Opis:
A training program, ‘Formation of skills for independent life while working with children at risk’ is presented in the paper. It is intended for students of Social Activities, a field of study. Objectives and tasks are defined in the articles, and the basic knowledge and skills that students receive during the process of training under this program are specified. The content of the program is presented in two parts. Part one covers methodological principles applied in formation of skills for independent life. Three main stages to be mastered by the students in the training process within the stage of forming skills for independent life in children from risk groups are elaborated. Part two of the program covers five sections for mastering individual and group techniques of a practical and applied nature; its content is included in Trainer’s Manual.

Celem artykułu jest opisanie projektu Dream Makers. Głównym celem tego projektu było wsparcie rozwoju kreatywności myślenia i umiejętności w edukacji przedszkolnej poprzez działania związane z drukiem 3D. Główne koncepcje projektu to kształcenie i szkolenie w zakresie przedsiębiorczości. Ta perspektywa jest dobrze ugruntowanym obszarem badań, który sprzyja duchowi przedsiębiorczości i rozwoju umiejętności, które łączą aspekty społeczno-emocjonalne, takie jak pewność siebie, przywództwo, kreatywność, motywacja, odporność i poczucie własnej skuteczności. W artykule przedstawiono podstawowe informacje obejmujące główne koncepcje działań projektu, a następnie opis przeprowadzanych procesów wdrażania i projekt ewaluacji. Autorki mają nadzieję, że projekt ten będzie przydatny dla nauczycieli i innych naukowców realizujących podobne projekty, zwłaszcza z dziećmi w niekorzystnej sytuacji ekonomicznej, aby rozwijać swoje umiejętności, co może dać im pewną przewagę w przyszłości.
The article aims to describe the Dream Makers Project. The main objective of the project is to improve creative thinking and skills at the stage of pre-school education through 3D printing activities. The main concepts of this project are entrepreneurship education and training. This perspective is a well-established field of study that fosters entrepreneurial mindsets and skills which integrate socio-emotional aspects, such as self-confidence, leadership, creativity, motivation, resilience and self-efficacy. The article presents the background information on the main concepts of project activities and, next, describes the processes of project implementation and the evaluation project. The authors hope that this project will be useful to teachers and other researchers who conduct similar projects, especially among economically disadvantaged children, in order to help children develop skills which can benefit them in the future.

The aim of this paper is to analyze the differences that exist in the field of accounting in Mexico between competences training offered by universities and demands concerning the labor market, focused on knowledge, skills and values. The results obtained in this study show a significant degree of separation between competences training received by the accountants newly graduated from the universities and the current demands of the labor market. It is important to note that other education environment variables could be taken into account to be included in future studies following this paper.

Opis:
High quality teaching materials, which will effectively integrate four major language learning skills, is critical in language learning. Material designers are practitioners who are well aware of the (non)effectiveness of various teaching methods and strategies. This paper aimed to study the types of exercises in young leaners’ language classes and skills focused on. The content analysis was done by examining the most frequently used student books from grade 1 to 4. The analysis has proven that the receptive skills are generally more focused on but the productive ones also receive attention even at the lowest grades. The usual stimulus for in-class tasks is a visual one, which is also used computer/tablet-ready additional learning material. The complexity level ranges from basic shorter output in the lower to more autonomous and real-like communicative situations in the higher grades.

This paper attempts to present some views on the concept of entrepreneurship in the context of professional musicians’ life and work. Entrepreneurship has been increasingly regarded as an important aspect of music professions, even though it has not been universally welcomed. It has been mostly seen as a necessity resulting from the difficulties on a labour market. However, it can be argued that an entrepreneurial approach might be an effective formula for those artists who appreciate independent and innovative ways of creating value, both economic and cultural. The paper is focused on defining possible areas of musician’s entrepreneurship and exploring ways it is present in initial and continuing education programmes. It concludes with some suggestions for potential changes in music tertiary education and professional development opportunities.
Artykuł prezentuje wybrane poglądy na rolę przedsiębiorczości w kontekście aktywności zawodowej muzyków. Choć uważana coraz częściej za niezbędny aspekt uprawiania zawodów muzycznych, przedsiębiorczość postrzegana jest ciągle raczej jako konieczność wynikająca z konieczności adaptowania się do wymagań rynku pracy. Można jednak twierdzić, że postawa przedsiębiorcza pomaga i daje możliwości tym artystom, którzy próbują tworzyć nową wartość zarówno w sensie ekonomicznym, jak i kulturowym. W tekście zarysowane zostały obszary, których dotyczyć może przedsiębiorczość artysty muzyka oraz przedstawione sposoby uczenia się przedsiębiorczości w ramach programów studiów artystycznych. Konkluzje artykułu obejmują m.in. sugestie dotyczące możliwych zmian w uczelniach artystycznych oraz programach rozwoju zawodowego artystów.

