Structure of the fleet of the passenger cars registered in Poland in the 1991-2006 years has undergone significant changes due to a dynamically developing situation, both on the domestic and international automotive market. Over the last fifteen years there has been a growing tendency observed in Poland, which led to an over twofold increase of passenger cars being registered. Changes in both makes and age structure of the fleet of the passenger cars registered in Poland are affected by fluctuations of sales figures of the new cars, but first of all by the used cars import. The 90-ties brought about an improvement in the financial situation of certain social groups in Poland as well as increased availability and ease to obtain loans to buy cars. This resulted in the increase of the new passenger cars sales. Since 2000 there has been a decreasing tendency observed in this aspect, but at the same time growing interest in the individual import of used passenger cars to Poland. Especially, since Poland's accession to European Union on the 1-st of May 200 Analysis of both makes and age structure of the fleet of the passenger cars registered in Poland for the first time in the years 2004-2006 as well as those removed from the register, indicates a constant growth in the population of old cars, and increase of their share in the car fleet structure. In the period under scrutiny, cars removed from the register, were dominated by the cars of at least mp-teen years of age, including those over 20 years. Those removed from the register were first of all the cars of makes and models whose low technological quality, and additionally high fuel consumption, excluded them from their further economical and safe usage.

The thermal management system is the one most important unit in the electric car which controls temperature of electric devices by obtaining a stability of their operation in different load and ambient conditions. For the other side the removable pack installed in the closed cradle for easier service during exchange of the modules should be cooled by the air. It is also better for safety during exploitation for the vehicle parts and people. The paper presents the proposal of ventilation of battery packs, assumptions of the battery pack cooling system, mathematical model of heat exchange and graphical results obtained from simulation carried out using the CFD program. During modelling it took into account two models: two-dimensional and three-dimensional for evaluation of the air flow and cooling rate of the battery modules. It was assumed four modules in one row of the cradle with total electric capacity above 4 kWh. The paper shows geometry of the whole battery unit with ventilation passages in 3D configuration. The aim of the work was determination of thermal parameters of the battery modules cooled by the air flow in the close chamber. The proposed cooling model of the cradle with air flow caused by fans in the pipe inlet shows that it is not possible to decrease temperature in the same way of each battery modules.

The article presents scenarios for the EU and national development of passenger electric and hybrid cars. The forecast for 2030 of the shares of such vehicles in the total number of new passenger cars sold in various categories in the EU, has been presented. The expected carbon dioxide emissions for this time horizon, in so-called, life cycle of cars in the EU and in Poland, in relation to conventionally powered passenger cars and electric and hybrid cars, have also been presented The results of surveys conducted by the Motor Transport Institute on the interest of residents of the Polish agglomerations in the acquisition and operation of the electric cars in the coming years have been d. Questions and answers referred to the socio - demographic structure of the respondents and their households, the number of classes of the cars owned, monthly household income and self-evaluation of the quality of the income management. Also, the questions were asked about the ownership and extent of use (frequency of use of a car owned and the average annual mileage) and the criteria for the current and future choices of passenger cars (e.g. price class, purpose). The questions also concerned the technical and economic knowledge of electric cars (such as the impact on the natural environment, operating costs), as well as willingness to incur possible costs associated with the purchase of an electric car. The focus was also placed on getting to know the vulnerability of the consumers to the influence of the actions of the propaganda, administrative and economic nature, which may affect the consumers’ decisions concerning the purchase of electric cars and learning about the reasons for any reluctance to use such vehicles.

The fact that we live in a new era of informational civilization compels us to fulfil new requirements also in the area of transportation and motorization. The paper deals with the problems of the cars of the first years of our century. Basic assumptions for the concepts of such cars are as follows: alternative forms of personal transportation are inevitable, cars must be environment friendly and friendly for human beings, and general design concept of the cars will not be changed. Some examples of such vehicles are presented using the concept of ultra light automobiles described by Q .R. Riley. The paper also describes "zero emission" cars and there are mentioned ideas of the vehicles with engines which are yet known in the sphere of science-fiction only. Design requirements for construction of future cars, ideas on construction of cars of the future as well as requirements which should realize motor vehicles friendly to humans and the environment, example solutions of various technical nature which can contribute to fulfilment of requirements imposed on SPNS and the proposal according to the author (R. Q. Riley) of Alternative cars in the 21st Century [3] are represented in the paper.

