    Opis:
    The article is devoted to important issue of modern regional analysis of Ukraine, i.e. peculiarities of regional development formation. All provincial regions of Ukraine were chosen for this analysis. The aim of the study was to determine trends of regional indicators during the period 2012–2015. The social component of sustainability reflects the quality of life and it is focused on preserving the stability of the social and cultural systems, in particular on reducing the number of destructive conflicts between people. The basis of our study was the method of the Human Development Index rating in 2015, conducted by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine and the Institute of Demography and Social Studies named after M.V. Pukhta, but with a reduction of performance indicators to four groups (comfortable life, prosperity, decent work, education). The results of our grouping allow for developing a number of measures to respond to current trends and adjust them depending on the situation. Areas with consistently high rates of human development dimension should extend its positive experience to other regional areas of Ukraine. A significant list of areas with average dimension of human development confirms the generally known trend that these areas do not conduct systematic improvement policy and optimal use of all components that can affect the standard of living. The list of regions, which are lagging behind includes regions that theoretically exhibit a powerful economic development which is however not reflected on the general welfare of the people in these regions.

    Opis:
    The scientific views on the objectives of modern human development have been presented. Human development of Ukraine and world countries has been discussed. The dynamics of the Human Development Index and the interdependence of its components based on the example of Ukrainian regions and world countries has been analyzed. The dependence of the Human Development Index mainly on its social component has been revealed by modeling. The necessity to change the priorities of human development in Ukraine at the stage of transformation into an innovative economy in favor of intensive social development and improving the quality of human capital has been proved.
    W pracy zaprezentowano poglądy naukowe na temat celów współczesnego rozwoju człowieka. Na ich podstawie przeanalizowano rozwój Ukrainy na tle wybranych krajów. Szczegółowej analizie poddano wartość wskaźnika HDI i  współzależności jej elementów w  poszczególnych regionach Ukrainy oraz wybranych krajach. Zależność Human Development Index, głównie od jego składnika społecznego, została udowodniona w  zastosowanym modelu. Badania wykazały potrzebę zmiany priorytetów rozwoju na Ukrainie w  okresie transformacji do gospodarki innowacyjnej na rzecz intensywnego rozwoju społecznego i  poprawy jakości kapitału ludzkiego.

    Opis:
    Creative grooming is a new aspect in the whole spectrum of human-dog relations. Creative grooming describes a process of transforming a dog into a piece of art. By colorizing and sculpturing the animal coat, the groomer shapes dog into completely new form of appearance. This phenomenon is new in Europe and originates from China. In both locations it attracts mainly females. Implementing creative grooming, sets number of serious ethical questions: about animal welfare, animal autonomy and subjectivity, about type of human-non-human relations that are promoted in this form of activity performed on the dog. It is also worth to notice, that this practice doesn’t seem to correspond with Polish legislation system, concerning animal welfare. There are also aspects of this phenomena, worth further scientific investigation: motivations of owners, who pay for such creative grooming for their dogs and motivations of creative groomers, taking part in competitions and exhibitions of grooming works.
