Opis:: This paper will present an On Board Unit (OBU), which is an integral part of planned ITS – acronym COOPERS. It will describe the structure, construction and components, ways of communication with the infrastructure (V2I) and with other vehicles (V2V), communication with on board information from CAN and OBD, usage of GPS signal, gyroscope, and user interface. The usage of OBU in the project enables to introduce new functionalities.

Opis:: W ostatnich latach w wielu krajach na świecie są podejmowane intensywne prace w zakresie rozwijania systemów inteligentnego transportu, tj. projektowania oraz budowy nowoczesnych informatycznych i telekomunikacyjnych rozwiązań w dziedzinie transportu. Powoduje to konieczność prowadzenia prac normalizacyjnych, dotyczących rozwiązań technicznych stosowanych w tej dziedzinie. W artykule przedstawiono przesłanki działań normalizacyjnych oraz omówiono instytucje prowadzące takie działania. Wskazano dotychczas opracowane normy oraz procedury tworzenia norm. Scharakteryzowano też w skrócie kilka narodowych struktur, zajmujących się problematyką inteligentnego transportu.
During past years intensified growth of interest on the information technology and telecommunications applications in transport is observed. It causes a need for standardization works respecting technical solutions applied in this area. In the paper premises of such a works are presented, standardization institutions are characterized and lists of standards are included. Procedures of standardization processes are shortly described. Even some national organizations engaged with intelligent transport problems are characterized.

Opis:: Transport remains one of the pillars of development with a view to accelerating economic growth and reducing poverty. It facilitates the exchanges and the circulation of goods and people. Madagascar, as some African countries, lags considerably in the development of its regional trade, mainly due to the lack of reliable and adequate transportation system. Therefore, it has to be recognized that in order to achieve sustainable development, it is necessary to focus the efforts of the State and its development partners to the specific questions of transport and communications in Madagascar. So, the implement of telematics system might be one of the solutions that aim to develop the transport area. The aim of this paper is to undertake the implement of telematics in any area and environment, especially in some countries in Africa, in this case Madagascar, where this technology is not yet used. Also, the paper focuses on the expertise in transport engineering via transport system telematics in order to use telematics system in the proper way.

Opis:: Cameras and radio communications aerials placement on the few tens of meters high tower enables broad observation and analysis of the situation in a significant surrounding, enabling even installation of the mobile communications systems for own observation systems needs as well as for other goals. Article presents multifunctional mast construction – called metamast – enabling multi-variant observation and communications equipment, which can be fitted appropriately to local and functional user needs. Energy-related autonomy of the metamast, based on the renewable sources, allows easy installation in places with hindered access to electric grid. Possibilities of metamast usage for various important applications of intelligent systems area, mainly related to traffic control and it’s security, on the basis of detailed information concerning traffic and road state and conditions are described. Underlines also the meaning of the facilitated communications between driver, vehicle, road side equipment and mentioned telematic systems.

Opis:: The article shows four scenarios for the development of ITS communications technologies in Poland for the years 2007-2013. Global Business Network methodology is used to make up the scenarios. The basic dimensions of the scenarios are (a) type of sectors in the national economy (public vs. private), (b) type of communications technology (wireline vs. wireless). The scenarios present possible futures.
W artykule przedstawiono cztery scenariusze rozwoju technologii inteligentnego transportu w Polsce, w latach 2007-2013. Do ich opracowania wykorzystano metodologię firmy GBN. Podstawowymi wymiarami, zastosowanymi do budowy scenariuszy, są: (a) rodzaj sektora gospodarki narodowej (publiczny - prywatny), (b) rodzaj łączności (przewodowa - bezprzewodowa). Scenariusze przedstawiają możliwe warianty przyszłości.
