Miłość w małżeństwie stanowi podstawę funkcjonowania tak małżonków, jak i całej rodziny. Ona sama będąc inicjatorką tego, co pociąga, urzeka, zwraca uwagę, rodzi nadzieję, budzi oczekiwania, domaga się rozwoju. Jest wewnętrzną postawą ogarniającą każdego człowieka, który pragnie być darem dla innych. Ona czyni, że człowiek czuje się szczęśliwym, ale o to szczęście musi dbać. Szczęście w rodzinie uwarunkowane jest wieloma czynnikami, m.in. świadomością, że małżeństwo jest relacją najważniejszą, umiejętnością dobrej komunikacji, właściwymi granicami, aktywnością i elastycznością oraz przestrzeganiem zasad moralnych, a także nierozerwalnością małżeństwa, wartością dialogu, wychowywaniem dzieci. Wskazane treści zostaną zaznaczone w niniejszym artykule.
Love in a marriage is a fundation of fuctioning both spouses and a whole family. The family is a prime mover of what pay attention, bring hope, arouse expectations, demand progress. It is an inner need which overhelms each man who wants to be a gift for everybody. A family make a man feels happy but he needs to care for it. Happieness in a family is based on a lot of factors, for example awareness that in marriage the most important is relationship, good communication, appriopriate borders, engagement and flexibility and code of ethics or. values as well as indissolubility of marriage, a value of dialogue, parenting. Such contents are emphasized in the article.

Love is an important integrating factor of the marital-family life. It is not a legal entity; however, it plays a very important role in the life of man. Without love spouses are deprived of stimuli which contribute greatly and enable to achieve goals set for the marriage. When there is no love between fiancées, one of them might become alienated, they may also be unwilling to get married as result, which in turn would lead to declaring their marriage invalid in both cases. Marital love is crucial to ensure the expression of ma-rital harmony between husband and wife properly and to perform conjugal and parental duties in a responsible way. The Roman Catholic Church, from the beginning of its apostolic activity, has protected the value of marriage and family with constant prayer, special concern and the blessing. Marital love has a primary importance in the entire community of life of a mar-ried couple. It is essential for their mutual and full development. Love is an important integrating factor of the marital life. Marital love facilitates the execution of tasks that spouses and then parents have to do. Excluding the above-mentioned goals set for the marriage as well as defects in the agreement between the spouses result in the fact the marriage is invalid. Responsible marriage is inseparable of love, which should be the basis for the conjugal life of the couple. There is no denying that love of the spouses, whose desire is to live together, contributes greatly to the marital harmony between husband and wife and stimulates mutual devotion and acceptance of the couple.

Artykuł zmierza w kierunku filozoficznego zdefiniowania rodziny. Jego celem jest zasygnalizowanie pewnych narzędzi teoretycznych, umożliwiających mówienie o rodzinie językiem maksymalnie ogólnym oraz wartościowanie dotyczących jej coraz gwałtowniejszych przemian. Autor odwołuje się przede wszystkim do pewnych intuicji z filozoficznej antropologii (zwłaszcza z kręgu personalizmu i filozofii spotkania). Indywidualną tożsamość osoby pojmuje jako dynamiczną wartość ukierunkowaną na własny nieskończony wzrost. Takie jej rozumienie pozwala na uzasadnienie koniecznego związku pomiędzy trzema konstytutywnymi dla rodziny momentami: miłością, małżeństwem i rodzicielstwem.
The article is heading in the direction of the philosophical definition of family. The aim is to flag up certain theoretical tools that talking about family the maximum overall language and allow valuation of her increasingly violent change. The author refers primarily to some of the insights of philosophical anthropology (especially from the circle of personalism and the philosophy of dialogue). The individual identity of the person is understood as a dynamic value oriented towards its infinite growth. Such her understanding enables us to justify the necessary connection between the three constitutive moments for the family: love, marriage and parenthood.