The article attempts to explain the scientific and social phenomenon that was constituted by the figure of Wacław Nałkowski. With comprehensive knowledge concerning his life, the author undertook the characterization of his personality with the use of the special psychological method of transactional analysis. It is a method developed by American psychiatrist Eric Berne during 1960s. It explains the way people think and behave, offering many tools to understand human functioning, social, spiritual and intellectual development, and person’s inherent creative potential. The analysis proved to be helpful to define these characteristic sand attitudes of Nałkowski that are desirable in today’s teachers and researchers.

Szkoła wyższa zapewnia bezpieczeństwo edukacyjne studentom poprzez zaspokajanie aspiracji naukowych, zawodowych oraz osobistych. Celem artykułu jest analiza potrzeb edukacyjnych studentów wybierających kierunki studiów z obszaru nauk społecznych. W grupie badawczej liczącej 268 studentów zbadano zapotrzebowanie na kompetencje, preferencje oraz motywy wyboru uczelni i kierunku studiów, w tym istnienie zależności istotnych statystycznie analizowanych zmiennych. Efektem badań jest wykazanie różnic pomiędzy kierunkami studiów we wskazanych obszarach.
The School of Higher Education provides education safety by meeting students’ academic, professional and personal aspirations. This article aims to analyze the educational needs of students choosing courses of study in the social sciences. The research group numbering 268 students were tested to find out their skills needs, preferences and reasons for choosing the university and faculty, including a relationship variables considered statistically significant. The result of the research is to demonstrate the differences between faculties in social sciences.