The article provides a discussion upon the structure of a measuring head designed and manufactured with the purpose of acquisition of data required by a diagnostic system for hydraulic telescopic shock absorbers of passenger cars operating based on vibroacoustic methods. The basis for the design development was a set of initial assumptions adjusted to the multidimensional methods of analysing vibration signals applied. For the design of the measurement track, a block diagram was proposed which was then extended by auxiliary electronic elements of the measuring system conforming with all the relevant requirements. The main components of the measurement track included: a three-axis sensor for vibration acceleration constructed based on one-axis converters, an angular displacement sensor usedfor measuring the rotation angle and linear velocity of a car and a laser road unevenness sensor. For the computer recording of the signals being measured, an analogue-digital cardwas used. The measuring head in question was mounted on a measuring trolley and then test and trial examinations were conducted while driving at various speeds up to 50 km/h in normal operating conditions. The repeatability of the measurement results obtained proved the measuring head's usability in testing.

The aim of the article is to assess the operation of Heritage Tram Lines in Wrocław in 2018 in terms of the attractiveness of the offer for tourists, uptake, the costs of its maintenance and profitability, to finally indicate some general conclusions on this urban tourism offer. The present moment is special as an increase in carriers (transport companies) operating the Lines from one to two has enabled various changes to be made. Based on data on the number of tickets being sold it is possible to assess that the Lines are most popular in July and August, however even then statistically less than half of the seating places are occupied. Trips with a guide are less frequented than rides without. As a consequence, in this article several suggestions are presented which may help the Lines become more popular: for example a longer period of operation (in a day and in a year), the introduction of new ticket types and additional attractions.

Tematem referatu jest automatyzacja pojazdów ciężarowych. Rozpoczęcie stanowi krótki omówienie zagadnienia wraz z historią transportu. Następnie przybliżane są pojęcia „automatyczny” i „autonomiczny” w odniesieniu do pojazdów. W dalszej części referatu przedstawiona jest obecna sytuacja dotycząca automatyzacji w transporcie oraz platooning, by później przejść do przyszłości, gdy wprowadzone zostaną samochody autonomiczne. Względem nich przeprowadzona jest analiza SWOT i znaczenie dla logistyki oraz etyka tego typu rozwiązań.
The subject of the paper is automation of truck. The beginning is a short introduction and history of the transport. Subsequently, words autonomic and autonomus are defined by transport. In the next part of the paper current situation of automation in transport and platooning are shown, to move forward into the future when autonomous trucks will be introduced. Next, there is SWOT analysis of them, their meaning for logistics and ethics of this type of solutions.

Celem badań było określenie wyposażenia w środki transportowe gospodarstw o różnej powierzchni. Zakresem objęto 166 gospodarstw województwa małopolskiego o zróżnicowanej powierzchni i kierunku produkcji. Wskaźnik ilości środków na 100 ha UR wskazuje na najwyższe wyposażenie w gospodarstwach najmniejszych 29,64 sztuki a najniższe w największych 2,11 sztuk. W strukturze ładowności środków największy udział mają środki o ładowności 3-5 ton, najmniejszy środki o ładowności powyżej 8 ton.
The purpose of the research was to determine the provision with means of transport in different size farms. The studies covered 166 farms in Małopolskie [Lesser Poland] Voivodeship, characterised by diversified area and production line. The index of means quantity per 100 ha of the arable land indicates the highest equipment possession in the smallest farms - 29.64 pcs. and the lowest in the largest farms - 2.11 pcs. As regards the carrying capacity structure, means with the carrying capacity of 3-5 tons have the highest share, and those with the carrying capacity exceeding 8 tons - the lowest.

