Opis:
One of the strategic decisions of any organization is decision making about manufacturing strategy. Manufacturing strategy is a perspective distinguishing a company from other present companies in that industry and creates a kind of stability in decisions and gives a special direction to organizational activities. SIR (SUPERIORITY& INFERIORITY Ranking) method and their applications have attracted much attention from academics and practitioners. FSIR proves to be a very useful method for multiple criteria decision making in fuzzy environments, which has found substantial applications in recent years. This paper proposes a FSIR approach based methodology for TOPSIS, which using MILTENBURG Strategy Worksheet in order to analyzing of the status of strategy of the Gas Company. Then formulates the priorities of a fuzzy pair-wise comparison matrix as a linear programming and derives crisp priorities from fuzzy pair-wise comparison matrices Manufacturing levers (Alternatives) are examined and analyzed as the main elements of manufacturing strategy. Also, manufacturing outputs (Criteria are identified that are competitive priorities of production of any organization. Next, using a hybrid approach of FSIR and TOPSIS, alternatives (manufacturing levers) are ranked. So dealing with the selected manufacturing levers and promoting them, an organization makes customers satisfied with the least cost and time.

The purpose of the presented study was to identify the effect of using the e-mind maps strategy at the academic achievement level in learning Arabic vocabulary skills among six-grade primary male students in Iben Al-Atheer School for Intermediate Education in Kuwait in the 2017/2018 school year. The sample of the study consisted of 60 male students, equally divided into two groups, experimental and control ones. The result of the study indicated that there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control one in the post achievement level test scale in favor of the experimental group. The effect size of using mind maps was high. There were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental and control group scores in the post achievement test of the Arabic vocabulary learning in favor of the experimental group. The study concludes with recommendations for future mind-mapping in other contexts.

Based on a critical analysis of literature, the paper has as goal to highlight the basic elements, which should be taken into account in assessing a coherent framework for assessment and classification of global environmental risks. In order gather the attention of professionals in this field of concern, a rather unemployed approach is used, based on the analogy with characters and situation specific to Greek mythology. In correlation with the above- mentioned issues, in the final section of the paper, an attempt is made to develop a management strategy of global environmental risks.
Na podstawie krytycznej analizy literatury, autorzy artykułu naświetlili podstawowe elementy, które należy uwzględnić w trakcie szacowania i klasyfikacji globalnych zagrożeń środowiska. W celu przyciągnięcia uwagi profesjonalistów z tego zakresu wykorzystano raczej nieużywane dotąd podejście oparte na analogii do bohaterów i sytuacji z greckiej mitologii. W nawiązaniu do wspomnianych powyżej zagadnień, w końcowym paragrafie artykułu zaproponowano opracowanie strategii zarządzania globalnymi zagrożeniami środowiska.

