Opis:
About ten substituted cyanopyridine compounds have been synthesized and the purities of these pyridines were examined with their physical constants, analytical and spectroscopic data provided in the literature. They are characteristic infrared stretches and NMR chemical shifts were assigned and they are correlated with Hammett substituent constants using single and multi-linear regression analysis. From the results, the effect of substituents on the spectral data of cyanopyridine has been discussed.

About ten substituted (E)-1-Benzylidene-2-(diphenylmethylene) hydrazine compounds have been synthesized. They are characterized by their analytical, ultraviolet, infrared and NMR spectral data. From infrared spectra, the CN and N+N vibrational frequencies (cm-1) of the hydrazines have been assigned. From NMR spectra, the chemical shifts (, ppm) of CH proton and C(C6H5)2 carbons of the hydrazines have been assigned. These data are correlated with Hammett substituent constants, F and R parameters using single and multi-linear regression analysis. From the results of statistical analysis, the effect of substituents on the spectral data have been discussed.

About nine substituted (E)-1-(4-methoxyphenyl)-3-phenylprop-2-en-1-ones have been synthesized by solvent-free method. These enones were analyzed by spectral techniques. The characteristic spectral frequencies were correlated through Hammett equation with Hammett substituent constants, F and R parameters using single and multi-regression analysis method. From the statistical analysis results, the quantitative structure activity relationships have been discussed by means of effects of substituents on the spectral frequencies.

About nine (E)-(2,5-dinitrophenyl)-2-(substituted benzylidene)hydrazines have been synthesized by hydroxy apatite catalyzed condensation of 2,4-dinitrophenyl hydrazine and substituted benzaldehydes under microwave irradiation conditions. The obtained yields of these hydrazines are more than 85%. The purities of synthesized hydrazines are examined by the analytical and spectroscopic data reported earlier. The infrared spectral C=N, NH frequencies (v, cm-1) and the NMR spectral chemical shifts of CH, NH protons and carbons are assigned and are correlated with Hammett substituent constants, F and R parameter using single and multi-regression analysis. From the results of statistical analysis the effects of substituent on the group frequencies have been discussed. The antioxidant activities of these synthesized hydrazines were measured using DPPH radical scavenging method. The hydroxy- and methoxy- substituted hydrazines shows significant antioxidant activity.

A series of 2-Amino-4-isopropyl-6-methoxy-N-phenylpyrimidine-5-carboxamide compounds have been synthesized from various substituted dithioacetal and guanidine. The purities of these compounds were checked by their physical constants, UV, IR, NMR and MASS spectral data. The IR and 1HNMR spectral data of these compounds have been correlated with Hammett sigma constants, F and R parameters using single and multi-linear regression analysis. From the results of statistical analysis, the effects of substituents on the spectral group frequencies have been discussed.

Series of eleven substituted of (E)-3-(3-methylthiophen-2-yl)-1-phenylprop-2-en-1-ones compounds by cross-aldol condensation reaction of 3-methylthiophene-2-carbaldehyde with various substituted acetaldehyde in the occurrence of Fly-Ash: H3PO4 catalyst. The effect of catalytic activity of this fly-ash:H3PO4 nanocatalyst was studied with the obtained yield of products under solvent-free conditions. The synthesized substituted (E)-3-(3-methylthiophen-2-yl)-1-phenylprop-2-en-1-one compounds was characterized by physical constants, UV, FT-IR, 1H & 13C-NMR spectral data.