Miłość jest naturalnym środowiskiem zrodzenia nowego życia, ale także warunkiem jego wzrostu i rozwoju. Wspólnota rodzinna, dla której fundamentem jest wspólnota małżeńska, może powstać i wzrastać właśnie dzięki miłości, której początek i trwanie zapewnia miłość obojga małżonków. Kryzys małżeństwa i duża liczba rozwodów, a tym samym rozbitych rodzin, odsłania dramat wielu dzieci, których rodzice, własnymi decyzjami rezygnacji z wierności przyrzeczeniu małżeńskiemu, pozbawili bezpiecznego środowiska wzrostu. Dzieci są dla rodziców darem, powierzonym im przez Boga, ale jednocześnie zadaniem – wychowywania i formowania do życia w pełni i realizowania powołania do miłości. Miłość małżonków, która czerpie z Miłości Boga, stwarza odpowiednie warunki do tego, aby to zadanie wypełnić. Jeśli zatem w postawie małżonków brakuje wierności miłości zadeklarowanej w przysiędze małżeńskiej, to konsekwencje takich postaw i działań dosięgają nie tylko ich samych, ale także ich dzieci, krzywdząc je i stając się formą przemocy.
Love is the natural environment for the procreation of new life, but also a condition for its growth and development. The family community, for which marital community is the foundation, can develop and grow thanks to the love, the beginning and duration provided by the love of spouses. The crisis of marriage and high divorce rates, and thus broken families, reveal the drama of many children whose parents own decision to resign fidelity to the marriage vow deprived their children of a safe growth environment. Children are a gift for parents, entrusted to them by God, but at the same time they are a task – to educate and form children to live fully and to realise their vocation to love. The love of spouses, which draws from the Love of God, creates the right conditions to ensure the fulfillment of this task. If, therefore, the attitude of spouses doesn't have fidelity of love declared in the marriage vows, the consequences of such attitudes and actions impact not only themselves but also their children, injuring them and becoming a form of violence.

Autor wychodzi od stwierdzenia, że w przeciwieństwie do myśli starożytnej i średniowiecznej myśl nowożytna za pierwotny i naturalny stan ludzkiego współistnienia uznała konflikt (Hobbes, Marx, Sartre). W antropologii biblijnej, od której wychodzi Jan Paweł II w swojej adhortacji Familiaris consortio, pierwotna prawda człowieka nie jest wyrażona w modelu konfliktu, lecz przeciwnie – konflikt powstaje w wyniku zdrady pierwotnej prawdy, którą jest jedność kobiety i mężczyzny. W biblijnej wizji relacji międzyludzkich sytuacją wyjściową, doświadczeniem, w którym wyraża się pierwotna prawda o człowieku, nie jest zatem relacja konfliktu, lecz relacja mężczyzna-kobieta, w której dwie osoby potwierdzają swoje człowieczeństwo nie poprzez poddanie drugiej osoby swojej własnej woli, lecz poprzez dar z siebie, który składają sobie nawzajem. W antropologii adhortacji Familiaris consortio małżeństwo i rodzina są uprzywilejowanym miejscem, w którym człowiek doświadcza przynależności i daru.
The author starts from the statement, that contrary to the ancient and medieval thought, the modern thought considered conflict as the original and natural state of human coexistence (Hobbes, Marx, Sartre). In the biblical anthropology, which constitutes a point of reference for John Paul II in his exhortation Familiaris Consortio, the original truth of man is not expressed in the model of conflict, but on the contrary, conflict arises as a result of the betrayal of the original truth, which is the unity of man and woman. In the biblical vision of human relationships, therefore, the starting situation, the experience in which the primordial truth of man is expressed, is not a relationship of conflict, but a man-woman relationship in which two persons affirm their humanity not by submitting the other to their own will, but by the gift of themselves that they make to one another. In the anthropology of the exhortation Familiaris Consortio, marriage and family are the privileged place where human beings experience belonging and gift.

