One of the forms of Caritas activities in the Radom Diocese is a help for victims of domestic violence. Issues of domestic violence are included to particularly painful problems of the modern world, beside which nobody should pass indifferently. Presented material is an attempt to portray functioning of chosen elements of the local system of support to families touched by the problem of violence. Significant features of Caritas’ activities in Radom are its integrated character as well as an attempt to include victims of violence into the process of their life change. Besides social, therapeutic, legal dimension one of the essential support element is spiritual development accompanying therapy.

Underage parenting is an experience that can be defined as difficult, even critical. It is the same both for teenagers and their families. Adopting the role of a father and mother in adolescence, and so prematurely, generates a number of difficulties that occur in almost every sphere of functioning of these young people. It is therefore necessary to take steps supporting not only underage parents, but also their families. In this article, the issue of supporting teen parents and their families have been described. The sources of information are the empirical studies of underage mothers carried out in 2008 and underage fathers in 2012-2013. They enabled not only to recognize the difficulties that usually involve teen parents, but also the scope and type of support they receive.

Without prejudice to numerous institutions organized in the best possible way, nothing affect interpersonal relations as much as individual, empathic and intimate contact with other human being does. The greatest help in case of any challenge is the support of another person followed by an institution. The similar thesis was put forward but A. Zurek who claimed that people comprise the most important link in the process or rehabilitation, both those who provide care and those who receive it. When people face the fact of disability so called first circle of support seems to play a major role in dealing with the experience. Its purpose is to provide specific type of support aimed at creating measures to overcome negative consequences of the disability. Social support includes care, trust, respect (emotional support), expressing acceptance, encouragement and understanding. The purpose of this article is to show the importance of human assistance as a crucial component of social and proffessional rehabilitation of people with disabilities.

Rituals have been a part of our reality for a long time. As an individual subject of research they have been functioning since the second half of the nineteenth century. Contemporary studies concern the problem of changes connected with rituals, their importance, form and presence in the world today. The presented research is a part of this trend pointing to the need to create ritual experiences for people at junior high school age, as the elements controlling the overwhelming chaos which resulted from internal processes (creating identity) and the processes connected with the change of the environment ( leaving primary school and entering junior high school).
Rytuały od dawna są częścią naszej rzeczywistości. Jako samodzielny przedmiot badań funkcjonują antropologii od drugiej połowy dziewiętnastego wieku. Współczesne opracowania dotyczą problemu przemian związanych z rytuałami, ich znaczeniem, formą oraz obecnością w dzisiejszym świecie. Przedstawione badanie wpisuje się w ten nurt wskazując konieczność stwarzania rytualnych doświadczeń osobom w wieku gimnazjalnym, jako elementów opanowujących wszechogarniający chaos wynikły zarówno z procesów wewnętrznych (budowanie tożsamości) jak i związanych ze zmianą środowiska funkcjonowania (zmiana szkoły podstawowej na gimnazjum).

The research described in the article is based on the assumption that support is a function of internal dialogs, but their role in a stressful situation is not known. The subject of the research is dialogs with imaginary interlocutors and their role in coping in stressful situations. The participants in the study (N = 73) were asked to imagine a difficult situation. Then, the experimental group (N = 36) conducted an imaginary dialog with a person from the previously created map of support. The control group (N = 37) generated a list of possible solutions to a difficult situation. The study measured the quality of support obtained as a result of the dialog or as a result of making a list of solutions. The results show that a dialog with an imaginary interlocutor is a more effective form of coping with a stressful situation than generating a list of possible solutions to the problem.

Family has always created an indispensable environment for a man to fulfill his needs and for his development. Family makes our lives meaningful, helps to put plans into practice and to assign goals. The need for belonging to a family constitutes a value dear to all communities. In the literature of the subject there exists a general division into functional and non-functional families. One of the factors determining a family's capability is violence. It influences the quality of the offspring upbringing, family relationships and bonds. In its air social competence of parents declines and their attitude to family-related responsibilities deteriorates. The issue of domestic violence is tackles by specialists of the area of law, psychology, sociology, pedagogy and medicine, who are studying sources and methods of fighting with this phenomenon. Its social damage is so devastating that its unambiguous definition is almost impossible. In the face of a serious threat generated by domestic violence in recent years, there have been held campaigns, workshops, local and nationwide conferences to promote assistance to violence-stricken victims. Preventive schemes have also been developed to restrain violence in schools and local community. Violence affected individuals can seek help in centers founded especially for this purpose and maintained by local councils (MOPS) or county councils (PCPR), as well as non-government organizations and associations. A comprehensive support for families suffering from domestic violence is provided by Emergency Intervention Centers and Specialist Centers of Support for Victims of domestic Violence. In the region of Lower Silesia there exist two institutions of such a character, one inWroclaw and the other one in Walbrzych. Their activity involves therapeutic tasks, aid and provision for victims of domestic violence.

