    Opis:
    The article presents the origins and the development of the organization of the Maritime Specialists School of the Border Defense Forces in Gdańsk-Nowy Port, functioning at 35 Oliwska Street in the years 1950–1967. A description is given of the school’s role in the preparation of maritime specialists – non-commissioned officers and sailors, as well as vessel staff for other institutions. Matters discussed include the origin of the school, its organizational development, its organization and teaching process, the subjects taught, the educational facilities, the living conditions of the sailors, and the teachers working at the school.

    The article presents the creation and organisational development of Border Protection Troops used in the protection of the Polish sea border in the years 1945–1991. Discussed, among others things, is the organisational development of the naval service and its formation, the distribution and characteristics of vessels in commission, as well as their use in the border service and plans for further expansion.

    W artykule przedstawiono organizację procesu szkolenia, jego kontroli i wykorzystanie psów służbowych w ochronie polskich granic przez Wojska Ochrony Pogranicza w latach 1945–1991. W opracowaniu omówiono m.in. takie problemy, jak: organizacja ośrodków zajmujących się szkoleniem przewodników i psów służbowych, przebieg procesu szkolenia w ośrodkach, warunki, jakim powinni odpowiadać przewodnicy i psy przeznaczone do służby, oraz efekty uzyskiwane w służbie granicznej.
    This article describes the organization of the training courses for service dogs, their verification procedures and the use of the dogs in the protection of Polish borders performed by the Border Protection Troops in the years 1945–1991. The article discusses such problems as, inter alia, the organization of the training centers for guide and service dogs, the requirements that both the dog handlers and the animals themselves had to meet and the results of the dogs’ performance during their service time.

    W artykule przedstawiono powstanie i rozwój organizacyjny Szkoły Chorążych Wojsk Ochrony Pogranicza w Kętrzynie w latach 1969–1991 oraz jej znaczenie w przygotowaniu kadry dla tej formacji. Omówiono m.in. takie zagadnienia, jak: rozwój organizacyjny tej placówki, organizację i przebieg procesu nauczania kadetów, nauczane przedmioty oraz osiągane wyniki w nauce.
    The Warrant Officers School of Border Troops in Kętrzyn was one of the three institutions to prepare professional staff for this formation, but the only one that prepared staff for various roles such as specialist or managerial positions. The article presents the origin and organizational development of the Warrant Officers School of Border Troops in Kętrzyn. At this school, in the years 1970-1991, a few thousand professional soldiers for the protection of the Polish People's Republic state border were trained. The role of this institution was to train Warrant Officers. The organization's development of this institution, the process of teaching cadets, subjects taught and the results achieved in science will be discussed. The groups of candidates who wanted to join this school have been profiled.

    The eastern border protection subsystem of the People’s Republic of Poland (with the USSR) was one of the four subsystems protecting the Polish state border, which in the years from the end of World War II until the dissolution of the Border Protection Forces (WOP-15 May 1991) secured the protection of this section. The first part of the article discusses such issues as: tasks performed by WOP, organisation and changes in the system of border protection of the People’s Republic of Poland in the years 1945–1991, forces and means of WOP participating in the protection of the border of the People’s Republic of Poland until the mid-1980s and the division of the borderland, as well as crimes committed on the borderland and the border between the People’s Republic of Poland and the USSR.
    Podsystem ochrony granicy wschodniej PRL (z ZSRR) był jednym z czterech podsystemów ochrony polskiej granicy państwowej, który w latach od zakończenia II wojny światowej do rozwiązania Wojsk Ochrony Pogranicza (WOP–15 maja 1991 r.) zabezpieczał ochronę tego odcinka. W części pierwszej artykułu omówiono takie zagadnienia jak: zadania realizowane przez WOP, organizacje i zmiany w systemie ochrony granicy PRL w latach 1945–1991, siły i środki WOP uczestniczące w ochronie granicy PRL do połowy lat 80. XX w. oraz podział pogranicza a także przestępstwa popełniane na pograniczu i granicy PRL–ZSRR.

    W artykule zaprezentowano powstanie i rozwój organizacyjny Szkoły Podoficerów Sanitarnych Wojsk Wewnętrznych w Szczecinie, funkcjonującej przy 12. Pomorskiej Brygadzie Wojsk Ochrony Pogranicza w latach 1958–1966. Scharakteryzowano jej rolę w przygotowaniu specjalistów podoficerów i sanitariuszy dla Wojsk Ochrony Pogranicza (WOP) i Korpusu Bezpieczeństwa Wewnętrznego (KBW). Omówiono m.in. takie zagadnienia, jak: rozwój organizacyjny tej placówki, organizacja i przebieg procesu nauczania elewów, wykładane przedmioty oraz obsada personalna.
    The Medical Non-Commissioned Officers School of the Interior Forces was the only school that prepared non-commissioned officers and paramedics to serve with the Interior Forces of the People’s Republic of Poland. It was a part of the structure of the 12th Pomeranian Border Defense Forces Brigade in the years 1958–1966. The article discusses the creation and the organizational development of the school and describes its role in the education of non-commissioned officers and paramedics for service with the Border Defense Forces and the Interior Security Corps (ISC). The authors discuss such matters as the origin and organizational development of the school, the organization and implementation of the teaching process, the subjects taught, and the staff working at the school.
