The article presents the results of the research showing Polish teachers’ knowledge and experiences concerning organising outdoor education of children. The research searched for answers to the following questions: How do teachers define outdoor education? Where do they derive knowledge about it from? Do they take into account spaces and places other than the school building in the education process? What methods and forms of work with a child do they prefer? What factors facilitate and which make it difficult for them to practise outdoor education? The relationship between the selected aspects of outdoor education practised by teachers and the location of the school (city and village) was also examined. The research used the diagnostic survey method and the questionnaire technique. A proprietary questionnaire for elementary education teachers was developed. 276 respondents, in response to the questions, revealed their knowledge, their own views, and described their own activities related to the practice of outdoor education. Empirical data have shown that in Polish schools, outdoor education is practised extremely rarely, and its frequency is mainly related to the location of the facility. Incidentally conducted, it is characterised by a predominantly didaskalocentric attitude. Respondents indicate that only occasional education outside the school building results mainly from the lack of acceptance of this type of classes by the headmaster of schools and parents, and also from deficit of teachers’ competence in this area. The undertaken studies are important due to their unique nature in Poland. Moreover, they show directions of changes desired in teacher education curricula and the process of shaping parents’ awareness.

The paper concentrates on the historical and contemporary context of the teaching profession. The authors focus on the history and present times of primary school teacher training in the former Czechoslovakia, and in Slovakia, particularly at the Faculty of Education, University of Presov in Presov. They detail important factors which influence the profession – especially socio-political situations, opinions of professionals (experts), the structure of study programmes and strategic planning. They point out that there have been significant changes in teacher training in recent years.

Opis:
Preparedness of teachers to work with pupils with a need of supportive measures and especially with pupils who live and grow up in socially excluded localities, is very low. Quantitatively oriented research investigation8, carried out in 13 regions of the Czech Republic with the sample size of 2005 respondents, offers results that raise doubts towards the inclusively oriented primary education. The teachers are not ready for the phenomenon. This paper focuses on attitudinal constructs of the teachers which can be understood as evaluative relationship towards the observed phenomenon, whose form reflects the subjectively perceived preparedness. It concerned the orientation in the context of questions of social exclusion and school education, actual form of school environment and, ultimately, their own perception of school inclusion.

There is a certain amount of research that proves that positive emotions and mood play an important role in creative human activity (Abele-Brehm, 1992; Tokarz, 2011; Kunat, 2015). Particularly valuable is ability to recognise emotions and communicate them. It is also important to accept experienced emotions, gain a skill to react accordingly as well as ability to evoke and regulate emotions. According to Salovey and Mayer’s model, the aforementioned dispositions are elements of emotional intelligence. It turns out that emotional intelligence can stimulate creative activity since it enables management of emotional expenditure (Nęcka, 2001). The paper presents results of research conducted among teachers of primary schools. It was assumed that there is a correlation between emotional intelligence and creative activity of teachers. The research can contribute to development of emotional skills of teachers and to intensify their creative activity. That, in turn, can translate into shaping of innovative school environment that fits the needs of contemporary young person - a student.

Celem artykułu jest wykazanie, jak ważny jest dobór metod i technik podczas przekazywania wiedzy historycznej, w sposób szczególny wiedzy na temat Holokaustu, dzieciom i młodzieży w taki sposób, aby nie doświadczyły traumy. Autorka skupiła się na pedagogicznym spojrzeniu na traumę, na tym, czym ona jest. Skoncentrowała się na (ogromnej) roli nauczyciela, którego zadaniem jest dbanie o higienę psychiczną ucznia. Przedstawione zostały teksty literackie dopasowane do wieku uczniów oraz sposoby ich omawiania. Znaczna część artykułu została poświęcona także filmowi. Autorka omówiła kilka produkcji, które nie były wyświetlane w kinach, jednak posiadają ogromny walor edukacyjny i artystyczny.
The purpose of this article is to demonstrate the importance of choosing methods and techniques when teaching historical knowledge, specifically the Holocaust to children and adolescents, in such a way that they do not experience trauma. The author focused on the pedagogical approach to trauma, what it is. She also focused on the (huge) role of the teacher, whose task is to take care of the mental health of the student. Age-appropriate literary texts for students and ways of discussing them were presented, and a significant part of the article was devoted to film. The author discussed several productions, which while not shown in cinemas have a great educational and artistic value.

The article ‘Family in the educational space of primary school: research report’ addresses the issue of searching and implementing the new forms of school-family partnership in the context of forming the proper nurture attitudes in a reference to the main analysis directions, its sources and dimensions within a space of Primary School NO1 in Sianów. The open dispute over educational space in polish educational establishment leaded the article’s authors to the considerations of a school and a parent, a child and a teacher within, as one of the most important component of educational space. The interest of this component is justified by the polish school supervision system requirements, which aim at forming a proper, standard value system of a child including teacher-parent collaborative relationships and activities.

