    Opis:
    The objective of this study is the assessment of the promotion of tourist and recreational traffic in Kozłowiecki Landscape Park by examining the intensity and preferences as well as social structure of the participants. The research was conducted using the methods of observation and diagnostic survey, including the application of the questionnaire and interview techniques, as well as the technique of documentation analysis. The research was conducted in 2015. On the foundation of the analysis conducted on the research outcome, it was found that in the studied park mainly the local recreational activity is developing. The promotion of the attractive qualities of this area in the provincial capital city, located 13 kilometres away, is poor although it actually exists. It was also found that the tourism-oriented development of the area surrounding the park is low, yet it was noted that the services provided by the nearby Zamoyski Museum in Kozłówka are very well promoted – unfortunately only by one-day visitors. A proposal was put forward to join the forces of the local institutions and communities and develop an offer of a well-designed, comprehensive tourism product, which will also be well promoted.

    Opis:
    Subject and purpose of work: This article analyses a survey of visitors in Kampinos National Park (henceforth also called Kampinos NP) in order to, among others, explore opinions on the most widely cultivated forms of tourist and recreational activity, as well as to learn about the expectations of visitors with regard to the management of the protected area in connection with the preparation of Park to ensure its accessibility for tourist and recreational purposes. Materials and methods: The study was carried out by the means of the diagnostic survey method, using a questionnaire as an instrument of research. The study group consisted of people visiting Kampinos NP. Results: For visitors, the Park terrain is an ideal place to practice mainly hiking or walking tours and recreational cycling. The park plays a significant role in primarily weekend tourism and recreation, providing a venue for recreational stays and several-hour walks taken by Warsaw agglomeration residents. Conclusions: The research showed that Kampinos NP is one of the best Polish national parks with regard to adaptations for tourism and recreation, as evidenced by one of the densest networks of hiking trails in the country and a wide offer range in terms of natural history and education. In the light of the conducted surveys it can be concluded that the areas of Kampinos NP are well suited for a variety of active tourism and recreation, and the main expectations of visitors focus on appropriate care for the natural environment and small business development.
    Przedmiot i cel pracy: W artykule dokonano analizy badań przeprowadzonych wśród odwiedzających Kampinoski Park Narodowy m.in. w celu poznania opinii na temat najczęściej uprawianych form aktywności turystyczno-rekreacyjnej, a także poznania oczekiwań odwiedzających względem zarządzających obszarem chronionym w kwestii przygotowania Parku do udostępniania turystyczno-rekreacyjnego. Materiały i metody: Badania zrealizowano za pomocą metody sondażu diagnostycznego z wykorzystaniem ankiety jako narzędzia badań. Grupę badaną stanowiły osoby odwiedzające Kampinoski Park Narodowy. Wyniki: Dla odwiedzających tereny Parku stanowią idealne miejsce do uprawiania głównie turystyki pieszej oraz rekreacyjnej jazdy na rowerze. Park odgrywa znaczącą rolę przede wszystkim w turystyce i rekreacji o charakterze weekendowym, stanowiąc miejsce koncentracji kilkugodzinnych spacerów czy pobytów mieszkańców aglomeracji warszawskiej. Wnioski: Badania pokazały, że Kampinoski PN jest jednym z lepiej przystosowanych polskich parków narodowych do uprawiania turystyki i rekreacji, o czym świadczy m.in. jedna z gęstszych sieci szlaków turystycznych w kraju i bogata oferta dydaktyczno-przyrodnicza. W świetle przeprowadzonych badań można uznać, że tereny Kampinoskiego PN są dobrze przystosowane do uprawiania różnych form aktywności turystyczno-rekreacyjnej, a główne oczekiwania odwiedzających koncentrują się na odpowiednim dbaniu o środowisko przyrodnicze oraz rozwoju drobnego biznesu prowadzonego przez społeczność lokalną.

