- Opis:
- Ancient peoples were convinced that honey had therapeutic properties. It was used to treat people and animals. In veterinary practice, honey-based medicines were used mainly for ailing horses. Most frequently, it was used to treat diseases of the respiratory and digestive systems, eye diseases, skin infections and all types of wounds and swellings. Contemporary research has confirmed the therapeutic properties of honey, and many treatments applied in ancient times were characterized by a significant efficiency. Only the dosage of medicines could be a problem, since the amount of specific components in natural substances is variable.
