Opis:: The contemporary man, wanting to define his place in time, needs bonds and continuity, he needs remembrance and knowledge about the legacy of the past. The strength of creative consciousness, thanks to which the man can lean towards the future without any fear, comes from tradition. Tradition is a dynamic phenomenon, it is not inherited as something complete, already worked out. In order to “have” it, you have to shape it with much effort, and even “nurture” it. In the face of the past, one must adopt an attitude of respect, recognition, and, if necessary, admiration or criticism. Then you have to experience it “as if again”, drawing conclusions for the present and the future. Memory aids consciousness in choosing what tradition passes down from generation to generation. Essentially, it passes a hope that invigorates human desires in the pursuit of good and lofty goals. The memory of humanity is the memory of humaneness, it is the consciousness of who a human is in the face of his limitations and possibilities. In order to renew the memory of humanity, it is worth trying today to find a way to revive the creative dialogue between tradition and the present. Tradition, related to cultural heritage, is expressed in the culture of a specific society and the process of socialization of its members. Valued and cherished by the community, it protects itself: protects it from betraying the cultural heritage developed over generations; consolidates the identity and freedom of the community; motivates to noble actions in the spirit of brotherliness and solidarity.

Opis:: Tradycja wiary chrześcijańskiej jako rzeczywistość stanowiąca element składowy autentycznego wyrażenia w czasie i przestrzeni osób wierzących podlega także zróżnicowanej percepcji historycznej-religijnej, filozoficznej, teologicznej, socjologicznej itd. Nie ma w tym nic nadzwyczajnego aż do tego momentu, kiedy jej obecność zwłaszcza po stronie samych chrześcijan przestaje pełnić prawdziwą funkcję formacyjno-duchową. A dziś taka sytuacja wydaje się stanowić pewien negatywny trend w świadomości i postawie wielu osób wyznających chociażby swój związek z Kościołem katolickim. Przy tym do-chodzi jeszcze do prostego zrównywania i utożsamienia odmiennych tradycji między innymi po to, aby nie przywiązywać się do jednej lub dominującej. Tymczasem uznanie chrześcijańskiej tradycji wiary wraz z jej specyfiką i odcieniami wymaga wierności jednemu przekazowi oraz nieustannego zgłębiania własnego dziedzictwa tradycyjnego.
The tradition of the Christian faith as reality constituting the building block of the authentic expression in the time and space of believing persons are subject to also a diversified historical-religious, philosophical, theological, socio-logical perception etc. There is including nothing extraordinary all the way to this moment no, when for her the presence especially on the side of very Christians is stopping performing the real function and formation internships n-spiritual. And today such a situation seems to constitute certain negative trend in the awareness and the attitude of many confessing persons even if virtue of its association with the Catholic Church. At the same time there is still a simple convergence and self-identification distinct traditions, among other things, not to attach to one or dominant. Meanwhile, the recognition of the Christian tradition of faith, together with its specific features and shades of one and ready to explore the ongoing fidelity requires its own traditional heritage.

Opis:: The article focuses upon the relation between the realities of faith and reason. The author presents the image of a Christian Stoic, which is typical of Renaissance literature, and goes on to analyze “Żywoty filozofów” [“Lives of the Philosophers”] by Marcin Bielski to describe the structure and specific features of this kind of book on the history of philosophy at the beginning of the 16th century. Referring to medieval tradition (John of Wales, Walter Burleigh), the article shows how the Polish author used it to create the model of a pious sage, distinguished by his love of intellectual, moral and evangelical virtues. The article also refers to two later works, “Wizerunek własny” [“The True Image of the Life of the Honest Man”] by Mikołaj Rej (1558) and “Dyjalog mięsopustny” [“The Dialogue for the Last Days before the Lent”] (c. 1622), which document the continuity of the medieval tradtion of depicting a Christian philosopher.

