The primary objective of this paper is to show where the engineering of risk management is placed and how its implementation has been tried in multinational companies in automotive industry from Romania. A large number of companies don’t use a strategy to avoid the engineering risk in their design products. The main reason is not because these companies haven’t heard about standards for risk management such as ISO 31000; the problem is that the business units which were summed up, have just set up a risk list at the beginning of the project, without any follow up. The purpose of this article is to create an implementation risk tracking in automotive industry companies in Romania, due to a change request from customers according to supply companies within the quality process, in the research and development phase.

The global objective of this paper is to analyze engineering risk of series production in Automotive Industries based on problems caused by supplied chain of products when a strong process to avoid engineering risk problems is missing. Automotive Industries Companies in Romania use just some theoretical tools like as D-FMEA (Design – Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) for engineering risk in their design products in ADAS domein. The main causes appear after the production starts and sometimes it brings the production to a halt. The risks reveal details of different levels and high risk can be caused by unforeseen challenges during of series production. On this paper, the method for engineering risk of management used is based on project management guide by Paul Roberts adapted to causes identification and risk plan.

Opis:
The paper concerns a risk assessment and management methodology in critical infrastructures. The aim of the paper is to present researches on risk management within the experimentation tool based on the OSCAD software. The researches are focused on interdependent infrastructures where the specific phenomena, like escalating and cascading effects, may occur. The objective of the researches is to acquire knowledge about risk issues within interdependent infrastructures, to assess the usefulness of the OSCAD-based risk manager in this application domain, and to identify directions for further R&D works. The paper contains a short introduction to risk management in critical infrastructures, presents the state of the art, and the context, plan and scenarios of the performed validation experiments. Next, step by step, the validation is performed. It encompasses two collaborating infrastructures (railway, energy). It is shown how a hazardous event impacts the given infrastructure (primary and secondary eects) and the neighbouring infrastructure. In the conclusions the experiments are summarized, the OSCAD software assessed and directions of the future works identified.

Internal auditing plays an important role in the efficiency and effectiveness of internal control system in organizations. Internal auditing should provide correct information to management about effectiveness of risk management and internal controls including compliance with organizational laws and regulations. At this time, there are different types of internal auditing, which primarily accept and apply procedures such as testing transactions, testing accuracy and reliability of accounting books and financial reports, the accuracy, reliability and timeliness of control reports and testing compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. However, none of these offer an opinion about qualitative aspects of organizational management, especially risk management. Therefore, it is necessary to redefine internal auditing and to determine the new scopes for it in order to ensure from adoption of modern risk management tools, adequ- acy and effectiveness of these tools and also helping organizational units to reduce risks. These changes in focus and attention of internal auditing are possible by revision in attitudes to audit and changing it to risk-based internal auditing. Regarding this matter, the main purpose of this study is to provide a␣comprehensive and practical model for implementing and using risk-based internal auditing in companies and organizations. This model is designed based on theoretical principles presented in the literature and relevant research as well as professional experience of the authors. Also, the designed model has been implemented in one of the large Iranian organizations, which increases the value and applicability of the model.

In accordance with the requirements of the CSM (Common Safety Methods) in terms of risk evaluation and assessment, a company which changed the railway system and recognized this change as significant as regards security can use one of the three risk acceptability principles. Change can be technical, operational and organizational. This can be done through the codes of conduct, similar reference system(s) or explicit risk assessment. If the system is new and can generate new risks, the method of explicit risk assessment should be used. In this type of risk evaluation is necessary to identify scenarios and the related safety measures. The article presents a review of methods for explicit risk assessment and their critical analysis in terms of their efficiency in the process of qualifying risk acceptability in the event of a significant change in the rail system. The article focuses on assessing the effectiveness of using one of the risk acceptance principles, namely explicit risk assessment.

