs of an individual. The article presents the results of research aimed at analyzing the process of using network information resources in the opinion of students. The results of the research made it possible to initially recognize and assess selected aspects of information competences in the studied group. Despite the perceived benefits and not imagining functioning without the Internet, the students showed a quite critical attitude in assessing the reliability of information obtained from the Internet.

    The article assesses the quality of the educational process carried out in the dimension of the use of new media. The author argues that the modern school still uses too many analog methods, offering education not adapted to the expectations of students who are part of the digital native generation. Theoretical analysis is supplemented by the results of studies from national and international reports on the level of teachers’ media competence. The text proposes solutions that reinforce the idea of digital teaching and some of the benefits resulting from its implementation.

    The present article shows the transformations of the modern civiliza-tion that are associated with the development of modern digital technologies. It is hypothesized that the observed transformations have a tremendous impact on the lives and functioning of young people - the digital natives. The author makes their characteristics pointing to the problem of immersion in the virtual world. The aim of this article is to attempt to justify the thesis that the use of modern digital technologies by young people can increase the chance of their intellectual development by stimulating their cognitive activity and thus con-stitute an important educational tool. The condition for achieving this state is the skillful organization and arrangement of a school learning environment with the digital media.
    Artykuł ukazuje przeobrażenia współczesnej cywilizacji związa-ne z rozwojem nowoczesnych technologii cyfrowych. Postawiono tezę, że ob-serwowane przeobrażenia współczesności wywierają ogromny wpływ na życie i funkcjonowanie młodych ludzi – cyfrowych mieszkańców technopłynnej rze-czywistości. Autorka dokonuje ich charakterystyki, wskazując na problematykę immersyjności w świat wirtualny. Celem artykułu jest próba uzasadnienia tezy, że użytkowanie przez młodych nowoczesnych technologii informacyjno-komu-nikacyjnych może skutkować zwiększeniem szansy ich rozwoju intelektualnego, stymulując ich aktywność poznawczą i stanowiąc tym samym istotne narzędzie edukacyjne. Warunkiem osiągnięcia tego stanu jest umiejętna organizacja i aran-żacja szkolnego środowiska uczenia z wykorzystaniem mediów cyfrowych.

    The issue of the text focuses on the description of changes in the way of experiencing time by people involved in digital technologies. The article discusses the causes and consequences of new forms of human location in contemporary space-time, which is shaped and modified by modern technologies. The author puts forward the thesis that the attachment of a contemporary individual to virtual space can be treated as a kind of enslavement, considered in the dimension of time. Young people, whose childhood and adolescence were shaped under the influence of dynamically developing digital technologies, were chosen as the subject of the analysis. The issue of time is analyzed in the background of the current culture, which is called “the culture of the present”. The new quality of time can be assessed as captivating due to the speed imposed on man by the rapid progress of new technologies. The text also presents ways of rational time management in the digital world (in the ecology of time trend). This trend draws attention to the threats and dimensions of the enslavement of modern man resulting from excessive haste. It promotes the need to limit the dominance of social time and respect natural time.
    Problematyka tekstu koncentruje się na opisie zmian sposobu doświadczania czasu przez człowieka zaangażowanego w technologie cyfrowe. W artykule omawiane są przyczyny i konsekwencje nowych form usytuowania człowieka we współczesnej czasoprzestrzeni, którą kształtują i modyfikują nowoczesne technologie. Autorka stawia tezę, że przywiązanie współczesnej jednostki do przestrzeni wirtualnej można traktować jako swego rodzaju zniewolenie, rozpatrywane w wymiarze czasu. Podmiotem analizy uwikłania uczyniono ludzi młodych – których dzieciństwo i dorastanie kształtowało się pod wpływem dynamicznie rozwijających się technologii cyfrowych. Problematyka czasu jest analizowana na tle złożoności obecnej kultury, którą w tym kontekście nazywa się „kulturą teraźniejszości”. Nowa jakość czasu może być oceniana jako zniewalająca z powodu prędkości narzucanej człowiekowi przez szybki postęp nowych technologii. Tekst przedstawia także sposoby racjonalnego gospodarowania czasem w digitalnym świecie (w nurcie ekologii czasu). Nurt ten zwraca uwagę na zagrożenia i wymiary zniewolenia współczesnego człowieka wynikające z nadmiernego pośpiechu. Promowana jest idea radykalnej potrzeby ograniczenia dominacji czasu społecznego i poszanowania czasu naturalnego.

