    An important help in finding the right place for the liturgy in theology and the manner of practicing theology is the new document of the Congregation for the Clergy The Gift of the Priestly Vocation. Ratio Fundamentalis Institutionis Sacerdotalis issued on  December 16, 2016. This document provides a new order for the subjects taught in seminaries. Sacred Scripture is put in the first place as the soul of theology (Dei Verbum 24). It is followed immediately by the study of the sacred liturgy, which “must be considered a fundamental discipline.” This is because Scripture and the liturgy constitute a living theology, meaning that they are the first and primary locus for all of theology. The fact that the liturgy immediately follows Sacred Scripture is also influenced by a new, in-depth understanding of the liturgy found in the Catechism of the Catholic Church and among contemporary theologians (J. Corbon, A.M. Triacca, A. Schmemann, J. Ratzinger) and a deeper connection of the liturgy with Divine Revelation and its transmission. The author of the article recognizes the particular significance of liturgical theology focused on the joint presentation of the three components of the liturgy, which are the salvific mystery of God, the liturgical celebration and the Christian life. Liturgical theology can be done from the perspective of each of these elements of the liturgy (Mysterium-Actio-Vita). Liturgical theology is the most perfect fulfillment of the liturgical perspective of theology.

    Ważną pomocą w znalezieniu właściwego miejsca liturgii w teologii i sposobu uprawiania teologii jest nowy dokument Kongregacji ds. Duchowieństwa Stolicy Apostolskiej z 16 grudnia 2016 r., zatytułowany Dar powołania do kapłaństwa. Ratio fundamentalis institutionis sacerdotalis. Dokument ten podaje nową kolejność przedmiotów wykładanych w seminariach duchownych. Na pierwszym miejscu znajduje się Pismo Święte, będące duszą teologii (por. DV 24), a zaraz po nim studium świętej liturgii, która „winna być uznana za dyscyplinę podstawową”. Stało się tak dlatego, że Biblia wraz z liturgią są teologią żywą, teologią pierwszą i podstawowym locus dla całej teologii. Wpływ na to ma też nowe, pogłębione rozumienie liturgii w Katechizmie Kościoła Katolickiego i u współczesnych teologów (J. Corbon, A.M. Triacca, A. Schmemann, J. Ratzinger) oraz głębsze powiązanie liturgii z Objawieniem Bożym i jego przekazem. Autor dostrzega szczególne znaczenie teologii liturgicznej, skoncentrowanej na łącznym ukazywaniu trzech składowych elementów liturgii, czyli zbawczego misterium Boga, celebracji liturgicznej i życia chrześcijańskiego. Może być ona sprawowana z perspektywy każdego z elementów liturgii. Teologia liturgiczna jest najdoskonalszym spełnieniem liturgicznej perspektywy teologii.

Istotą przełomu w La Verna była radykalizacja egzystencjalnego wątku teologii Doktora Serafickiego. Niniejszy artykuł jest próbą opisania podstawowych teologicznych i duszpasterskich konsekwencji tego zwrotu w stosunku do współczesności. Głównym punktem odniesienia jest tekst Itinerarium mentis in Deum.
    The article is based on the conviction of a significant modification that occurred in Bonaventure’s thought around 1259. The essence of the breakthrough in La Verna was the radicalization of the existential thread of theology of the doctor Seraphicus. This paper is an attempt to describe the basic theological and pastoral consequences of this turn in their relation to the present day. The main point of attention is text of Itinerarium mentis in Deum.