Małżeństwo to wspólnota mężczyzny i kobiety, związanych ze sobą specyficzną, charakterystyczną dla nich więzią, polegającą na wolnym i nieodwołalnym darze z siebie. Wspólnota ta jest trwała, zobiektywizowana oraz otwarta na przekazywanie życia. Jest ona dziełem i darem Boga. To dzięki Jego zamysłowi małżeństwo i rodzina ma transcendentną z Nim relację. Dokonuje się to w czasie zawierania sakramentalnego przymierza małżeńskiego. To wówczas małżonkowie zapraszają Boga do swojego życia, co skutkuje działaniem Ducha Świętego w duszach nowożeńców oraz jest szczególnym zaproszeniem ze strony Jezusa do Jego naśladowania, tak by życie małżeńskie dojrzewało do świętości w codzienności. Małżeństwo sakramentalne ma głęboki sens i znaczenie dla jakości życia małżonków, dla wspólnoty Kościoła, jak również dla społeczeństwa. Stąd też wydaje się niezwykle istotne odkrywanie na nowo bogactwa sakramentu małżeństwa i proklamowanie go.
Marriage is the communion of a man and a woman who are united by a specific bond that is unique to them and consists in a free and irrevocable gift of oneself. This communion is constant, objective and open to the transmission of life. This communion is the work and gift of God. Thanks to His intention marriage and the family are in a transcendent relation to Him established when the sacramental marriage covenant is made. It is then that the spouses invite God into their lives and the Holy Spirit acts in the souls of the newlyweds. It is also an invitation from Jesus to follow him so that the married couple can mature to holiness in everyday life. Sacramental marriage has a deep sense and meaning for the quality of life of the spouses, for the community of the Church and for the society. That is why it seems extremely important to discover in a new way the richness of the sacrament of marriage and proclaim it.

Marriage and family seen as a “community of life and love” encourage, from the perspective of today developing theology of communion, to multiple reflection, research and studies. This study treats of only few issues among many which require thorough reflection and analyzes. Issues related with theology of marriage communion and family are in particular referred to the mystery of the Trinity and the Church. The theme: “loneliness of man” in the context of such an event like marriage and family is one of the discussed issues. The whole study is closed by three specific issues which are a kind of tension posed by the contemporary world and with whom mankind must inevitably confront in the practice of human life. A man is created and made able to form relationships in the communion. These issues are: education in the field of emotions, human carnality and “narcissism of partners.”
Małżeństwo i rodzina widziane jako „wspólnota życia i miłości” zachęcają w świetle współcześnie rozwijanej teologii komunii do wielu refleksji, badań i opracowań. Niniejsze studium podejmuje niektóre zagadnienia spośród wielu, które domagają się wnikliwych przemyśleń i analiz. Przybliżone zatem zostaną kwestie umiejscowienia teologii komunii małżeństwa i rodziny w odniesieniach szczególnie do tajemnicy Trójcy Świętej i Kościoła. Podjęty zostaje także temat „samotności człowieka” w kontekście wydarzenia, jakim jest małżeństwo i rodzina. Całość przedstawionego opracowania zamykają trzy szczegółowe zagadnienia, będące swoistego rodzaju napięciem niesionym przez współczesność, a z którymi w nieunikniony sposób musi zderzyć się praktyka życia człowieka powołanego i uzdolnionego do tworzenia relacji komunijnych. Te zagadnienia to: wychowanie w dziedzinie emocji, cielesność człowieka i „narcyzm partnerów”.

This article is a scientific attempt to look at the problems of marriage and the family not only through reflection of theoretical nature, but also in the context of conducted student research. The first part of the article contains the theoretical foundations of empirical research by showing a rich perspective of scientific theories and concepts regarding the current condition and scientific understanding of such institutions as marriage and family. For the needs of this work, a systemic model of marriage and family was adopted. The family is an example of a natural system in the aspect of interpersonal relations (individual and social). The second part of the article is an analysis and interpretation of the obtained research results in terms of quantity and quality. The analysis is exploratory in nature based on the answers obtained to the questions contained in the research tool, which was the survey. Then the article contains an extensive summary and specific conclusions. The thesis is not only a compendium of some knowledge obtained in research, but also an ordered scientific concept. At the same time, the article has a pragmatic value because it can serve as an important, specific material for researchers of marriage and family issues, for students of various fields of study and for spouses, parents who are personally interested in these issues.

