    Poruszono problemy związane z problematyką wypadków przy pracy rolniczej. Zwrócono uwagę na zagrożenia, które mogą się pojawić podczas wykonywania czynności związanych z prowadzoną działalnością rolniczą. Przedstawiono najczęstsze przyczyny i skutki zdarzeń wypadkowych w rolnictwie. Opracowanie stanowi także analizę porównawczą zjawiska wypadkowości przy pracy z wybranymi krajami zachodniej Europy.
    This paper concerns the existing problems in scope of accidents at work in agriculture. The main reasons and results of accidents at work in this sector have been presented. The range of its definitions has been changed. Authors have stressed main hazards which may occur during the farming. In comparison to selected west European countries, must be stated that not only in Poland the agriculture caused the most number of accidents. Coming to conclusion - there's a downward trend in Poland in the accident occurance in agriculture, unfortunately, the technological development may get stronger.

    W artykule wskazano obszary działalności człowieka zagrożone upadkiem z wysokości. Na podstawie danych statystycznych scharakteryzowano przyczyny tych wypadków. Dodatkowo omówiono przyczyny upadków z wysokości, które miały miejsce w gospodarstwach indywidualnych w Polsce. Zwrócono również uwagę na obowiązki pracodawcy wynikające z faktu, że prace na wysokości należą do prac szczególnie niebezpiecznych.
    The paper discusses areas of human activities where there are hazards of falls from a height. On the basis of statistical data, causes of those accidents are presented. Additionally causes of falls from a height on family farms in Poland are discussed. Employers’ duties – related to the fact that work on a height is especially dangerous – are also highlighted.

    Despite the fact that high pressure fluid injection injuries to the body do not occur very often, it is important to develop awareness in the staff of dangers concerned with the spout from hydraulic hoses. It is because of the fact that most of the injured people underestimate small and punctiform skin lesions, that are characteristic of the high pressure injection injuries. But the real damages are under the skin. Fluid under high pressure can damage tissues, tendons and blood vessels. Every body injuries due to the high pressure injection of the fluid pose a threat to the life and health of the injured person. Thus high pressure injection injuries should be immediately treated surgically.

    W niniejszym opracowaniu przedstawiono znaczenie kształtowania kultury bezpieczeństwa w przedsiębiorstwie w aspekcie przyczyn wypadków przy pracy oraz oceny ryzyka zawodowego. Zwrócono uwagę przede wszystkim na różne poziomy kultury bezpieczeństwa, a więc analizę tej problematyki na płaszczyźnie społeczeństwa, przedsiębiorstwa oraz jednostki, jak również wskazano na związek pomiędzy kulturą bezpieczeństwa a ilością oraz przyczynami wypadków przy pracy w Polsce. Wyszczególniono ponadto czynniki, które kształtują kulturę bezpieczeństwa w przedsiębiorstwie, zarówno na poziomie zarządzania, jak również samych pracowników.
    This study presents the importance of shaping of the safety culture in the company in the aspect of causes of accidents at work and occupational risk assessment. Special attention was paid to the different levels of safety culture, ie the analysis of this issue at the level of society, company and individuals, as well as the relationship between the safety culture and the number and causes of accidents at work in Poland. The factors that shape the safety culture in the enterprise, both at the management level as well as the employees themselves, are also specified.

    Opis:
    The article presents the assessment of occupational safety in Polish forestry in the period of 2009−2016. The basic criteria for analysis of accident rate were based on the form of the statistical card of accident at work. The research analysed the data about accidents at work published by the Central Statistical Office in Poland. The aim of the research was: (i) to determine the variability of the number of people injured in total accidents, in serious accidents, and in fatal accidents, number of people employed, and number of days of incapacity to work caused by accidents; (ii) to check the relationships between the cause of the accident and the year of its occurrence, between the age of the injured and the number of accidents, between the work seniority of the injured and the number of accidents, and finally (iii) to determine the value and volatility of total accident rate per 1,000 employees, the rate of serious accidents per 100,000 employed, the rate of fatalities per 100,000 employed, accident severity rate per 1 injured as well as accident risk indicator per 1 employee. The most important cause of accidents at work in forestry was incorrect employee behavior (57.9%). The dominant events causing injury in forestry were impact by the object in motion and collision with/impact on a stationary object (26.7 and 22.6%, respectively). The most common accidents at work in forestry concern employees with work seniority in the field of over 16 years and less than a year (30.6 and 23.23%, respectively), people aged 30−39 and 40−49 (24.55 and 24.52%, respectively). The value of total accident rate in forestry shows a decreasing trend in 2011−2016 (–20.5%). The rate of serious and fatal accidents alternately increases and decreases. Similarly to the value of the severity of accidents, no trends were found. For the accident risk indicator a declining trend was observed in 2012−2016 (–19.3%).

    Opis:
    Purpose: The article presents an analysis of accidents in the selected enterprise from the automotive industry. The analysis includes two workplaces: machine operator and warehouseman. Design/methodology/approach: The analysis of accidents at work in a selected production company includes the period from the beginning of 2016 to half of the 2018 year using the method based on the TOH model. This method determines three factors of accident causes: technical, organizational and human (TOH). Findings: In the paper, the workplaces analysis taking into account activities, type of work, working position and accidents at work is presented. The analysis of work accidents includes the age group, work experience etc. The TOH model determines causes related to accidental events. Research limitations/implications: The accidents at work are the result of a low or undesirable safety culture. Because of that, the safety culture should be constantly developed, maintained and continuously improved. Originality/value: Many methods and procedures can be used to investigate accidents at work. The TOH model is one of them. It determines the direct and indirect causes of accidents. Based on them, the corrective actions can be proposed and implemented.