Opis:: Przedłożony tekst traktuje o motywach pasyjnych występujących w lirykach Zygmunta Krasińskiego. Dzieło liryczne Krasińskiego w tym aspektowym omówieniu jest konfrontowane z tradycją chrześcijańską rozpoznawaną jako system generujący ideowy kształt całej twórczość autora Irydiona. Motywy pasyjne wybrano tutaj jako przedmiot szczegółowego opisu ponieważ z jednej strony ich frekwencja u Krasińskiego jest bardzo wysoka; z drugiej zaś Misterium Paschalne, którego integralną częścią jest Pasja, stanowi centrum doświadczenia chrześcijańskiego. Jednym z głównych wątków zaprezentowanego tekstu jest zagadnienie obrazowania poetyckiego. Dużo miejsca poświęcono zasadniczemu znakowi Pasji w dziele Krasińskiego, czyli krzyżowi. Wiersze liryczne zostały tu omówione w szerszym kontekście. Zestawiono je z innymi utworami Krasińskiego.
The presented text describes the Passion motives in Z. Krasiński’s lyrics. The lyric work of Z. Krasiński in this aspectual discussion is confronted with Christian tradition recognised as a system generating the ideological shape of the whole literary output of the author of Irydion. The motives of passion were chosen here as the object of a detailed description fi rstly because their frequency in Krasiński’s work is very high, secondly because the Paschal Mystery the integral part of which is Passion is the centre of a Christian experience.The substantiations of Passion are connected with two images here: the sphere of individual sufferings of the lyrical ego or the heroes and the diffi cult or tragic fate of Polish nation. One of the main subjects of the text presented here is the nation of poetic imagery. A lot of space is devoted to the basic sign of Passion in Krasiński’s output i.e. the cross. The lyrical poems were described in a wider context and put together with other works by Zygmunt Krasiński.

Opis:: Artykuł w sposób syntetyczny i panoramiczny przedstawia pedagogię mieszkańców wsi ukazaną w artykułach „Tygodnika Rolników Obserwator”. Czasopismo wprost nie zajmuje się wychowaniem mieszkańców wsi, nie proponuje też żadnych systemów ani metod wychowawczych. Zapoznając się z treścią artykułów zamieszczanych w tygodniku, zauważamy, że duża ich część podejmuje to, co można nazwać pedagogią – wielowymiarowym wychowaniem człowieka – do dojrzałości osobowej i duchowej. Artykuły zwracają uwagę na istotę i praktyczny wymiar takiej pedagogii, podając konkretne sposoby wychowania. Ilość artykułów omawiających pedagogię mieszkańców wsi jest bardzo liczna i zróżnicowana, dlatego artykuł w sposób bardzo syntetyczny ukazuje: 1) Powołanie rolnika, 2) Kształtowanie sumienia, 3) Czynniki wspomagające wychowanie, 4) Wychowawcze zadania uniwersytetów ludowych, 5) Wychowawczą rolę roku liturgicznego, 6) Wychowawcze zadania liturgicznych wspomnień o świętych, 7) Święta ludowe, 8) Społeczny wymiar pedagogii mieszkańców wsi, 9) Wychowawczy wymiar pielgrzymek.
The article presents, in a synthetic and panoramic way, the pedagogy of the villagers presented in the articles included in the magazine „Tygodnik Rolników Obserwator”. The journal does not deal directly with the upbringing of rural residents, nor does it propose any educational systems or methods. Reading the content of the articles published in Tygodnik, we notice that a large part of them undertakes what can be called pedagogy – multidimensional education – leading to personal and spiritual maturity. The articles draw attention to the essence and practical dimension of such pedagogy, listing specific ways of upbringing. The number of articles on the pedagogy of rural residents is very numerous and varied, therefore the article presents in a very synthetic way: 1) Vocation of a farmer, 2 Shaping of conscience, 3) Factors supporting education, 4) Educational tasks of folk universities, 5) Educational role of the Liturgical Year, 6) Educational tasks of liturgical memories of saints, 7) Folk holidays, 8) Social dimension of the village inhabitants’ pedagogy, 9) Educational dimension of pilgrimages.