The notion of a cluster is not new. Linking companies, suppliers, units and other bodies gives one a range of opportunities in terms of competitiveness and innovation. This is why various entities go in for this kind of cooperation. The concept of energy clusters first appeared in the Polish Renewable Energy Sources Act of 2016, which defines what energy clusters are, and what their role is. As part of creating an energy security strategy, it was decided to combine the aspect of local energy resources and the experience of entities along with the potential and support of the state. Emphasis was placed on the role of security at various levels, even those being a part of the whole system. The goal of this paper is to determine to what extent the development of clusters can improve energy security. The paper has been divided into three parts. The first part looks at the role and direction of state policy for the development of clusters. The second part scrutinises the current state of investments, i.e. what investments have been made and to what extent they improve energy security. The third part discusses the impact of public governance on the future of energy clusters in Poland. It shows to what extent decisions of public administration bodies can devise the path of development of local entities. For the purposes of this analysis, a hypothesis has been formulated that puts forward the idea that creating cluster policy as part of public management improves energy security in Poland. On the whole, the paper is of a mixed nature, as it includes management as an aspect of political decisions, and the issue relevant to Poland’s energy security by focusing on the latest news and events.
„Klaster” nie jest pojęciem nowym. Wiadomo również, że wzajemne powiązanie przedsiębiorstw, dostawców, jednostek itp. daje szereg możliwości pod względem konkurencyjności i innowacyjności. Stąd też podmioty decydują się na tego rodzaju współpracę. Koncepcja klastrów energii pojawiła się wraz z ustawą o odnawialnych źródłach energii w 2016 r. W ustawie zdefiniowano, czym są klastry energetyczne i jaka jest ich rola. W ramach kreowania strategii bezpieczeństwa energetycznego postanowiono połączyć aspekt lokalnych zasobów energetycznych i doświadczenia podmiotów wraz z potencjałem i wsparciem ze strony państwa. Zaczęto podkreślać rolę bezpieczeństwa na różnych płaszczyznach, nawet tych najmniejszych, będących cząstką całego systemu. Celem artykułu jest ustalenie, w jakim stopniu rozwój klastrów może wpłynąć na poprawę bezpieczeństwa energetycznego. Artykuł został podzielony na trzy części. Pierwsza przedstawia rolę i kierunek polityki państwa na rzecz rozwoju klastrów. Druga analizuje stan faktyczny inwestycji, tj. jakie inwestycje zostały zrealizowane i w jakim stopniu wpływają one na poprawę bezpieczeństwa energetycznego. Trzecia część omawia wpływ zarządzania publicznego na przyszłość klastrów energetycznych w Polsce oraz pokazuje, w jakim stopniu decyzje administracji publicznej mogą kreować kierunek rozwoju lokalnych podmiotów. Na potrzeby analizy sformułowano hipotezę, że kreowanie polityki klastrowej w ramach zarządzania publicznego wpływa na poprawę bezpieczeństwa energetycznego w Polsce. Artykuł ma charakter mieszany: został uwzględniony zarówno aspekt zarządzania, jak i aspekt decyzji politycznych. Omawia problem istotny dla bezpieczeństwa energetycznego Polski, koncertując się na najnowszych informacjach i wydarzeniach.

Climate change can be seen every day. It affects our lives indirectly, e.g. by blurring the differences between the seasons, and directly by causing weather anomalies such as floods, high or low temperatures, mists that often become smog, and so-called air pollution. Europeans have access to statistics analysing the state of the air they breathe, but this does not mean that something is changing. There is still a visible increase in the incidence of respiratory diseases. The WHO, which deals with the effects of climate change, helps countries to adapt to change. Emissions in EU Member States represent only 10% of global greenhouse gas emissions. This shows that climate protection requires intensification of actions not only of the Community members, but also of other European countries, as well as governmental and non-governmental organisations, market participants, including individuals. In light of these facts, it is possible to make the following hypothesis: air pollution is a threat to the environment, health, and a major cause of death. The goal of this paper is to indicate the impact of greenhouse gas emissions on human health. As a result, it has been divided into 3 sections. The first section describes the EU’s strategy on air pollution; the second section looks at air quality in Europe; and the third section focuses on the impact of air pollution on human health. The paper rests on the analysis of international documents and/or websites.
Zmiany klimatu mają wpływ na nasze życie w sposób pośredni, np. zacieranie się różnic między porami roku, oraz bezpośredni, np. anomalie pogodowe – powodzie, wysokie lub niskie temperatury, mgły które często stają się smogiem, tzw. zanieczyszenia powietrza. Europejczycy mają dostęp do statystyk analizujących stan powietrza, jednak nie oznacza to, że coś się zmienia. Ciągle widoczny jest wzrost zachorowalności na choroby związane z układem oddechowym. Pomocne jest WHO, które zajmuje się skutkami zmian klimatu, udziela państwom pomocy w celu adaptacji zmian. Emisje w państwach członkowskich UE stanowią tylko 10% globalnej emisji gazów cieplarnianych. Sytuacja ta pokazuje, że ochrona klimatu wymaga intensyfikacji działań nie tylko członków Wspólnoty, ale i pozostałych państw europejskich oraz organizacji rządowych i pozarządowych, wszystkich uczestników rynku, w tym osób fizycznych. W świetle tych faktów można postawić następującą hipotezę: zły stan powietrza wpływa na ludzkie zdrowie i prowadzi do zwiększonej liczby zachorowań na choroby układu oddechowego. Celem pracy jest wskazanie wpływu emisji gazów cieplarnianych na zdrowie ludzi. W rezultacie praca została podzielona na 3 rozdziały. Pierwszy opisuje strategię UE wobec zanieczyszczenia powietrza, drugi analizuje jakość powietrza w Europie, a trzeci skupia się na wpływie zanieczyszczenia powietrza na ludzkie zdrowie. Praca została zaopatrzona we wstęp i zakończenie zawierające końcowe wnioski. Informacje zostały przygotowane na podstawie nie tylko polskich, ale także zagranicznych źródeł. W pracy wykorzystano analizę zawartości dokumentów międzynarodowych i stron internetowych