A child's entry into primary school is an important life event for parents that is accompanied not just by the child’s expectations but also those of the parents themselves. We have attempted to interpret them in the present study, which presents the results of a quantitative research investigation conducted through random multi-stage stratified sampling based on analysing relevant surveys and building on the authors' previous qualitative investigations. The sample studied was 504 parents of pupils in Years 1 and 2 who attended selected primary schools in the 2020/2021 school year. The main data collection tool was an online questionnaire that mapped primary school choice strategies and parents' expectations of the school, schooling, and teachers. These factors were then examined in relation to the variable choice of an educational program and parents' attitudes toward education (an academic approach versus a personalistic one). We found that parents' expectations of school choice are principally divided according to whether respondents believe school should fulfil the more traditional role of education or whether they prefer their children to develop their personalities and seek an alternative educational program or school for their offspring.

Professional burnout syndrome is undoubtedly another civilisation disease that affects modern societies. In May 2021 professional burnout was included within the list of the WHO International Classification of Diseases, however, not as a disease, but as an occupational syndrome significantly affecting health of an employee. However, it is worth noting that it is only from 2022 that professional burnout will have become a disease which will need to be treated. The research presented below shows that there are many factors which cause this new disease, and stress is among the main ones. Working as a teacher, which is considered one of the professions of supportive nature, means being exposed to various stress factors. One of the most dangerous effects is professional burnout which can lead, among others, to many health disorders, subjective treatment of students, and ultimately, make teachers resign from their job.

W pierwszej części podjęto próbę wprowadzenia do tematu wagi wyrażania własnych emocji, obaw i potrzeb przez dzieci i młodzież w sposób pośredni – za pomocą rysunków i prac pisemnych. Ponadto określono sylwetkę dobrego pedagoga, z naciskiem na cechy pożądane we współczesnym systemie edukacji. Druga część opracowania odnosi się do badań własnych o charakterze jakościowym, które wskazują na sposób postrzegania owych relacji z nauczycielem przez dwie zróżnicowane wiekowo grupy uczniów szkoły podstawowej. Próba psychologicznej analizy prac dzieci dała możliwość określenia ich skrywanych potrzeb odnoszących się do oczekiwanych przez nie cech idealnego nauczyciela. W celu ukazania wyników badań dokonano kolejno próby analizy psychologicznej prac plastycznych uczniów klasy drugiej, a następnie wypracowań uczniów klasy szóstej. Badania pokazały, iż uczniowie szkoły podstawowej oczekują od nauczycieli empatycznego podejścia, dostosowania metod pracy do ich potrzeb i rozwoju technologicznego. Konieczne jest zatem zaangażowanie nauczycieli w wykonywanie zawodu, podjęcie przez nich gotowości do ciągłych zmian oraz samodoskonalenie.
In this article one can distinguish two parts. In the first one, an attempt is made to introduce the emotions, concerns and needs of children and young people, indirectly, through the use of drawings and written works. This part also shows the essence of the relationship between the student and the teacher and the importance of its influence on the multi-faceted development of children and youths. In addition, the profile of a good educator was emphasised, with the desirable characteristics in the contemporary education underscored. The second part of the article deals with qualitative own research that shows how these relationships with the teacher are perceived by two different age groups of primary school students. An attempt at psychological analysis of children’s work provides an opportunity to define their hidden needs in relation to the expectations of an ideal teacher. In order to illustrate the research results, the students attempted a psychological analysis of the art work of the second grade students and later the work of the fourth grade ones. The research has shown that elementary school students expect empathic teachers to adapt their work methods to their needs and technological development. It is therefore necessary to involve teachers in the profession, to be ready for continuous change and self-improvement.

Temat artykułu został sformułowany jako „Sytuacja dziecka rozpoczynającego naukę w szkole podstawowej”. Tematyka dotycząca podjęcia przez dzieci obowiązku szkolnego jest w bieżącej chwili bardzo popularna. W przypadku niektórych osób pojawiają się liczne obawy, czy na pewno pierwszoklasista poradzi sobie w szkole nie tylko ze stresem, ale i licznymi obowiązkami, które często są dla niego trudne do zaakceptowania. Artykuł ma charakter teoretyczno-badawczy. Przybliżono w nim terminologię występującą w tekście. Dokonano krótkiej charakterystyki sytuacji dziecka rozpoczynającego naukę w klasie pierwszej. Opisano postać współczesnego wychowawcy pracującego w szkole podstawowej. Zaprezentowano ideał nauczyciela, który powinien pracować z dziećmi w wieku przedszkolnym. Zwrócono uwagę na jego życzliwość do dzieci, pomysłowość, kreatywność, cierpliwość, pasję do wykonywanego zawodu oraz przyjazne nastawienie do rodziców swych podopiecznych. Przedstawiono również problematykę badawczą oraz przedmiot badań. Opisano metodę, technikę i narzędzia badawcze, a także dokonano charakterystyki miejsca przeprowadzonych badań oraz opisu badanych grup. Obszerna część artykułu to omówienie wyników badań własnych – analiza i interpretacja.
he subject of the article was formulated as ‘The situation of a child who started primary school’. The subject of the compulsory schooling is very popular at the moment. For some people, there is a great deal of doubt whether a first-grader will be able to cope at school not only with stress but also with many responsibilities that are often difficult for them to accept. The article is of a theoretical and research nature. The terminology found in the text is approximated. There is a brief description of the situation of a child who has started school in the first grade. A description of the contemporary educator working in elementary school in presented. An ideal teacher to work with preschool children is depicted. Attention was paid to their friendliness towards children, ingenuity, creativity, patience, passion for the profession and a friendly attitude towards the parents of their pupils. The research topics and the subject matter of the research are also presented. The method, technique and research tools are described as well as the characteristics of the place of the conducted research together with a description of the researched groups. A large part of the article is a discussion of the results of our own research―an analysis and interpretation.

