The humanization in health lives between the “responsibility of identity” (έρος), represented in the Priest and the Levite where there is concern for the Torah, according to the times of Christ, and the “responsibility of alterity” (agapic commitment) symbolized in the Samaritan. The true humanization resides in the paradigm of alterity, which has a metaphor in the Samaritan and is based on an “agapic responsibility” due to the “commotion of the viscera”. Both identity and otherness responsibility are experienced in “poietic responsibility”. One will be a “doing” in a commitment of interest (juridicalpolitical) and the other is summed up in the commitment of dis-interest and “forgetting oneself” (vergeben sich), inexorably giving oneself to the Destitute on the Path. Jesus, in the parable, did not reproach the Priest and the Levite, as they fulfilled and carried out the other face of “poietic responsibility” (acting with identity). But the Samaritan went further and, by carrying out the “agapic responsibility”, he elevated the poietic responsibility in its positive form to the sense of merciful “doing”.

Opis:
The undertaken considerations, with analyzing Stanislaw Kaminski’s thought on the influence of philosophy on theology in logical and epistemological aspect, aim at answering a question: what kind of philosophy does theology need? If supernatural knowledge wants to be scientific, it should use philosophy which is the natural knowledge explaining reality. Philosophical knowledge, achieved through general and abstract terms, provides theology with terms for explaining religious faith. While various philosophical systems try to explain reality, it does not mean that all of them are accepted by theology. With analyzing theological language, theological conclusions, and the evolution of doctrines, S. Kaminski proves that theology needs such philosophical terms which efficiently enable to know reality. Kaminski accepts such a philosophy which investigates real being in the broadest extent, and looks for the ultimate reasons of a being outside a being itself. This philosophy is to be open to the transcendent reality, and assist in understanding the rationality of faith. Nothing but the realistic philosophy of being (ie. metaphysics) is able to harmonize natural and supernatural knowledge, and show faith as a complement of human reason.

The purpose of this text is to reconstruct Paul Tillich’s thought concerning the contemporary issue resulting from the relation between theology and philosophy. The questions to be stated are: Is it possible to establish conditions for theology and philosophy to coexist? If so, where is their source? I am going to show the relation between philosophy and theology in the context of a seeking existence that happens to be a human being, with regards to God who answers human questions. In this paper I will try to present Tillich’s thought based on the hermeneutical way of understanding the symbol, which would make the Revelation being more available and comprehensible for humans. This would result as well in better and more aware understanding of what a human being really is.

This paper is an enquiry on the role of the philosophy in the theology according to the representatives the Lublin Philosophical School. This article is divided into three parts. In the first chapter the development of the relationship between the philosophy and the theology is presented within its historical perspective. The second part accounts for Stanisław Kamiński’s considerations about this subject. This philosopher emphasises the logical and the methodological aspects of the role of that the philosophy is to play within the theology. In the last chapter a solution for the problem is offered by M.A. Krąpiec’s Philosophy. In M. A. Krąpiec’s system the philosophy can give the theology the correct concept of the world and the human being. According to this Thinkers only the classical philosophy is appropriate for the theological reflection.

Opis:
The purpose of this paper is the presentation of Stanislaw Kaminski’s con-cept of theology as a type of scientific knowledge. In the first part the author discusses the relationship between theology and philosophy and in the second one describes theology as a science. Kaminski strongly emphasizes the rela-tionships between theology and philosophy. Their basis is not only the man whose thinking seems to be imbued with a certain philosophy, but also a meta-physical moment of every religion and similar object of both branches. They had the form of antagonism or subsidiarity. They are complicated at the mo-ment of departure in theology from classical philosophy to contemporary trends, which are not always compatible with it. In Kaminski’s opinion theolo-gy must use the achievements of philosophy (especially its conceptual appa-ratus and methods), but can not be mixed or reduced. Kaminski states clearly that theology is a distinct type of scientific knowledge. Its specificity lies in the use of the supernatural sources. He also clearly defines the object of theology – it is not God, because there is no possibility of direct recognition of any super-natural being in science, but rather empirically perceptible religious event (Christian) in all its aspects (historical and cultural, natural and supernatural). The subject determines also the method, which is not homogeneous. The theo-logians use a variety of methods, drawn from the philosophical sciences, hu-manities and social sciences.

