PRINCIPLES OF A TEXTBOOK DESIGNING
REQUIREMENTS - Opis:
- The paper aims at determining the conceptual content of foreign language textbooks designing. The basic aim of the article is to show the possibility of teaching students the basic foreign language levels and preparing them to study the language at higher levels. The principles of a textbook designing are viewed. Types of programs providing the purposes and style of language learning in the textbook are considered. The lesson structure effect on the textbook thematic organization and contents is discussed. The paper also touches upon the requirements to a foreign language textbook. A Breakthrough- and Waystage-level foreign language textbook is analyzed as an example.