The present text deals with the cooperation between teachers and parents in the field of upbringing. The analysis of ranges, aims, forms of co-operation and factors stimulating its effectiveness was conducted based on the research done among 90 primary school teachers from Poland and 120 from Hungary. The cooperation between teachers and parents rests on e.g. exchange of experience and it is a significant factor supporting the comprehensive children’s development. This close cooperation enables early diagnosis and elimination of critical problems.
Niniejszy tekst dotyczy współpracy nauczycieli i rodziców w zakre-sie wychowania. Analiza zakresów, celów, form współpracy, czynników warunku-jących jej efektywność została dokonana na podstawie badań przeprowadzonych wśród 90 nauczycieli szkół podstawowych z Polski oraz 120 z Węgier. Współ-praca obu tych środowisk polegająca m.in. na wymianie doświadczeń stanowi istotny czynnik wspierający wszechstronny rozwój dzieci i umożliwiający wczesną diagnozę i eliminowanie niepokojących zjawisk.

Opis:
W niniejszym artykule podejmowany jest problem przygotowania studentów do zawodu nauczyciela edukacji wczesnoszkolnej na Ukrainie. Analiza retrospektywna literatury wskazuje, że po raz pierwszy problem przygotowania nauczycieli do zawodu stał się przedmiotem dyskusji dopiero w XVIII wieku. Od tego czasu nastąpiły istotne zmiany w organizacji procesu kształcenia nauczycieli do zawodu. W 2018 roku w szkolnictwie ukraińskim została wypracowana i wprowadzona koncepcja „Nowa ukraińska szkoła”. Głównym jej zadaniem była reforma struktury szkolnictwa, a przede wszystkim edukacji wczesnoszkolnej. W tym celu wypracowano standard kształcenia przygotowujący do wykonywania zawodu nauczyciela edukacji wczesnoszkolnej„Nauczyciel klas początkowych w szkole ogólnodostępnej”. W pierwszej części opracowania zostało zaprezentowanych pięć etapów powstania i rozwoju organizacyjnego szkół pedagogicznych przygotowujących przyszłych nauczycieli edukacji wczesnoszkolnej do zawodu (koniec XVIII i początek XXI wieku). Druga część poświęcona została organizacji procesu nauczania przyszłych nauczycieli klas początkowych w Akademii Humanistyczno-Pedagogicznej w Chmielnickim.
The issue of training students for the profession of early education teachers in Ukraine is considered in the article. Retrospective analysis of literature shows that the question of preparing teachers for their job was first discussed in the 18th century. Since then, there have been significant changes in the organization of teachers’ preparation for the profession. In 2018, the concept of a “New Ukrainian School” was developed and implemented into Ukrainian education. Its main task was to reform the education system, especially early school education. For this purpose, the standard of educating early school teachers was prepared. It is entitled: “Early Education Teacher in the Public School”. In the first part of this article, the author presents five stages of the emergence and organizational development of educational institutions which train future teachers to work in primary schools (from the end of the 18th to the beginning of the 21st century). The second part focuses on organizing the process of educating future early school teachers in the Khmelnytsky Humanities and Pedagogic Academy.

The objective of the study was to assess the status of physical education at different levels of school education in rural and urban areas of Przemyśl County. The study included physical education teachers working in primary, middle and high schools. The analysis showed that most of the schools in the city have better conditions for the implementation of obligatory physical education classes. In addition, most teachers complain about conditions in schools. According to physical education teachers, combined classes, lack of equipment and appropriate sports base are the most common causes of making it impossible for them to accomplish the program of physical education in schools in the Przemyśl County.
Celem badań była ocena stanu wychowania fizycznego na różnych poziomach edukacji szkolnej na terenach wiejskich i miejskich powiatu przemyskiego. Badaniami (kwestionariusz ankiety) objęto nauczycieli wychowania fizycznego pracujących w szkołach podstawowych, gimnazjalnych i ponadgimnazjalnych. Przeprowadzona analiza wykazała, iż lepsze warunki do realizacji obowiązkowych zajęć wychowania fizycznego posiada większość szkół znajdujących się w mieście. Dodatkowo można stwierdzić, że większość nauczycieli narzeka na warunki panujące w szkołach. Według nauczycieli wychowania fizycznego łączenie klas, brak sprzętu i brak odpowiedniej bazy to najczęstsze przyczyny uniemożliwiające realizacje programu.