Doroczne przemówienie do Roty Rzymskiej wygłoszone 27 stycznia 2023 r. na otwarcie nowego roku sądowego Franciszek poświęcił wartości i znaczeniu małżeństwa w życiu Kościoła. Ukazując pochodzenie tego wyłącznego i nierozerwalnego związku mężczyzny i kobiety z ustanowienia Bożego, podkreślił, że rodzina (oparta na małżeństwie) jest „drogą Kościoła”. Ta fascynująca wspólnota całego życia, nawet niesakramentalna, jest prawdziwym darem Boga. Ojciec Święty zwraca uwagę na potrzebę pielęgnowania miłości małżeńskiej, która wymaga ciągłego oczyszczania i dojrzewania. Znaczące jest akcentowanie przez Franciszka konieczności ciągłego odkrywania trwałości małżeństwa jako „węzła”, który  nie powinien kojarzyć się jakimkolwiek narzuceniem lub ciężarem, jest bowiem ,,więzią miłości”. Następca Benedykta XVI kładzie wreszcie nacisk na konieczność rozwijania  duszpasterstwa przedmałżeńskiego i duszpasterstwa rodzin, co powinno pomagać nupturientom oraz małżonkom w dojrzewaniu ich wzajemnej miłości, przy czym niezbędna jest tutaj pomoc poradnictwa  psychologicznego.
In his annual address to the Roman Rota on January 27, 2023, at the opening of the new Judicial Year, Francis dedicated the value and importance of marriage to the life of the Church. Showing the origin of this exclusive and inseparable union of man and woman by divine institution, he emphasized that the family (based on marriage) is “the way of the Church”. This fascinating community of all life, even non-sacramental, is a true gift from God. The Holy Father draws attention to the need to cultivate conjugal love, which requires constant purification and maturation. It is significant that Francis stresses the need to constantly discover the permanence of marriage as a “knot”, which should not be associated with any imposition or burden, because it is a “bond of love”. The successor of Benedict XVI finally emphasizes the need to develop pre-marriage pastoral care and pastoral care for families, which should help prospective couples and spouses in maturing their mutual love, with the help of psychological counseling being necessary here.

Family in the Church’s teaching is often referred to as a sanctuary of life and love. Love and life tell us about the identity of the family, her task and mission, which is to meet. The service life of the family is done by caring for the life of each of its members from the moment of conception until natural death, at every stage of its life and regardless of physical condition. The service life of the family also applies to care for the moral and spiritual life, as well as the perspective of a holy life and eternal life. The service life and love in the family is also the proclamation of the Gospel of love and life, to which the family is called, through the testimony of everyday life and the proclamation of her mouth, first within the family, and then also to other families. The proclamation of the Gospel of love and life for the Christian family is something natural, as flows from its identity as a community of life and love.

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie małżeństwa jako drogi prowadzącej do komunii z Bogiem. Dlatego treść adhortacji Jana Pawła II „Familiaris consortio” została poddana analizie. Cała refleksja został podzielony na kilka części wzorowanych na odpowiednich częściach adhortacji. Na początku zostało przedstawione powołanie do małżeństwa w Bożym planie, następnie zaprezentowano poszczególne zadania małżeństwa oraz realizację tych zadań. Wyniki przeprowadzonych badań zostały podane we wnioskach.
The objective of the article is to present marriage as a way leading toward communion with God. Therefore, the contents of the exhortation of John Paul II entitled Familiaris consortio has been submitted to analysis. The entire reflection has been divided into several parts modeled on the respective parts of the exhortation. Firstly, vocation to marriage in God's plan has been presented followed subsequently by particular tasks of marriage together with the realization of these tasks. The findings of the conducted research are given in the conclusions. It has been revealed, among others, that God's intention for marriage can be recognized as a basis to acknowledge marriage and the family as a sure way leading the spouses toward communion with God. Moreover, it has been stated that John Paul II, unfolding God's intention for marriage together with the tasks standing before marriage and the realization of these tasks, concurrently pointed out that without love the fulfillment of God's plans towards marriage and the family would be impossible. Thereby it can be considered that undertaking the vocation to marriage is synonymous with entering on a definite and, at the same time, specific way leading to full communion with God.