    Many postulates are put against the contemporary theology. The most important among them are learning of a high level and pastoral care. On the one hand, there is postulated that theology must be careful, systematic and organized in terms of scientific knowledge. It comes in this case to a clear determination of its nature and methods that constitute every field of research as a science, and then to a consequent sticking to the chosen methods. A supplementary postulate concerns such a scientific doing theology, which allows to specify its position compared to other sciences. On the other hand, a postulate is formulated that theology is supposed to have higher level of pastoral care. It is a postulate that appears almost commonly in circles associated with the formation of priests. This is understandable, since theological studies have to prepare for the pastoral care service. The circles of secular theology students speak rather about the “practicality” of theology, although it is in fact the same. The postulates mentioned above are discussed in this article on the basis of reflection on the subject of theology, its nature and method, also on some theological lecture contents and on the spiritual quality of this lecture. There is paid particular attention to possibilities of pastoral theology, but formulated under explicit scientific criterion.
     Pod adresem współczesnej teologii stawia się wiele postulatów. Najważniejszymi z nich są naukowość i pastoralność. Z jednej więc strony postuluje się, by teologia była staranna, systematyczna i uporządkowana pod względem naukowości. Chodzi w tym przypadku o jasne określenie jej natury i metody, które konstytuują każdą dziedzinę badawczą jako naukę, a potem konsekwentne kierowanie się wypracowaną metodą. Postulat uzupełniający dotyczy takiego naukowego uprawiania teologii, które pozwoli określić jej miejsce w stosunku do innych nauk. Z drugiej strony formułuje się postulat większej pastoralności teologii. Pojawia się on niemal powszechnie w kręgach związanych z formacją kapłańską. Jest to zrozumiałe, ponieważ studia teologii mają przygotować do pełnienia posługi duszpasterskiej. W kręgach świeckich studentów teologii mówi się raczej o „praktyczności” teologii, chociaż w gruncie rzeczy chodzi o to samo. W niniejszym artykule zostają omówione wspomniane tutaj postulaty na gruncie refleksji nad przedmiotem teologii, jej naturą i metodą, nad niektórymi treściami wykładu teologicznego oraz nad jakością duchową tego wykładu. Szczególna uwaga zostaje zwrócona na możliwości pastoralne teologii, ale formułowane w świetle wyraźnego przyjmowania kryterium jej naukowości.

    Powyższy artykuł prezentuje w zarysie trudny okres rozwoju Prawosławia na terenie II Rzeczypospolitej, czyli lata 1918-1945. Problemy z uksztaltowaniem jednoznacznej myśli państwowej, ustalenie profilu konfesyjnego czy wreszcie tragedia II wojny światowej ukazywały już wcześniej istniejące problemy bądź ewokowały nowe. Naturalna skłonność do kultywowania tradycji chrześcijaństwa zachodniego na ziemiach polskich musiała wreszcie ustąpić powojennym uwarunkowaniom programu ateistycznego, gdy wojsko stanęło na straży wierności narzuconym treściom traktatowym, by strzec wolności w jej nowych semantycznie ograniczeniach.
    This article above is to outline the difficult period Orthodoxy development in the Second Polish Republic, i.e. the years 1918-1945. Problems with shaping an unambiguous state thought, establishing a confessional profile, or finally the World War II tragedy augmented already existing problems or evoked new ones. The natural inclination to cultivate the tradition of Western Christianity in Poland had to give way to the post-war conditions of the atheistic program, when the army had to uphold its fidelity to the provisions of the treaties and guard freedom in its new semantic restrictions.

    The present study initiates an in-depth reflection, a planned series of articles or a proper book concerning the position of liturgy in theology. It would be inappropriate to start such a subject from theology other than the German one, which had its origin in the liturgical movement. The homeland of the liturgical movement was, undoubtedly, France and later on Belgium. However, in none of the language areas it had such an intellectual foundation as in Germany and Austria. From the very outset the study of liturgy developed here into three directions, but the first two of them usually occurred alongside. The first approach is called the theological and historical study of liturgy, the second one is theological and systematic study of liturgy. The third approach consisted in pastoral liturgics. After the analysis of theoretical assumptions of the mutual link between theology and liturgy and the presentation of the teaching of the Second Vatican Council concerning the focal position of the study of liturgy in theology, there were presented the origins and main objectives of an independent theological discipline (Liturgiewissenschaft) emerging in the German language area and focused on liturgy. Two main trends of the developing discipline were displayed. The first of them is the systematic study of liturgy, created by Odo Casel OSB, and Romano Guardini. The second trend, which stems from the significance of liturgy for the Christian life, is theological and pastoral study of liturgy (Pastoralliturgik). Athanasius Wintersig OSB (1900-1942) is considered to be the creator of this approach.

    Opis:
    Between the year 1925 and the outbreak of World War II, the Diocese of Częstochowa had 473 priests. Apart from their pastoral duties, some priests engaged in writing. They were educated for that purpose, and some of them had had previous authorship experiences in other Dioceses. The most prolific were priests coming from the Diocese of Włocławek. Essays and papers by the Częstochowa Diocese priests were published by university and Diocese publishing houses. Clerical publishing was strongly supported by the Diocese leaders, such as Bishop Teodor Kubina, who emphasized the importance of these activities. The publications in question concerned a variety of issues and domains. Most works concerned theology. Some of these were strictly scientific papers, others were of more popular character, yet others were targeted at a wider public. The publications were in Polish and Latin. Apart from theology, some priests wrote texts in the field of humanities: literature, documentaries and journalism. Altogether, in the years 1925-1939, at least 57 priests were active writers, which equalled 12% of the total of the clergy in the Diocese.
