    This outline focuses on the multifarious academic, pedagogical and social activities of Fr Luigi Giussani, Professor of Theology, Italian thinker and scholar renowned for his numerous accomplishments. Due to his exceptional attentiveness, inquisitiveness and courage he has been certainly well-known and highly-regarded not only in university and ecclesiastical but also in the cultural and political spheres of life.The author of this study describes Fr Giussani as an exceptional scholar and educator emphasising the pedagogical aspect of his activities. The study explains his understanding of pedagogy and education. Selected achievements from his biography confirm Fr Giussani to be an exceptional human being, educator and scholar. As an educator, Fr Giussani holds a sober and realistic view of man and his formation: the true value of man, he claims, lies in being rational and free. Complete trust in God and great love for a human person define the most fundamental elements of his approach.The outline also includes a short biographical note and describes popular ways of education, formative events, the educators and educatee’s personality constituents, and the relationship between freedom, conscience, tradition and education.

    Opis:
    Liberal democracy is the fruit of many centuries of evolution based on conflict between various interest groups. This struggle, or conflict, is the source of stability in state institutions, the law and the courts. It is a strange pitfall in which numerous strong entities are capable of enforcing their rights. The condition for a liberal democracy to be stable is therefore the existence of sustainable social stratification, opposing interests and forces among social entities. The destruction of social strata in post-communist states has become entrenched and created a new type of uniformized or groupthink society. The elimination of private ownership perpetuated over several generations, mass resettlements and the degradation of higher strata have created a new type of society devoid of genuine stratification, interest groups capable of engaging in conflict with efficacy. Many generations of evolution, including battles, disputes, perhaps of a revolutionary nature, are required for a sustainable structure of liberal democracy to be instilled in states belonging to the former Soviet bloc.
    Demokracja liberalna jest owocem wielowiekowej ewolucji opartej na konflikcie między różnymi grupami interesów. Ta walka lub szerzej – konflikt – są źródłem stabilności instytucji państwowych, prawa i sądów. To dziwna pułapka, w której liczne silne podmioty są w stanie egzekwować swoje prawa. Warunkiem stabilności demokracji liberalnej jest zatem istnienie trwałego rozwarstwienia społecznego, przeciwstawnych interesów i sił wśród podmiotów społecznych. Zniszczenie warstw społecznych w państwach postkomunistycznych ugruntowało się i stworzyło nowy typ społeczeństwa zunifikowanego lub „grupomyślnego”. Likwidacja prywatnej własności utrwalanej przez kilka pokoleń, masowe przesiedlenia i degradacja wyższych warstw stworzyły nowy typ społeczeństwa pozbawionego prawdziwego rozwarstwienia, grup interesów zdolnych do skutecznego angażowania się w konflikt. Wiele pokoleń ewolucji, w tym bitew, sporów, być może o charakterze rewolucyjnym, jest potrzebnych do zaszczepienia trwałej struktury liberalnej demokracji w państwach byłego bloku sowieckiego.

    Opis:
    The purpose of the article is to demonstrate some useful strategies, methods and techniques of the psychodidactics of creativity that also derive from the pedagogy of creativity, in foreign language education. Firstly, the author of the article shows the connection of the pedagogy of creativity and the didactics, and gives some definitions of creativity. Then, some significant strategies are characterized such as: foreign language education, including the culture and tradition of a country, autonomation of the learner, connecting learning with the individual learning needs, authenticity – especially of didactic situations and devices, and the right to make language mistakes – learning by making mistakes (so called the process of conceptualization). Then some creative methods and techniques of learning foreign languages were shown. The author also shows the profile of the teacher that is the best for the creative teaching of foreign languages. That article has both a theoretical and practical dimension – it means that it helps the reader understand the connection between learning foreign languages and creativity, and it includes some practical guides for foreign language teachers to use in their daily teaching.
    Celem niniejszego artykułu jest ukazanie niektórych przydatnych strategii, metod i technik psychodydaktyki twórczości, które również wywodzą się z pedagogiki twórczości, w zakresie edukacji językowej. Po pierwsze, Autorka tego artykułu ukazuje związek pedagogiki twórczości i dydaktyki oraz niektóre definicje kreatywności. Następnie, zostały scharakteryzowane niektóre znaczące strategie nauczania i uczenia się języka obcego, takie jak edukacja języka obcego połączona z kulturą i tradycją kraju, autonomizacja ucznia, powiązanie nauczania z indywidualnymi potrzebami uczenia się, autentyczność zwłaszcza sytuacji dydaktycznej i środków dydaktycznych lub prawo do popełniania błędów językowych – uczenie się przez popełnianie błędów (tzw. proces konceptualizacji). Następnie ukazano niektóre kreatywne metody i techniki nauki języka obcego. Autorka przedstawia również profil nauczyciela, który najlepiej sprawdza się w twórczym nauczaniu języków obcych. Niniejszy artykuł ma zarówno teoretyczny, jak i praktyczny wymiar – oznacza to, że zawiera on interesujące treści, które pozwolą zrozumieć związek nauki języków obcych i kreatywności, a także praktyczne wskazówki dla nauczycieli języków obcych, z których mogą oni skorzystać w codziennym nauczaniu.
