    Biblia ukazuje teofanię Boga, od którego pochodzi wszelka świętość. O niej mówią Arka Przymierza, miejsca święte, szaty, przedmioty kultu, czas i szabat. Świętość ma wymiar moralny, bo wzywa do odpowiedzi na miłość Boga, do życia zgodnie z Jego przykazaniami. Ewangelia o Chrystusie stanowi fundament świętości i działanie Kościoła przez sakramenty uświęcające każdego chrześcijanina, jeśli przyjmuje je z miłością. Bł. Jan Paweł II w liście Novo millenio ineunte podkreśla: prowadzenie do świętości pozostaje szczególnie pilnym zadaniem duszpasterskim. Podporządkowanie programu duszpasterskiego „świętości” oznacza, że człowiek mimo grzechu nie godzi się na własną małość, bo świętość Chrystusa wyzwala i doprowadza do głębokiej religijności.
    The Bible shows the theophany of God who is the source of all sacredness. Places, robes, cult objects, time and sabbath may reveal His holiness which has a moral dimension as it requires the response to God’s love and obedience to His commandments. The Gospel is at the core of holiness. Man can sanctify themselves thanks to sacraments. In his letter Novo millenio ineunte blessed John Paul II stresses the necessity of holiness in the life of the Church and pastoral activity. The man who aims to sanctify themselves cannot consent to sin and has to deepen their religious life. Their striving for sacredness in everyday life brings authentic freedom and allows them to stay in God’s presence.

    Opis:
    Blessed Angela Truszkowska is among the important figures in nineteenth-century Poland. She was a co-founder of the Congregation of Felician Sisters. Her writings testify to her love of Jesus Christ, the Divine Bridegroom and His Church. It is in the Divine Master that Truszkowska had found a sense of religious life, therefore she showed Him as a model of love that did not hesitate to lay down His life and remain under the Eucharistic forms. She encouraged her fellow sisters to fulfil God's will modelled on Christ, and to imitate Him in their whole life. She thought that the consecrated person was called to sanctity and should make every effort to follow Jesus Christ; His words should be radically put into practice in this person's life.

    Duchowość jako funkcja świętości i − jak uczy św. Jan Paweł II − “życie w Chrystusie i w Duchu Świętym, które jest przyjmowane w wierze, przejawia się w miłości i ożywiane nadzieją, realizuje się w codziennej praktyce wspólnoty kościelnej” (EiAm 29), pozostaje w ścisłym związku z mariologią. Ta zależność ma swoje implikacje metodologiczne, treściowo--doktrynalne i praktyczne. Jeśli chodzi o implikacje metodologiczne, to potrzeba przede wszystkim szerszego otwarcia teologii duchowości na zagadnienia mariologiczne. Odnosi się wrażenie, że współcześni mariologowie dostrzegają potrzebę zwrócenia się ku duchowości bardziej, aniżeli teologowie duchowości ku mariologii. Trzeba także podkreślać bardziej maryjny wymiar katolickiej duchowości, aniżeli duchowość maryjną jako taką. Odnośnie do treściowo-doktrynalnych implikacji mariologicznych dla duchowości, to na uwagę zasługują takie kwestie, jak: zamieszkiwanie Trójcy Świętej w człowieku, chrystoformizacja, działanie Ducha Świętego, łaska sakramentów, które są źródłem i przejawem życia duchowego, antropologia duchowa, rola ciała i zmysłów w życiu duchowym, doświadczenie duchowe i mistyczne, a także nawrócenie i dynamika duchowego rozwoju. Trzecim, praktycznym obszarem związku mariologii z teologią duchowości jest usytuowanie życia duchowego w kontekście społeczno-eklezjalnym. We współczesnym Kościele w Polsce przed mariologami i teologami duchowości stają nowe wyzwania, na przykład: kult Bożego Miłosierdzia, orędzie fatimskie, wciąż żywe sanktuaria i ruch pielgrzymkowy oraz dynamiczne zrzeszenia chrześcijańskie.
    Spirituality as a function of holiness and – as St. John Paul II teaches us – “life in Christ and `in the Spirit', which is accepted in faith, expressed in love and inspired by hope, and so becomes the daily life of the Church community” (EiAm 29), remains closely related to Mariology. This relationship has its methodological, content-doctrinal and practical implications. In terms of methodological implications, there is a need for a wider opening up of spiritual theology to elements of Mariology. It seems that today's experts in Mariology perceive a need for turning to spirituality to a larger extent than spiritual theologians do with regard to turning to Mariology. One should also emphasise more that Catholic spirituality is of Marian nature rather than emphasise Marian spirituality as such. With respect to content-doctrinal Mariological implications for spirituality, the following issues should be given attention to: the Holy Trinity dwelling in man, christoformisation, the work of the Holy Spirit, the grace of the sacraments which are the source and manifestation of spiritual life, spiritual anthropology, the role of the body and the senses in spiritual life, spiritual and mystical experience, as well as conversion and the dynamism of spiritual growth. The third, practical area of relationship of Mariology to spiritual theology is the placement of spiritual life in the social and ecclesial context. In today's Church in Poland, mariologists and theologians are facing new challenges, for example: the cult of Divine Mercy, the Message of Fatima, the sanctuaries and pilgrimage movement, which are still vibrant, as well as dynamic Christian associations.

    The article presents the pursuit of the fullness of life in God by the saint patrons of the Archdiocese of Poznan, namely the saint bishop and martyr Stanislaw of Szczepanow, the blessed bishop and hermit Bogumil and the saint sister Urszula Ledochowska. The presentation is done according to the scheme: determinants of spiritual life - the most important elements and manifestations of sanctity. The inferences and assertions resulting from the conducted analyses are included in the conclusion. The study is preceded by a recapitulation of the basic truths regarding Christian spir- itual life and the role of saints in the lives of Christians. Studies have shown, among other things, that each of the patrons came into the world in a family with a deep faith and received a vocation to dedicate their life to God. In saint Stanislaus and saint Urszula you can see great organizational talents, a very friendly and gentle reference to others, concern for those in need of help and support, and the greatness of their dedication to others. In blessed Bogumil, the most noticeable feature is his love for hidden life and the practice of severe penance. All three share a commitment to evan- gelization. Each of them reveals a passion for prayer, a concern for being in deep communion with Christ, living with Christ and for Him the experience of suffering and awareness of responsibility for the salvation of others, as well as distance to material goods.
