    Opis:
    The philosophy of Immanuel Kant based on the logical analysis of reason in general and moral reason in particular. To him, moral principles should come from reason not from experiences. The general formula based on reason is the Categorical Imperative; it is the Moral Law. In this paper Sustainable Development is revisited from Categorical Imperative point of view. Three aspects of sustainable development like need, justice and the environmental limitation is given equal importance and the entire discussion is broadly distinguished into three different categories viz., Kantian Social Imperative, Kantian Economic Imperative and Kantian Environmental Imperative.
    Filozofia Immanuela Kanta oparta jest w ogólności na logicznej analizie rozumu, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem rozumowania moralnego. Według niego zasady moralne powinny pochodzić z rozumu, a nie z doświadczenia. Najważniejszy jest oparty na rozumie Imperatyw kategoryczny; to Prawo Moralne. W tym artykule problematyka zrównoważonego rozwoju została omówiona z perspektywy Imperatywu kategorycznego. Trzem aspektom zrównoważoności: potrzebom, sprawiedliwości i ograniczeniom środowiskowym nadana równą rangę, a cała dyskusja uwzględnia trzy różne kategorie: kantowski imperatyw społeczny, kantowski imperatyw ekonomiczny i kantowski imperatyw środowiskowy.

It is possible only when based on the functioning of a civic society.

    This article aims at examining to what extent Macer’s theory “sustainable development chair” (where cultural education, and the axiology and moral education within it comprises one of four fundamentals of education for sustainable development) is reflected in the capacity of knowledge and skills obtained by pedagogy students PWSZ in Chelm. The starting point for consideration is to present and analyse the questionnaire results carried out by students of the 1st and 3rd year of pedagogy PWSZ in Chelm. These results became the basis for the following workshop activities performed with the drama method application (covering those such as improvisation with the literary text, body movement and voice performance, role play). The authors intended, first of all, to assess students’ integrated order concept understanding (and within this concept: axiology and moral education) implemented with traditional instructional methods, and then innovative (drama and staging ones); secondly, to obtain materials enabling the most effective methods of education for balanced development implementation to be defined. An additive element of conducted activities was the analysis of potential students’ engagement into a new idea implementation.

    The concept of global education is based on the recognition of the world as a network of interdependencies and on realizing the fact that the current direction of the development of civilization is leading to environmental and humanitarian disaster. On the other hand, there is a belief that there is still a chance to change this state of affairs by means of education. The purpose of education is recognized as not only a transfer of knowledge, but also as a transfer of morals that are able to generate a shift in attitudes. In order to strengthen the impact of the global education project, it is necessary to provide a coherent description and axiological analysis of the values behind it. In the paper, we argue that ethicists should work on building philosophical arguments for the development and implementation of global education programs. We argue further that such a philosophical framework should be based on the ideas of new humanism (proposed by Aurelio Peccei) and global responsibility (formulated by Hans Jonas).

    Artykuł odnosi się do zasad etycznych obecnych w idei zrównoważonego rozwoju. Autorzy wskazują, jak w narodowej koncepcji zrównoważonego rozwoju Słowacji obecne jest stosowanie zasad etycznych. Ponadto w artykule wskazano, jakie są możliwości wdrożenia nowego paradygmatu etyki stosowanej w koncepcji zrównoważonego rozwoju i jaka jest rola różnych subdyscyplin etyki stosowanej w rozwiązywaniu problemów zrównoważonego rozwoju. Zestawiono konsumpcyjny styl życia z życiem zrównoważonym z etyczno-krytycznej perspektywy, wskazując na zależności między jakością życia, stylem życia i trwałością życia.
    This article refers to the ethical principles present in the idea of sustainable development. The authors points out, how the application of ethical principles is present in the National concept of sustainable development of Slovakia. In addition, the article points out the possibilities of applying the new paradigm of applied ethics in the concept of sustainable development and the role of different sub-disciplines of ethics used in solving problems of sustainable development. Consumed lifestyles have been set up with a balanced life from ethical-critical perspective, indicating the relationship between quality of life, lifestyle and sustainability.