Bibliotekarstwo to nadal profesja, lecz niejednolita. Spoiwem ogólnym jest wiedza zawodowa, a naczelną powinnością: mediacja w komunikacji; obecnie – wielosemiotycznej. W zmodyfikowanej kontynuacji zadań pozostaje wspieranie wiedzy, informacji, edukacji oraz rekreacji. Obsługa nadal powinna być darmowa. Zadania zaś gruntownie znowelizowane to wspieranie intelektualizacji oraz społecznej integracji.Klamrą spinającą zawodową sprawność jest znajomość składników i procesów bibliotecznego zaplecza – w szczególności zasoboznawstwo, jak również umiejętności indeksacyjne i bibliograficzne oraz biegłość usługodawcza. Konieczne jest także świadomościowe nastawienie na wielokierunkową współpracę międzybiblioteczną. W stosunkowo nowym obszarze zawodowych wymagań mieści się jeszcze konstruowanie bezpośredniej oferty ponadusługowej oraz działanie na rzecz integracji otaczających środowisk.Modelowa koncepcja zawodowej biegłości powinna zakładać jej dwupoziomową strukturę. Na podstawowym poziomie pierwszym mieszczą się kwalifikacje i umiejętności uniwersalne, obligatoryjne w tej profesji dla wszystkich. Na poziomie wyższym lokuje się wielozakresowa specjalizacja. W wariantywnym zestawieniu już to kategorialna bądź procesualna albo przedmiotowa – z możliwością nałożenia się niektórych na siebie. Intensywnie realizowana automatyzacja różnych procesów bibliotecznych stwarza określone szanse, ale i zagrożenia.O przyszłości bibliotek i bibliotekarskiego zawodu rozstrzygną ogólnospołeczna użyteczność bibliotek, zachowanie ich instytucjonalnego charakteru oraz jakość zawodowego kształcenia. W Polsce wszystkie te czynniki podlegają destrukcji. Przetrwanie więc i rozwój bibliotekarstwa oraz bibliotekarskiej profesji w Polsce wymagają aktywnych przedsięwzięć bibliotecznej kadry. Ale nic takiego nie ma miejsca.
Though librarianship is still a valid profession, it has no doubt become a diversified one. What holds it together in the general terms is professional knowledge on the one hand and the underlying assignment, operation and mediation in communication, on the other. In the present circumstances, however, this mediation is of multi-semiotic nature. In thus modified continuation of assignments, what remains equally important is the supportive role and assistance of librarians in knowledge and science, information, education and leisure. Services rendered by libraries should retain their free of charge character, while the assignments should be thoroughly and profoundly amended and updated, including (to a greater degree) support of intellectualization and social integration.What complements professional efficiency is the knowledge of the components and processes of the library’s power base, in particular knowledge of resources, indexing and bibliographic skills and proficiency in the provision of services. Invariably, an awareness attitude towards multi-directional interlibrary cooperation reminds vital as ever. In addition, this relatively new area of professional requirements embrace a capability to construct direct library offers that go beyond the limits of and exceed the provision of regular services and library activity in favour of integration of surrounding environments.A model concept of professional proficiency should involve its two-tier structure. The one basic level includes qualifications and general skills, in this particular profession mandatory for all. The other, the upper tier, embraces multi-dimensional specialisation; in its variant combination, either categorial or in processual perspective, where it is still possible for some of these specialisations to overlap. Automation, intensely applied to a variety of different library processes, offers new chances, but at the same time carries a number of specific risks and dangers.Any foreseeable future of libraries and the profession of the librarian will then be determined by the social value and usefulness of libraries, preservation of their institutional nature and the quality of professional education. Regrettably, in Poland, all the above factors undergo alteration and no longer retain their original constituted form. As a result, the survival of librarianship, as well as its further development, needs a reaction and urgent and decisive action on the side of library staff. This, however, does not seem to be the case.

The quality of education is increasingly being measured less by the knowledge gained during schooling and more by the level of competence possessed by students at doing a particular job after completing their education. Target and process-planned curricula are being replaced more and more by competenceoriented curricula, especially in science and technology education, where competences, generally defined as the ability of an individual to do a job properly, are placed at the forefront. In these, skills are not understood primarily as cognitive skills (e.g. critical thinking), but mostly as skills in connection to psychomo torics. If competence is the desired criterion for educational quality, it can be easily established that suitable instruments and methods of measurement are needed for this kind of quality evaluation, which, however, are not yet available. This is why in the field of competences a special unified competences taxonomy was developed, based on different taxonomies for the cognitive and also affective and psychomotor fields. Additionally, suitable instrumentation was developed in this study. Its use was demonstrated in the example of elementary education in Slovenia in the field of science and technology education.

This article discusses the problem how to turn a professional into a creator as well as what methods, techniques, trainings, concepts, the kind of training organization should be used to go from professional training to obtain Master and craftsmanship right outside universities. In ancient European art schools, specialists were educated both in mastery and creativity in all forms. Nowadays we get specialist with knowledge, but our economy requires a creator, creativity and masters. The ability to create should be the basis of ability to work, otherwise in a constant exchange of goods the student is not able to keep his job or business. The skill of creativity is the basic skill of a modern job. Masters in modern and future economy should be geniuses rather than standard workers.
W artykule są rozpatrywane sposoby przeobrażenia zwykłego specjalisty w twórczego mistrza. Omawia się również jakie metody, techniki, szkolenia, koncepcje, rodzaj organizacji szkoleń powinny być stosowane oby można byłoby przejść od zwykłego szkolenia zawodowego do twórczego, w celu uzyskania mistrza i autora kreatywnego rzemiosła na uniwersytetach. Podobnie jak w starożytnych europejskich uczelniach plastycznych kształcili specjalistów zarówno mistrzostwa i kreatywności we wszystkich formach. Teraz mamy szeregowych specjalistów z wiedzą, ale gospodarka wymaga twórców, kreatywności i mistrzowstwa. Możliwość tworzenia twórczego i kreatywność powinny być podstawą zdolności do pracy, inaczej w ciągłej zmianie towarów uczeń nie potrafi osiągnąć skutecznych wyników pracy lub sukcesów biznesowych. Umiejętności kreatywności są podstawową umiejętnością nowoczesnej pracy. Mistrzowie w nowoczesnej i przyszłej gospodarce muszą być raczej geniuszami, a nie standardowymi szarymi pracownikami.