Cel: Współczesne związki małżeńskie konstytuowane są w oparciu o dużo większą wolność w rozumieniu małżeństwa jako społecznego obowiązku, autonomię obojga partnerów oraz – w największej mierze – stanowią zalegalizowaną relację uwarunkowaną potrzebami uczuciowymi. Podobne założenia przyświecają kohabitacji, z wyłączeniem jej formalizacji w sensie prawnym. Metody: Autorka artykułu stara się przybliżyć podobieństwa i różnice pomiędzy kohabitacją a małżeństwem bez próby oceny, która z tych relacji jest bardziej wartościowa. Wyniki: W artykule przedstawiono i omówiono założenia teoretyczne, uregulowania prawne oraz modele kohabitacji i małżeństwa. Wykazano różnice oraz podobieństwa pomiędzy małżeństwem i kohabitacją. Wnioski: W przekonaniu autorki artykułu rozważania nad wyższością małżeństwa wobec kohabitacji nie są zasadne. Wartościowanie takie utrudnia zresztą wiele czynników. Jednym z nich jest brak dookreślenia, czym jest związek konsensualny, jakie są jego ramy czasowe, jak wygląda w nim kwestia rodzicielstwa, podziału obowiązków domowych etc.
Aim: Modern marriages are concluded based on much greater freedom in perceiving marriage as a social obligation, autonomy of both partners and – to the largest extent – they form a legalized relationship preconditioned by emotional needs. Similar characteristics are part of cohabitation, with the exception of its formalization in the legal sense. Methods: The author of the article strives to illustrate the similarities and differences between cohabitation and marriage without attempting to assess which of these relationships is more valuable. Results: The author of the article presents and discusses theoretical assumptions, legal regulations and models of cohabitation and marriage. Differences and similarities between marriage and cohabitation were shown. Conclusions: In the opinion of the author of the article, reflections on the superiority of marriage to cohabitation are not justified. Such an evaluation is stymied by many factors. One of them is the lack of precise definition of a consensual relationship, what its time frames are, what the issue of parenthood looks like in it, what is the division of home duties etc.

Niniejszy artykuł zawiera analizy wybranych wierszy dwojga poetów: kobiety i mężczyzny, żony i męża. Nietypowa sytuacja twórcza, jaką stanowi małżeństwo poetyckie, stanowić może ciekawą perspektywę badawczą. W artykule omówione zostały zawarte w wierszach przedstawienia tematów miłości, rodziny, domu i małżeństwa. Rozważania oparte są głównie na tomiku Cztery twarze domu. Antologia rodzinna, którego tytuł zaprasza czytelnika do zatrzymania się nad problematyką domu i rodziny. Autorka odwołuje się przy tym do kategorii autobiografizmu, powołując się między innymi na prace Małgorzaty Czermińskiej i Andrzeja Lama. W analizach opisuje podobieństwa i różnice wyrażone w wierszach Ferenc i Jankowskiego i stara się ukazać je jako poetyckie świadectwa ludzkiego indywidualnego przeżywania świata, które nie wyklucza porozumienia i bliskości. W wierszach obojga poetów ujawnia się, w odmienny sposób obrazowana, konieczność życia z niemożliwymi do zrozumienia doświadczeniami: bólem i miłością.
The article contains reflections about selected poems of two poets: a woman and a man, a wife and a husband. This untypical life situation brings an interesting perspective to research. The article treats of how both poets describe subjects of love, family, home and marriage. Considerations are based especially on the book Cztery twarze domu. Antologia rodzinna, which title and construction encourage to look at this question. Comparing writings of people that are close to each other requires referring to the autobiographic matter. The author refers to the works of, inter alia, Małgorzata Czermińska and Andrzej Lam. The article also brings up the question of what the homes, which are simultaneously one home, are. The author describes differences and similarities which are expressed in poems by Ferenc and Jankowski, and tries to show them as poetic testimony of abundance of human individuality. The variety doesn’t prevent a union between people, but it is an opportunity of conversation and understanding distinct ways of thinking about life and world. In the article, the author analyses poems in which two different attitudes are noticeable, but both result from a similar reason – the necessity to live with incomprehensible pain and love.

Artykuł porusza temat rodziny w "Kazaniach do Ludu" świętego Augustyna w perspektywie jego nauczania o ‘porządu miłości’ (ordo amoris). Różne formy ludzkiej miłości znajdują swoje uzasadnienie tylko w relacji do Boga jako Najwyższego Dobra. W tej perspektywie, miłość rodzinna, aby się nie zagubić w pozornej lub falszywej „miłości bliźniego”, potrzebuje Boga jako ostatecznego horyzontu swej miłości.
The article treats of the family in St. Augustine’s "Sermons to the People", from the perspective of his teaching on ‘the order of love’ (ordo amoris). Different forms of human love find their justification in relation to God as Supreme Good. In this perspective, the love of family, lest it be lost in a deceptive or false “love of neighbour,” has need of God as its ultimate horizon.
