Regional development - Opis:
- A number of managerial difficulties arising from the geographical location of Poland's eastern provinces, amongst which are their trans-border and peripheral location as regards major economic centers as well as the abundance of valuable natural resources that restrict forms of economic activity, have exacerbated the threat of economic marginalization particularly in the rural areas of regions characterized by low rates of economic development. This raises the need to implement development strategies aimed at overhauling of both local and regional economic infrastructures to enable the realization of regional coherence policies both at national and EU levels. A key external factor for powering development processes in recent years has been the possibility to source EU funds to co-finance infrastructural investments aimed at ensuring both suitable living conditions as well as economic involvement.
