Opis:
In Poland, when designing, constructing and reconstructing gas networks, the regulations contained in the Regulation of the Minister of Economy of 26 April 2013 on technical conditions to be met by gas networks and their location apply (Journal of Laws 2013 item 640). The regulation regarding the materials used for the construction of gas pipelines allows for steel and polyethylene. Polyethylene can be used to build gas pipelines with a maximum working pressure of 1.0 MPa MOP. Construction of gas pipelines above this pressure is therefore carried out exclusively using steel pipes. In the pressure range up to and including 1.6 MPa, polyamide PA 12 pipes can be used. Requirements for piping systems built of PA polyamide are specified in the standards of the ISO 16486 Plastics piping systems for the supply of gaseous fuels – Unplasticized polyamide (PA-U) piping systems with fusion jointing and mechanical jointing. These standards do not provide guidelines for the design, construction and operation of gas pipelines located in mining damage areas. This article is devoted to the assessment of the possibility of using polyamide PA12 pipes for the construction of gas pipelines in mining damage areas. The article pre- sents a developed research methodology that takes into account ground deformations occurring in mining damage areas causing longitudinal and bending stresses. The developed test methodology allows to assess the influence of loads and impacts on the strength of pipelines made of polyamide PA12. The pressure results obtained during the test at the yield point p (Re) were compared with the results obtained for the samples not subjected to bending. The results obtained from the conducted tests confirmed that PA12 pipes and their electrofusion welded joints and mechanical joints (PA/STAL) did not show a decrease in the strength of pipes subjected to longitudinal and bending deformations. This confirms that their use for the construction of gas pipelines in mining damage areas, in mining areas up to category IV, is possible. If it is possible to use butt-welded joints, it is necessary to conduct further tests and analyses to confirm their resistance to axial forces. The use of polyamide piping systems for gas transmission in Poland requires changes in the law. The research and results obtained as part of the work may constitute another step towards the introduction of new legal regulations.