Aim. The aim of this research is to examine how critical thinking is reflected in Lithuanian higher education study programmes and what conceptual model(s) of critical thinking are used by study programme  makers. Methods. The subject of the study encompasses 8 higher education study programmes and their subjects. They are analysed based on a constructed conceptual framework, which defines 9 critical thinking skills and 18 critical thinking dispositions. Results. Analysis, evaluation and decision making are the most common critical thinking skills embedded in the goals of a study course and its learning outcomes. Explanation, interpretation and making inferences are less pronounced. Dispositions are listed rarely and in quite an indistinct way. Only open-mindedness and honesty have clear expression and statement in study programmes, though to a lesser extent. Dispositions such as concern for every person, inquisitiveness and flexibility are very fragmented. Conclusions. For the meantime, critical thinking is neither reflected equally and coherently in all parts of study programmes – course goals, content, described methods and learning outcomes – nor clear conceptual models of critical thinking can be detected. Research restrictions. The policy of the colleges and universities on providing the descriptions of study programmes and syllabuses publicly, limits their accessibility. Due to the sampling of study programmes, the research represents only selected study programmes. Practical application. The created framework may be used to study programmes’ development by introducing the defined critical thinking skills in the descriptions of the study programmes more systematically.

Implementation and realization of the Bologna Process assumptions mean a new approach to designing a specifically oriented educational process comprising also the practical students’ preparation to become a teacher, where the effects of education perform the main role.The publication depicts the effects of education description with the usage of B. S. Bloom’a taxonomy, the role of competence, and students’ activity. These components form the basis for application while constructing the systems of pragmatic education in higher education units.

Dom Rodziców to nowy typ wsparcia edukacyjnego dla rodzin zamieszkałych w Breście i jego okolicach, w północno–zachodnim rejonie Francji. Dom powstał w 2009 roku i jest otwarty dla wszystkich rodziców potrzebujących pomocy, wsparcia czy wysłuchania, w tym także dla tych znajdujących się w najtrudniejszych sytuacjach życiowych. Profesjonaliści nie serwują tam teorii dotyczących wychowywania dzieci, ale proponują schemat rodzicielstwa, którego celem jest umożliwienie rodzicom stworzenia dzieciom odpowiednich warunków życia i właściwej stymulacji. Projekt skupia się na wczesnej interwencji i profilaktyce, wykorzystując kompetencje rodziców i zachęcając do solidarności społecznej. Partnerami i interesariuszami projektu są władze lokalne i miejscowe organizacje.
The ‘Parents House’ is a new type of educative support for families in and around the city of Brest in North-West France. Launched in 2009, it is open to all parents in need of help, support or someone to listen to them, including those living in the most precarious situations. Professionals do not deliver a theory for bringing up children but propose a framework for parenthood aimed at enabling parents to provide satisfactory living conditions and stimulation for their children. The project is an early intervention and prevention facility that builds on parents’ competences and encourages social solidarity. Several local authorities and organisations are involved as partners and stakeholders.

Opis:
The authors deal with the research focused on the verification of school drama education in the pre-service education for primary school teachers. The research project period covered the years 1998-2003, as part of the research project of the above organisation with the title “New Opportunities in Teacher, Educator and Pupil Education for the Learning Society of the 21st century” (msm174500001 – with Assistant Professor Hana Lukášová as the Head Project Researcher). The project results can be split into the following areas: a) Verification of the drama education methods in the study subject titled Basics in professional practice b) The development of dialogue skills in drama games (role playing) and improvisations of students studying the drama education subject.