Developing an effective business strategy ought to be based on the aspects of rationality, not only with the roots of present time, but also with the past and characteristics acquired in previous competitive episodes that may form the context for future ones. Thus, in analyzing the possibility of supporting decisionmaking process, one should take into account the essential properties of economic entities (objects), such as their complexity, dynamics and nonlinearity. Within this perspective, in order to model the dynamic behavior, system dynamics approach has been used in the work here reported. This technique complements the popular management approach of balance scorecard, providing the multidimensional view of an enterprise and expressing the interrelations among different processes in it.

This paper describes the most important problems related to the management of intellectual property in startups. Startups have become an inseparable element of the innovative economy. Many of these companies base their development on intellectual capital and innovations. In this context, it is extremely important to legally secure the innovations and protect intellectual property. These activities can often be the decisive factor in the development of startups. This article aims to identify, analyse and evaluate the most important issues related to the management of intellectual property in startups. The first part of this paper presents the performed literature review, which mainly concerns the definition of innovation, the state of entrepreneurship in Poland, and the definition of a startup. The second part of the article deals with the main problems related to the management of intellectual property in startups. It is divided into three issues: underestimating the importance of intellectual property, the lack of intellectual property management strategies in startups and financial challenges of startups. The main results of the research indicate that many startups still have low awareness of what is intellectual property and what can be the consequence of using exclusive rights of others. The protection of intellectual property should become one of the elements of business strategies. However, startups find that the creation of the strategy and its implementation is rather expensive.

Within last 30 years, in the modern societies, especially those more wealthy ones, relatively deep transformation took place in respect of purchasers' preferences and expectations as well as the values presented by them. These changes also apply to foodstuffs. Food products belong to the ones bought regularly and they take and important position in the structure of household expenditures. The article concentrates on the presentation of changes taking place in the European societies in respect of consumption, with particular stress on the foodstuffs. An attempt was also made to show the specificity of food producers' activities being the response to the current changes.

Coopetition of services is one of the possibilities for the development of entities. The article indicates the reasons for competition cooperation. The term 'Indo-Pacific', while mingling the Indian and the Pacific Ocean geopolitics in the 21st century, also attempts to integrate India with the Pacific region geopolitically. India has increasingly integrated economically with the Pacific world since the unveiling of her Look East Policy in 1994, rechristened as the Act East Policy in 2014. Growing hostility between the country and China compelled India to turn to the 'contain China' approach in the Pacific region, which is the cradle of Chinese naval prowess. However, India's deficient naval strength with its focus on the Indian Ocean and her land-oriented security priority amid Chinese and Pakistani threats are major handicaps to India's geo-strategic aspirations in the Pacific region vis-à-vis China's rise. Therefore, India, unable to pursue an offensive realist approach to contain China in the Pacific, has opted for a 'balance of threat' approach, forming alliances with the China-wary countries of the Pacific region, albeit only informally, in order to avoid Chinese retribution.