The main inputs used in agriculture include biological products, chemical substances, technological systems as well as human and material factors. In general, pressure on the input side exerted by traders’ accounts for an extra profit of about 15-20% at the expense of the producers’ potential profit of a similar size. On the other hand, the annual agricultural support schemes are mostly utilized by the purchasers of produced goods due to depressed purchase prices. The establishment of an electronic marketplace and innovation space on the input side may bring about a major breakthrough in this situation improving purchase conditions in agriculture offering an opportunity to expend production through improving profitability. The objective of this research is to develop a concept for an innovative online marketplace which establish competition situation among input providers, enlarge supply side and discontinue inflexible trade structures. The present study intends to demonstrate the role that this type of new electronic marketplace may play in the life and operation of public organizations.

The purpose of this paper is an attempt to present the impact of the economic size of farms on the range of support measures of the European Union Common Agricultural Policy. Detailed analyzes were conducted on the example of direct payments and payments for areas with unfavourable farming conditions (LFA). Their amount was considered in relation to farm income. The analysis covered the year 2011. In relation to the total amount of the analyzed farms, CAP support the EU in 2011 was 43.7% of farm income. The basic elements of support from the EU CAP payments were direct payments and payments for less favoured areas. They created respectively 74.3% and 9.9% of the total support. The increasing impact of these measures on income is observed year by year.
Celem niniejszego opracowania jest próba ukazania wpływu wielkości ekonomicznej gospodarstwa na zakres wsparcia środkami Wspólnej Polityki Rolnej UE. Szczegółowej analizie poddano płatności bezpośrednie i płatności dla obszarów o niekorzystnych warunkach gospodarowania (ONW). Ich wielkość rozpatrywano w relacji do dochodu z gospodarstwa rolniczego. Analizą objęto 2011 rok. W odniesieniu do analizowanych gospodarstw ogólna kwota wsparcia w ramach WPR UE w 2011 roku stanowiła 43,7% dochodu z gospodarstwa rolniczego. Podstawowymi elementami wsparcia ze środków WPR UE były płatności realizowane w ramach dopłat bezpośrednich i płatności dla obszarów o niekorzystnych warunkach gospodarowania. Stanowiły one odpowiednio 74,3% i 9,9% ogólnego wsparcia. Z roku na rok obserwuje się zwiększanie oddziaływania tych środków na dochody.