    Puszczykowo zlokalizowane jest ok. 17 km na południe od Poznania w otulinie Wielkopolskiego Parku Narodowego (WPN). Z powodu śródleśnego położenia, sąsiedztwa rzeki Warty, wysokich walorów krajobrazowych i przyrodniczych oraz bliskości Poznania stało się ono w końcu XIX w. popularnym letniskiem. Po wyłączeniu w 1996 r. terenów miejskich Puszczykowa z WPN obserwuje się rosnącą liczbę inwestycji o charakterze komercyjnym, które zagrażają walorom krajobrazowo-przyrodniczym miasta. Obecnie miasto coraz częściej uważane jest za miasto-ogród (Banach, 2012; Przybysz 2007). W artykule podjęto próbę udowodnienia, że Puszczykowo nie było i nie jest miastem-ogrodem. Określanie go tym mianem wynika jedynie z charakteru prowadzonej polityki i promocji gminy. Ze względu na historię i wysokie walory turystyczno-rekreacyjne Puszczykowo powinno być promowane jako letnisko, a nie jako miasto-ogród, z którym ma niewiele wspólnego.
    Puszczykowo is located approximately 17 kilometers south of Poznan in the buffer zone of Wielkopolska National Park (WPN). Because of an inside forest location, high landscape and natural values and a proximity to the Warta River and Poznan Puszczykowo was a popular summer resort since the end of XIX century. After switching off in 1996 the urban areas of Puszczykowo from WPN areas is observed an increasing number of commercial investments that threaten the natural-landscape values of the city. Currently the city is more often referred as the garden-city. This article attempts to prove that Puszczykowo was not a garden-city in the past and is not a garden-city nowadays. Describing Puszczykowo using this term arises only from the policy and the promotion of this region by local authorities. Due to the history and tourism-recreation values Puszczykowo should be promoted as a summer resort, not as a garden-city with which has little in common.

    The article presents the recreational potential of the forests within the Magurski National Park (MNP) and compares it with the actual number of visitors. The study examined 218 forest units comprising in total of 8653 ha, which accounts for 47% of the Park forest area. Forestation rate in the area amounts to 95%. Mean recreational capacity of the forests within the examined part of the MNP was 1.93 manhour/ha/day, yielding 29 persons/ha/year, while the actual number of tourists of 2.35 persons/ha/year. The findings show the recreational potential of the Magurski National Park is used at the low level.

    Opis:
    The aim of this study was to identify the motives of visits in the Wigierski National Park (north−eastern Poland), which were focused on health and regeneration of vitality by inhabitants of Suwałki. Knowledge about the influence of forest environment on health was also investigated. The quota sampling was used to determine the sample size and number of respondents was determined proportionally to the level of education and age of people surveyed. We used discriminant analysis to determine which variables stood out in four analysed age groups. Recreational and tourism as well as therapeutic opportunities, to a great extent, are not just noticed by respondents, but also applied by them in their daily life. Respondents appreciated the healing effect of the forest environment on people, on their physical and mental needs. Such attitude was achieved thanks to widely conducted education, which enhanced such aspects as medical properties of forests and their role in health prevention. Respondents declared the need for visiting actively forest areas for leisure and health reasons. Respondents particularly emphasized a possibility of health improvement, even more than a desire to enjoy anthropogenic attractions of the Wigierski National Park. Taking into account tourists' needs that are aimed at leisure and health, as well as appreciating non−productive importance of forests, it is recommended that the State Forests, through supervision and adequate infrastructure, should strive for the most convenient way to make forest environment available for people. It was also applied for protecting forest resources in order to maintain their sustainability for present and future generations. It was stated that the promotion of active leisure in connection with natural forest environment is a new way of life, especially applied by residents of large urban agglomerations. Such promotion is also a key task of public authorities and various organizations related to ecology and health. A special role is attributed to tourism and recreation organizers, but most of all to the State Forests, which are the main administrator of this forest area.