    Tekst jest komunikatem z badań przeprowadzonych wśród studentów pierwszego roku pedagogiki - absolwentów kształcenia średniego, należących do pokolenia sieci i aktywnie zanurzonych w mobilnej kulturze cyfrowej. Celem artykułu jest analiza procesu partycypacji technologii cyfrowych w procesie kształcenia. Autor stawia tezę, że technologie cyfrowe można traktować jako zasoby kulturowe, zatem kształtowanie umiejętności ich twórczego wykorzystania jest podstawą nowoczesnej edukacji. Opinie badanych studentów służą odpowiedzi na pytanie zawarte w temacie tekstu, czy i w jakim stopniu kultura szkoły towarzyszy i wzmacnia kulturę mobilną, przygotowując do świadomego i odpowiedzialnego funkcjonowania uczniów w świecie cyfrowym. Badania prowadzą do wniosku, iż młodzi dorośli jako użytkownicy mobilnych mediów w zdecydowanej większości wyrażają swoje rozczarowanie jakością edukacji medialnej w placówkach, których są absolwentami.
    The article is the research report of study conducted among first-year students of pedagogy - graduates of secondary education, belonging to the network generation and actively immersed in the digital mobile culture. The aim of the article is to analyze the process of participation of digital technologies in the education process. The author formulates the thesis that digital technologies can be treated as cultural resources, therefore shaping the skills of their creative use is the basis of modern education. Opinions of the surveyed students serve to answer the question contained in the topic of the text, whether and to what extent the school culture accompanies and strengthens the mobile culture, preparing for conscious and responsible functioning of students in the digital world. Research leads to the conclusion that young adults as the users of mobile media express their disappointment in the quality of media education in the institutions they are graduates in the vast majority.

    Celem artykułu jest opis przemian współczesnej teorii kształcenia rozpatrywanych na tle przeobrażeń związanych z dynamicznym rozwojem technologii cyfrowej. Edukacja w ujęciu tradycyjnym staje się mało skuteczna w obliczu ciągłych i szybkich zmian otaczającej rzeczywistości. Dostrzega się sprzeczność pomiędzy atrakcyjnością aktywności ucznia w przestrzeni mobilnej, jego oczekiwaniami kierowanymi pod adresem szkoły a transmisyjnym sposobem realizacji treści kształcenia. Autorka udowadnia tezę, że potrzebne jest twórcze podejście do zmiany myślenia na temat metod edukacyjnego praktykowania i nowych form budowania wspólnoty uczących się, uwzględniając wartości tkwiące w kulturze szkoły i nowoczesne akcenty medialnej przestrzeni.
    The aim of this article is to describe the transformations of contemporary learning theory in the context of transformations related to the dynamic development of digital technology. Education in the traditional sense becomes less effective in the face of constant and rapid changes in the surrounding reality. There is a contradiction between the attractiveness of the student’s activity in the mobile space, his expectations directed at the school and the transmission of the content of the training. The author demonstrates the need for a creative approach to changing thinking about the methods of educational practice and new forms of building a learning community, taking into account the values inherent in the school culture and the modern media accents of space.

    The aim of the article is to analyze the process of education carried out in the conditions of online teaching. The author pays special attention to organizing the learning community. Learning is understood as the process of creating knowledge, where interaction and cooperation of students play an important role. The narrative is an extension of the thesis that in the case of distance learning there is a need to build a community of learners, where equally high importance is given to both cognitive and emotional effects. An important role of the teacher is to care for the mutual relations of students in virtual educational networks. The learning process carried out in a properly organized virtual network of students’ cooperation leads from mutual communication to understanding the content and creating knowledge, and learning becomes a very active mental process. The article discusses selected concepts of learning based on the cooperation of learners, the characteristics of which are translated into the model of collaborative learning in a virtual space, using the tools of modern digital technologies. The article indicates the importance of social relations in students’ virtual communities and the advantages of students’ educational activities in the digital space.
    Celem artykułu jest analiza procesu kształcenia, realizowanego w warunkach edukacji zdalnej, ze zwróceniem szczególnej uwagi na organizowanie społeczności uczących się. Uczenie się jest rozumiane jako proces tworzenia wiedzy, w którym istotną rolę odgrywa współdziałanie i współpraca uczniów. Narracja jest rozwinięciem tezy, iż w sytuacji kształcenia zdalnego istnieje konieczność budowania wspólnoty uczących się, gdzie równie wysoką rangę przyznaje się tak efektom poznawczym, jak i emocjonalnym wraz z budowaniem wzajemnych relacji w wirtualnych sieciach edukacyjnych. Proces kształcenia realizowany w odpowiednio zorganizowanej wirtualnej sieci współpracy uczniów prowadzi od wzajemnego porozumiewania się do rozumienia treści i tworzenia wiedzy, a uczenie się staje się bardzo aktywnym procesem umysłowym. W artykule omówione zostają wybrane koncepcje uczenia oparte na współdziałaniu uczących się, których charakterystyki znajdują przełożenie w modelu uczenia się we współpracy w przestrzeni wirtualnej, przy wykorzystaniu narzędzi współczesnych technologii cyfrowych. Artykuł wskazuje znaczenie relacji społecznych w wirtualnych społecznościach uczniów oraz walory aktywności edukacyjnych uczniów w przestrzeni cyfrowej.
