Opis:
After death provisional state of man means the manner of existence of a man from his death till resurrection. Generally speaking this is a theological problem but closely connected with anthropological issues. Therefore according to accepted anthropological vision are shaped also opinions of advocates and opponents of conception of resurrection at the moment of human death. The main problem is: what is happening with the soul after human bodys death and before its resurrection? Some philosophers say that the whole of the person dies. Others are convinced that the soul doesnt become separate from her body at the moment of death. But they also say about continual resurrection. In the evolutionary conception of human death is said that the moment of death is simultaneously the moment of resurrection. T. Wojciechowski explains this by transforming structure of human essence onto the highest level of excellence.

Death always concerns a specific individual who lives in specific time and place defining his earthly existence. A temporal nature of death transforms into spatial issue. The natural desire to prolong life becomes an effort that aims at extending life’s economical capacity. People, aware of their mortality, give time its measure by filling each moment with action and making it valuable. Thus, different roads to immortality can be assigned certain attitudes towards life. Their symbolic representatives are: pilgrim, nomad and monk. Adopting a particular life strategy that would fulfill its aim - immortality, largely depends on the individual perception of the concept of immortality. It may seem to be identical for all. In practice, however, there are many different ways of understanding and realizing this concept, and each of them outlines a different means-method of achieving its aim. And so, one can speak of “classical” immortality, which means a transition into a new existence, beyond time and matter, and of “postmodern” immortality, which is reduced to the Heraclitus’ ongoing process of change within the limits of the existing universe. Thus, in this case different roads do not lead to the same objective. Consequently, it is impossible to judge them and choose one, basing solely on the “landscape” and “way of traveling”. Decisive here is the nature of a destination point, the awareness of the long-awaited state. The only element that seems common for all potential life strategies adopted to reach immortality is the experience of death as something irreversible.

In the modern mass culture literature, especially the one which requires serious consideration on the part of the reader, is getting more and more supplanted by an image and sound. Nowadays an average person is more inclined to spend many hours in front of a computer or TV screen rather than read a book. Yet, it seems that despite those civilization changes, the motives behind human activity remain unchanged: to find oneself in an artificially created world that has the features absent in the real world or those that are insufficiently available to us. A virtual world is an equivalent of an imaginary world of literature. However, while the reality created on the computer screen does not demand a considerable effort from its user to function in it, a written text, appealing to the world of a human thought, requires a creative involvement of the reader. The involvement of the reader is even greater in the case of a biblical text, which despite being a form of literature, exceeds the level of human imagination and creativity. A biblical text, due to its supernatural origins, brings us to a specific openness towards the reality, which in an infinite manner predominates not only over our everyday life but also over the most fantastic virtual worlds. Thus it is impossible to equate the Bible with any other literary work. Nevertheless, human language can contribute to creating images and stories which by referring to the biblical message will bring it closer to the mentality of the modern reader and will help him to discover the fascinating beauty of God’s word. It seems that having analysed the contents and the message of The Little Prince, one may assign such a function to this book. From this perspective, the work of the French writer is a peculiar preparatio Evangelii to all those who yearn for experiencing the Absolute in a more and more doubting society.