The author undertakes four points: (a) There was no major change in Gilson’s position on Christian philosophy as it was defined and justified in his 1931 Gifford Lectures and later developed in the sixties. (b) During the 1960s, Gilson’s Christian philosophy placed more emphasis on its Christian aspect, faith guiding reason. Earlier formulations emphasized philosophy searching within the faith for what can become rational. (c) During the 1960s Gilson emphasized faith and the Church as the guardian of Christian philosophy, expressed a relative indifference to the validity of rational proofs for the existence of God, and empathized with those accepting questionable philosophical approaches to understand the faith. (d) Gilson’s Christian philosophy fits into the framework of post-modernism.

According to Lévinas, the Face is the most expressive part of the Other. And it is in the Face E. Lévinas begins by considering that the Other reveals itself as the “distant”, where transcendence is ensured, then, the “philosopher of the Other”, to accept the Other as the neighbor, affirming transcendence here. The Other is the one I meet face to face (facie ad faciem). The Other has a similarity to the “Un-valid”, on the way, in the street, (street man) of the parable of the Good Samaritan. It is the one who is helpless (Other) in the street and that the encounter in the condition of needy, marginalized and treated by brother. that the other manifests as truly Another. It seems evident in the “philosophy of the Other” that it manifests itself in the Face. Who’s the other one? But, according to Levinas, transcendence would not be possible when the Other was initially the similar or the next. The effort of Lévinas that goes beyond considering the other just as the friend or relative. The Other arrives, confronts me with “flip-flops,” facing me, as if he has all the rights to me, facing me regardless of my will or my adhesion to him. Inevitably, the Other presents me hostile, my friend, my teacher, my student, through my Idea of Infinity. It could be said that the Other (the next) is the man of the street, the man of the road (helpless), who passes, the first one that arrives. The next as another, “says Lévinas,” does not allow himself to be preceded by any forerunner who would describe or announce his silhouette. Similarly, in the parable of the Good Samaritan, the Other is the man of the road half-living (Jesus Christ), who was the first to be present because of the robbers (Luke 10:30). The Other is the “halfdead” on the side of the road of life. The Other is the first to appear, which falls into the hands of the robbers. The Other is the first to arrive. According to the parable of the Good Samaritan, the first who came, from the way from Jerusalem to Jericho, was the Other (represented symbolically in Jesus Christ).

In particular, they attempted to modernise contemporary Thomism (the trend which was then prevailing) by employing logical tools. The influence of Jan Łukasiewicz, the co-founder of the Warsaw School of Logic will be also discussed.

Philosophy in technology is a research program that studies the philosophical roots of engineering and technology. Technologists, by virtue of their education, believe that the limits, goals, possibilities, and effects of technology on society and humankind are exclusively technological problems, hence their solutions must lie exclusively in technology. In contrast, philosophy in technology asserts that the resolutions to these problems need to be rooted in an understanding of their philosophical origins. This program paper defines the objectives of philosophy in technology, the kinds of questions it explores, the methods it uses, and how it differs from the philosophy of technology.

Pytanie o metodologiczny i teoriopoznawczy status obrazu Boga we współczesnej teologii jest jednym z najważniejszych, jakie należy postawić w świetle przemian społeczno-religijnych, następujących we współczesnym społeczeństwie. The question about the methodological and epistemological status of the image of God in contemporary theology is soon to be posed in the socio-religious light of contemporarysociety. Departure from institutionally practiced religious faith is often seen as an image of God (and the relationship between God and man), which is becoming less and less acceptable to modern man. It is not only a matter of human disagreement motivated by an anti-religious attitude, but above all the influence of its distortion in contemporary theological, homiletic and catechetical transmission. This image, first created in theology, considerably increases the already heavy burden in relation to the moral obligation of man, and thus is largely impoverished by elements derived from his existential and spiritual experience. Recovering a more adequate image of God requires a thorough philosophical reflection on theology and the reconstruction of this image on the basis of an in-depth reference to the content, and the simultaneous linking them with the current religious experience that manifests itself in his existence. -------------- Received: 20/09/2020. The article deals with Heidegger’s attitudes towards theology. Heidegger, stating that existential philosophy and theology are incompatible, advances a thesis of not objectivating poetic thinking. Whereas, Ricoeur’s biblical hermeneutics is based on his theory of metaphor. The lingual act here means the destruction of the old outlook for the sake of the new one. In this dramatic way cognition occurs as a meeting. The poetic thinking of the late Heidegger is also based on a meeting that covers both horizontal coexistence and vertical direction. The author raises the question whether the poetic thinking of the late Heidegger is not theological?
