    Opis:
    The article analyzes the context of the values that have been embedded in the learning process of both students and teachers in their professional development. The author presents the coherence of pillars based on solid theoretical foundations (J. Dewey), which made it possible to adapt the education system, and consequently schools, to learning based on values. In this scientific perspective, the article pays attention to values, which could be perceived as pillars of learning in basic education in Finland. In addition, the article concentrates on the phenomena of equality and trust, conception of learning and collaboration among teachers in Finnish basic education.
    Wartości i ich wpływ na uczenie się w edukacji podstawowej w Finlandii – wybrane aspekty Artykuł analizuje kontekst wartości, które zostały wpisane w proces uczenia się zarówno uczniów, jak i nauczycieli w ich rozwoju zawodowym. Autorka przedstawia spójność filarów opartą na solidnych podstawach teoretycznych (J. Dewey), co pozwoliło dostosować system edukacji, a co za tym idzie – także szkoły do uczenia się opartego na wartościach. W tej naukowej perspektywie artykuł zwraca uwagę na wartości, które w Finlandii mogą być postrzegane jako filary uczenia się w ramach edukacji podstawowej. Ponadto artykuł koncentruje się na zjawiskach równości i zaufania, koncepcji uczenia się i współpracy między nauczycielami w fińskiej edukacji podstawowej.

    There are only a few opinions so generally approved as belief in education usefulness. The general faith in an eructated man has the advantage over poor educated one originates in long experience of human being. It is believed that an educated person understands better both itself and the world He is more homo rationalis then poor educated person. In our opinion an education system is better when is more efficient in development of the knowledge understood as learning the truth about of the world and enhancement of intellectual potential of the society. Its leads to consider the efficiency as the second unique value of the system and gaining it as a very important task. But whether mentioned above values and tasks are exclusive in the education system? And what adjustments have to be done to reach them in the contemporary world?

    Opis:
    Aim. The aim of the article is to understand how Chinese parents draw on their learning beliefs and experiences within the Chinese educational context to make decisions about their children’s overseas education, as well as analysing how their learning beliefs are similar or different from East Asian or Western learning beliefs. Methods. The study is based on more than 100 in-depth separate interviews with 22 Chinese families conducted over serval years between 2016 and 2019. Based on interpretative phenomenological analysis and discourse analysis, the results are coded according to the theory of values proposed by Clyde Kluckhohn (1951). These learning values are further coded according to whether they are reflective of the American learning model (EALM), Confucian learning model (CLM), and Confucian learning philosophies. Results. The analysis shows that Chinese parents have displayed similar learning beliefs in socialising their children in the family domain, in their disapproval of the Chinese education system, and in their pursuit of a Western overseas education. The Chinese families’ pursuit of a Western education for their children are driven by their cultural leaning beliefs, which are rooted in Confucian heritage culture, and which also echo European American heritage cultures. Conclusion. Many researchers tend to emphasise cultural differences in learning, particularly between Confucian heritage and European American heritage cultures. This paper shows the possibilities of cultural learning values shaping educational choices, expands upon the understanding of Confucian heritage culture, and suggests the similarities between the learning cultures of East Asia and the West.

    W artykule wprowadzono – w nawiązaniu do koncepcji organizacji uczącej się P. Sengego – pojęcie „społeczeństwa uczącego się”. Sformułowano tezę o celowości (ze względu na wyzwania globalne) przekształcenia się społeczeństwa globalnego i społeczeństw lokalnych w społeczeństwo uczące się. Wskazano na wartości moralne (m.in. odpowiedzialność za przyszłe pokolenia), uzasadniające projekt społeczeństwa uczącego się. Sformułowano hipotezę o wartościach (takich jak zaufanie, autonomia jednostki itp.), których realizacja jest przesłanką rozwoju społeczeństwa uczącego się.
    In this paper the notion of „learning society” – in referrence to P. Senge's concept of „learning organization” – was introduced. The thesis about the sense (determined by the global challenges) of transforming global society and local societies into learning societies. The author indicated moral values (e.g. responsibility for future generations) justifying the project of learning society. A hypothesis was formulated about values (such as trust, autonomy of individual and the like) the actualization of which is a precondition for development of learning society.