In the regulations concerning approval of light vehicles starting from September 2019 it will be necessary to conduct exhaust emissions tests both on a chassis dynamometer and for real driving emissions. It is a legislative requirement set forth in EU regulations for the purpose of the RDE (Real Driving Emissions) procedure. To decide on the RDE route for the purpose of the LV exhaust emissions tests many requirements must be fulfilled, regarding for example external temperature and the topographic height of the tests, driving style (driving dynamic parameters), trip duration, length of respective test sections (urban, rural, motorway, etc.). The works on outlining RDE routes are continued across the country in various research centres. Specifying the RDE route for test purposes, i.e. works in which the authors of this article are actively involved, has become a major challenge for future approval surveys concerning the assessment of hazardous emissions from light vehicles and for development studies focusing on - for example - the consumption of energy in electric and hybrid vehicles. The test route has been chosen to ensure that the test is performed on a continual basis. Data were recorded on a constant basis with the minimum duration of the test achieved. The test involved light vehicles and PEMS device for measuring the exhaust emissions, vehicle’s speed, completed route, etc. The device was installed in such manner as to ensure that its impact on the exhaust emissions from the tested vehicle and on the device’s operation is the least. The vehicle load was consistent with the requirements of the standard and included the aforesaid measurement device, the driver and the operator of PEMS. The tests were carried out on working days. The streets and roads used for the tests were hard-surfaced. Measurements were performed in accordance with the requirements of RDE packages (Package 1-4), i.e. taking into account - among others - the engine cold start. The article discusses the method of outlining the test route fulfilling the specific requirements for RDE testing. Chosen results of exhaust emissions from a passenger car with a spark-ignition engine along the defined RDE test route have been provided. The tests discussed in the article are introductory in the area of RDE tests and provide an introduction into further studies of exhaust emissions and energy consumption in real driving conditions in conventional vehicles and vehicles with alternative engines, e.g. hybrid and electric vehicles.

Przedstawiono wyniki badań wykorzystania potencjalnych zdolności produkcyjnych środków transportowych w kontekście kierunku produkcji. W badanych obiektach poziom rocznego wykorzystania potencjału produkcyjnego jest najniższy dla samochodów ciężarowych 4,53%, a najwyższy dla samochodów dostawczych 5,80%. W grupie najczęściej używanych środków transportowych – przyczep skrzyniowych aż 64,79% przyczep o ładowności średniej (przedział 3-5 ton) jest już w pełni zamortyzowanych. Generalnie najwyższe wykorzystanie potencjału występuje w gospodarstwach o kierunku produkcja roślinna (najniższe wyposażenie w środki).
In article presented the results of studies of usage of the potential production capacity of means of transport in the context of the production direction. In the studied objects the annual level of usage of potential production is the lowest for the trucks 4,53% and the highest for delivery vans 5.80%. In the group of the most commonly used means of transport - chest type trailers up 64.79% of trailers with the average carrying capacity (range 3-5 tonnes) is already fully amortized. In general, the highest utilization of potential is in the holdings directed to the crop production (the lowest equipment in the means).

Przedstawiono wyniki badań dotyczących wyposażenia w środki transportowe gospodarstw o różnym kierunku produkcji. Na podstawie uzyskanych wyników badań można stwierdzić, że ilość środków na 100 ha UR najwyższe wartości osiąga w gospodarstwach warzywniczych 14,00 sztuk, a najniższe o kierunku produkcja roślinna 3,71 sztuki. Największy udział mają środki o ładowności 3-5 ton, a najmniejszy - środki o ładowności powyżej 8 ton. Wiek środków w badanych obiektach średnio dla wszystkich środków wynosi 19 lat. Najgorsza sytuacja w tym zakresie występuje w grupie wozów i przyczep skrzyniowych.
This paper has shown the results of investigations concerning the equipment in the means of transport in the farms with different direction of production. Based on the obtained results it can be concluded that the amount of means for 100 ha of cropland, reaches the highest values in the vegetable farms - 14.00 pieces and the lowest in farms with the direction of crop production - 3.71 pieces. The biggest share is in the group of means of carrying capacity about 3-5 tons and the smallest- in means of carrying capacity over 8 tones. The average age for all means in the studied objects comes to 19 years. The worst situation in this area occurs in the group of carts and cargo trailers.