Artykuł przedstawia doświadczenia kopalni „Knurów-Szczygłowice" Ruch Knurów w zakresie utrzymywania chodników przyścianowych w warunkach zagrożenia metanowego oraz zagrożenia tąpaniami. Wzrost zagrożenia metanowego wymusił na kopalni, oprócz stosowanego powszechnie odmetanowania, zmianę systemu przewietrzania wyrobisk ścianowych w celu niedopuszczenia do niebezpiecznych koncentracji metanu, co wiązało się niejednokrotnie z koniecznością utrzymywania chodników za frontem ściany. Dużym utrudnieniem było również utrzymywanie chodnika w skojarzonych zagrożeniach naturalnych - metanowym oraz tąpaniami - co wiązało się z doborem odpowiedniego układu podporowo-kotwiowego za frontem ściany dla przejęcia obciążenia górotworu, ograniczeniem liczby zatrudnionych pracowników do jego zabudowy oraz z dbałością o właściwą organizację robót. Prowadzone pomiary konwergencji utrzymywanych chodników za frontem ściany w jednostronnym otoczeniu zrobami zawałowymi pozwoliły na ich bezpośrednie porównanie oraz ich odniesienie do warunków geologiczno-górniczych w jakich zaprojektowano i utrzymywano poszczególne chodniki. Analiza wykonanych pomiarów konwergencji utrzymywanych chodników w warunkach wpływu zaszłości eksploatacyjnych kopalni „Knurów-Szczygłowice" Ruch Knurów pozwala przyjąć założenie, że utrzymywanie chodnika pod obszarem nieodprężonym w zasięgu wpływu równoległych krawędzi pokładów jest niezwykle trudne do realizacji z uwagi na pojawiające się duże obciążenia obudowy utrzymywanego chodnika oraz na pojawiające się znaczne wypiętrzanie warstw spągowych. Również ważnym aspektem podczas utrzymywania chodników za frontem ściany jest odpowiednia metodyka i wybór odpowiednich elementów układu podporowo-kotwiowego, mającego przenieść obciążenie za frontem biegu ściany, w nawiązaniu do warunków geologiczno-górniczych. Stosowanie niewłaściwie dobranych podpór bądź kotwi w zróżnicowanych warunkach geologiczno-górniczych, objawia się znacznym zaciskaniem wyrobiska za frontem ściany, utratą jego funkcjonalności, a w następstwie koniecznością ograniczenia biegu ściany w warunkach zagrożenia metanowego, bądź jego późniejszą przebudową w warunkach utrzymywania chodnika dla kolejnej ściany. Utrzymywanie chodników za frontem ściany powinno być również polem dla szukania nowych rozwiązań podpór o wysokiej nośności, spełniających jednocześnie kryteria ekonomiczne oraz kryteria bezpiecznej i prostej ich zabudowy w coraz trudniejszych warunkach pracy.
This paper presents the difficulties with maintaining roadways near the Knurów-Szczygłowice coal mine at Knurów due to methane and rockburst hazards. Increasing methane hazards forced the mine to change its system of ventilation and to undertake methane draining efforts to avoid the buildup of dangerous methane concentrations. This was often meant to maintain the stability of roadways behind the longwall face. A major difficulty was also roadway maintenance related to similar natural hazards with methane and rockburst. Actions taken entailed choosing an appropriate stand and roof bolting support system behind the longwall face, limiting the number of workers employed in its application, and managing proper work organization. Convergence measurements taken of the maintained roadways roadways featuring one adjacent longwall goaf allowed for comparisons and can serve as references for geological and mining considerations impacting future roadway design and maintenance. Analysis of convergence measurements from the former mining impact area in the Knurów-Szczygłowice coal mine indicates that roadway maintenance in the area that was not decompressed with parallel bed edges suffered severely, due to substantial support loads and floor heave. Proper methodology and choice of support system parts (able to bear loads behind the longwall face) commensurate with the local geology and mining conditions are also significant factors in roadways maintenance. Applying inappropriate props or bolts under diversified geological and mining conditions results in significant roadway convergence behind the longwall, the loss of a longwall's functionality which limits the longwall's lifespan due to methane hazards, or the later rebuilding of a longwall when maintaining the roadway for the next longwall. Roadway maintenance behind the longwall face should also be a field where new solutions are considered for high load capacity props considering the important criteria of cost, safety, and easy set up under increasingly difficult working conditions.

The aim of the research was to determine the psychological gender against the background of a partner’s support and the spouse’s workplace. The research involved a group of 503 married women and men, including 354 professional soldiers - of who 152 have participated in military missions and 202 work in Poland. The research included also 149 women - 94 wives of soldiers participating in missions and 55 women in relationship with soldiers doing their job in Poland. To collect the data for research the nonprobability snowball and purposive sampling methods have been applied. The research was conducted in 2013. The respondents, in majority showing androgynous characteristics, perceive the support on the part of their families as average or very low. Substantial differences as to the psychological gender and support have been observed in the group of soldiers doing their service in their home country. The feminine men and people with unspecified gender identity seem to receive the lowest support, while the androgynous people and male men experience the highest one. Interesting dispersion of results has been observed - the lowest for the group of feminine men, the highest for the androgynous ones

The purpose of the article is to present and evaluate the justifiability and functionality of basic instruments of support for people with intellectual disabilities in the legal and social dimension, and to specify the position of this category of our country’s residents within the system of education, employment and career development policies aimed at them. The issues related to the situation of people with intellectual disabilities are treated holistically, presenting tendencies related to systemic factors that shape the normalization concept and provide a foundation for social integration policy carried out for people with intellectual disabilities.