W artykule dokonano analizy porównawczej dwóch współczesnych strategii kosmicznych opublikowanych przez Wielką Brytanię i Francję. W odniesieniu do pierwszej z nich określono wizję oraz cele strategiczne. W następnej kolejności opisano realizację określonych celów za pomocą czterech filarów. Opisano 4 fazy wdrażania strategii, z horyzontem czasowym po 2030 roku. W odniesieniu do francuskiego odpowiednika strategicznego określono wagę przestrzeni kosmicznej we współczesnych działaniach militarnych, jak również wskazano na ramy prawne militarnych i niemilitarnych działań w Kosmosie. Kolejna część publikacji traktuje o kierunki rozwoju oraz nabywane w przyszłości zdolności kosmiczne. Za istotne uznano zwiększenie autonomii strategicznej, której czynnikami są: prawo, aspekty techniczne oraz współpraca międzynarodowa. Opisano mapę drogową, określając francuskie ambicje w rozwoju tego obszaru operacyjnego. W ostatniej części od- niesiono się do kwestii strukturalnych związanych z nabywaniem zdolności kosmicznych. Dokonano porównania najważniejszych elementów strukturalnych obydwóch strategii: wizje i cele strategiczne, sposoby osiągania celów strategicznych, aspekty międzynarodowego prawa kosmicznego, etapy realizacji zadań określonych w strategiach, analizę i identyfikację zagrożeń oraz ambicje dotyczące osiągnięcia statutu supermocarstwa kosmicznego. Wskazano różnice oraz części wspólne poruszanych elementów strukturalnych dokumentów.
The paper presents a comparative analysis of two contemporary space strategies published by the United Kingdom and France. In respect to the first one, the vision and strategic objectives have been defined. This is followed by a description of the achievement of defined objectives through four pillars. Four phases of strategy implementation were outlined, with a time horizon after 2030. With reference to the French strategic counterpart, the importance of space in modern military activities was defined, as well as the legal framework for military and non-military activities in space was in- dicated. The next part is devoted to the development directions and future acquisition of space capabilities. An increase in strategic autonomy, the factors of which include law, technical aspects and international cooperation, was considered important. A roadmap was described, defining French ambitions in the development of this operational area. The final section addresses structural issues related to the acquisition of space capabilities. A comparison was made between the most important structural elements of two strategies: visions and strategic objectives, ways to achieve the stra- tegic objectives, aspects of international space law, stages to achieve the ta- sks defined in the strategies, analysis and identification of threats, and ambitions to achieve space superpower status. The differences and common parts of the addressed structural elements of documents were indicated.

artykule została przedstawiona obecność międzynarodowych firm ubezpieczeniowych na ukraińskim rynku ubezpieczeniowym, w szczególności ubezpieczeń na życie, oraz przeanalizowany ich oddziaływanie na podmioty krajowe. Zostały wyznaczone strategie dotyczące kierunku i rozwoju firm ubezpieczeniowych.
In the article the presence of international insurance companies on Ukraine’s insurance market has been, in particular, in the area of life insurances. Influence of activity of international companies on participants of insurance market of Ukraine is analysed. The directions of development of insurance companies activity are defined.
В статье рассмотрено присутствие международных страховых компаний на украинском рынке страхования, в частности страхования жизни, и исследовано их влияние на отечественных участников, определены стратегии направления и их развития.

Opis:
Although the subject of synergy has been explored for a long time, there are many indications that it is still gaining in importance, in the field of economics. The phenomenon of synergy seems particularly important in the field of M&A’s, alliances and the development of new organizational forms of enterprises. Synergy effects are most often evaluated from the operational and very rarely in the strategic, structural perspectives. The aim of the article is to identify and systematize the most important perspectives for synergy effect evaluation in the process of strategic analysis. The identified perspectives will be the starting point of the further research on criteria selection for synergy effects evaluation and will be one of the components of a more complex framework of the process of resource analysis. The research was conceptual, based on a literature review in the fields of methodology of strategic analysis, strategic management and Resource-Based View (RBV) approach. The identification of the structural conditions for synergy effect evaluation, requires focusing on: the subjective scope of the synergy effect analysis, key areas of strategy content and context, with the important role of strategic resources.
