    Opis:
    The article shows problems of trust in building, development and functioning of scientific units with reference to given R & D networks. Three networks of scientific units which have different origin, potential and activity profile are discussed. The article refers to and is a continuation of an earlier publication titled “Trust in R & D network of scientific units. The role of originator” published in a quarterly “Management Science”. Case studies in this article show the importance of trust in different phases of development of a scientific unit as a key factor influencing network activity and illustrate the influence of conditioning on its level.

    Opis:
    The European Union clearly emphasises the need to convert the European knowledge into market products and services with the aid of the R&D sector through stimulating transfer of knowledge and the removal of barriers to the commercialisation of new ideas. R&D activity has a positive impact on the development of regions and it might be the example illustrating successful cooperation between science and business. Scientific units and R&D institutions are becoming increasingly more open to the business sector and more often adapt their offer to the specific needs of companies. The paper aims at presenting research and development activity carried out in Lodz region, showing its current potential and determinants of its development. Particular attention will be paid to higher education institutions whose role and importance in the research and development sphere is growing.

    Przedmiot badań: Proces ewaluacji jednostek naukowych poza ich oceną umożliwia dokonanie przeglądu piśmiennictwa naukowego, opracowanie rankingów piśmiennictwa, a także ocenę aktualnego dorobku w aspekcie kolejnej ewaluacji. W artykule zaprezentowano informacje o polskim dorobku piśmienniczym jednostek naukowych sklasyfikowanych jako jednostki z grupy nauk prawnych. Tekst jest kontynuacją pracy, w której dokonano analizy dorobku jednostek ekonomicznych. Cel badawczy: Celem badania jest wskazanie najpopularniejszych w dziedzinie nauk prawnych czasopism, wydawnictw i konferencji naukowych oraz określenie ich znaczenia w kolejnym procesie ewaluacji (2022). Dokonano porównania do analogicznych aspektów w naukach ekonomicznych. Zwrócono uwagę na zmiany w przepisach w latach 2020–2021. Pozwala to na wyciągnięcie wstępnych wniosków dotyczących realizacji polityki naukowej w zakresie nauk prawnych. Metoda badawcza: Materiał opracowany został na podstawie danych z ankiet jednostek, które oceniane były w procesie parametryzacji w roku 2017. Stosując metody analityczne, wyodrębniono informacje o dorobku piśmienniczym pracowników jednostek naukowych z dziedziny nauk prawnych. Dane o czasopismach, wydawnictwach i konferencjach zostały uszeregowane metodą rankingowania. Wzięto pod uwagę różnorodne zapisy danych przez sprawozdających, które to zapisy zostały ujednolicone na potrzeby artykułu. Identyczna metoda została zastosowana w opublikowanym wcześniej tekście dotyczącym nauk ekonomicznych. Wyniki: Z analizy wynika, że część najcenniejszego dorobku piśmienniczego w badanej dyscyplinie straci znaczenie w kolejnej ewaluacji. Jednak nauk prawnych dotyczy to w mniejszym stopniu niż ekonomicznych. Zwrócono uwagę na konieczność dostosowania się do nowych zasad ewaluacji w celu podniesienia znaczenia dorobku naukowego oraz śledzenia na bieżąco zmian w przepisach prawnych i zawartości wykazów ministerialnych. Wskazano, że reprezentatywność analizowanych publikacji w dorobku naukowym badanych dyscyplin jest tylko częściowa.
    Background: The process of appraising scientific institutions provides the possibility to review and rank their scientific publications, and makes it possible to assess the current publications in the aspect of the next appraisal. The article analyzes the scientific publications of juridical scientific institutions . This text is a continuation of the work analyzing the achievements of economic units. Research purpose: The purpose of the research is to indicate the most popular journals, publishers, and scientific conferences in the juridical disciplines and defining their significance in the next appraisal in 2022. A comparison was made to analogous aspects in economic sciences. The changes in regulations in the years 2020–2021 were noted. It makes it possible to draw preliminary conclusions regarding the implementation of scientific policy in the field of juridical sciences. Methods: The material was developed on the basis of data from scientific institutions that were assessed in the parametric appraisal in 2017. Using analytical methods, information on the literary output of researchers from the juridical disciplines was extracted. Data on journals, publishers, and conferences were ranked. Various data records by the reporting agents were taken into account, which were unified for this work. The same methods were used in the previously published text on economics. Conclusions: The analysis shows that a large part of the most valuable literary output in the studied disciplines will lose its relevance in the next evaluation. However, it is less concerned with the legal sciences than with the economic sciences. Attention was drawn to the need to adapt to the new evaluation principles in order to raise the importance of scientific achievements and to follow changes in legal regulations and the contents of ministerial lists on an ongoing basis. It was indicated that the representativeness of the analyzed publications in the scientific achievements of the studied disciplines is only partial.

    Opis:
    Recently, in our country a significant change in the perception of the role of universities and scientific units in the economic area has been observed. It is often being estimated that the strengthening of the cooperation between business sectors' and scientific units not only may improve economic development but also eliminate negative phenomenon in the employment market. The Podlaskie and The Warmińsko-Mazurskie Provinces are located in the eastern part of Poland and their poor development abilities result from their historical background and poor economic potential. Taking into consideration a certain degree of backward infrastructure, the abilities to keep up with other regions are significantly poorer. One of the most important factors shaping region's potential and influencing its future development is cooperation between the private sector and scientific units. The level of cooperation is still insufficient in comparison with other European countries, though there has been done a lot in this area. Satisfactory cooperation between these subjects may be the key element in creating the long-term regional competitive advantage. In this article, the author made the analysis of the initiatives connected with strenthening the cooperation between private units and scientific units of the the Podlaskie and the Warmińsko-Mazurskie Provinces.