Research background: The managers have a key position in process of management risk. The managers are able to implement the risk management process in the companies with an emphasis on preventing the company crises using the appropriate methods and tools for the early identification of the changes if the entrepreneurial environment develops negatively. Does a manager have enough knowledge and awareness about the potential risk sources in company? Purpose of the article: The essence of this article is to assess the sources of the market, economic, financial, operational, HR, security and legal risk depending on the rate of implementing the risk management process in the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Methods: We realized the risk assessment process on the basis of evaluations by 487 man-agers who gave their opinions to selected risks and their sources in the SMEs in Slovakia. Subsequently, we utilized the methods and tools of the mathematical statistics (descriptive statistics, comparison, Z-score for 2 population proportions, Chi-squared test for 5 x 2 contingency table). Findings & Value added: The strongest dependence perceived by the SME-entrepreneurs lies between the development of the tax and insurance burdens as the source of the economic risk and the criterion of the ?level of the risk management in the company?. The overall results of the empirical research underline the significance and importance of dealing with the assessment of the key risks and their sources in the Slovak SMEs. The results having been processed are the basic material for the professional public and other organizations whose effort is to help the companies in an effective implementation of the risk management process in the Slovak enterprises.

Opis:
The authors analyse the standardisation of risk management as an effective tool for the safety of design solutions in residential construction. The analysed regulatory documentation answers the question of achieving an acceptable level of risk. Within the framework of improving environmental management, the use of specific penalties looks quite natural. However, the primary purpose of ISO 14001 is to form a responsible attitude toward the environment and natural resources as the most crucial assets of economic activity. The article raises the issue that domestic standards cannot thoroughly guide risk analysts due to their lack of development and inconsistency with ISO 31000:2018 and ISO 14001:2016. It is necessary to develop a unique approach to risk assessment, de facto describing the interaction of different scenarios, which will ensure an increase in the environmental and economic effects in the field of housing safety.

Purpose: reasons for writing the paper is to present, the optimal procedure to manage of risk and Risk Assessment procedures on board sea-going vessels. Design/methodology/approach: an analysis of implemented Risk Assessment procedures on board sea-going vessels various shipping companies. Findings: found that approach to risk management and requirements to perform Risk Assessment are varied between shipping companies and sometime varied between vessels in the same shipping company. Research limitations/implications: management of risk based on Risk Assessment to be simplify and unified. Practical implications: suggestion is given to unify procedures for Risk Assessment. Social implications: reduction of risk to happen undesired events and mitigations of hazards associated with day to day operation of sea-going vessels. Originality/value: recommendation to shipping companies for modification of Risk Assessments procedures where is necessary to improve safety on board.

Risk assessment in the enterprise is one of the stages of the risk management. There are many methods to estimate individual risk sources. Assessment of the risk of using risk maps allows you to bring all the risks the companies on one platform and allows you to compare them. The purpose of this article is to introduce the reader to the risk management issues in the enterprise, and present the advantages and disadvantages of a mixed approach to risk assessment. Risk assessment in the enterprise is one of the stages of the risk management process. There are many methods to estimate individual risk sources. Assessment of the risk of using risk maps allows you to bring all the risks the companies on one platform and allows you to compare them.

Opis:
Risk is an inherent element of business operations. In the case of production enterprises, the risk can be considered in the area of material, machine, man and process organization. PN ISO 31000:2018 recommends integrating the risk management system with other management systems within a company, pointing to the significant role of understanding the external and internal context of the organization and identifying the needs of stakeholders. The risk management process consists of two steps: identification and analysis affecting the risk factors and quantitative measurement of its level. The article proposes a risk management model for a production enterprise, making a theoretical analysis. The proposed model and procedure are based on the guidelines of PN ISO 31000:2018. The proposed procedure for risk management includes the stage of hazard identification in a selected area, setting criteria and levels of admissibility of individual threats, risk analysis and evaluation of risk levels in relation to the adopted criteria.

Information resources, as one of the basic assets of enterprises determine a market success of organization and keeping its competitiveness. Therefore, it’s necessary to construct appropriate system in organization, which guarantee information security before threats. The fundamental element of the information security sys stem in the enterprise is the risk in management. In the article the results of risk analysis of information security in the chosen industrial enterprise was presented.

In the article the pivotal issues related to information security which it is processed and stored in the ICT systems and network was presented. The categorization of incidents of the telecommunication security was elaboratem and their main causes of occurrence was indicated. Besides in this article the significant role of the risk analysis in the process to prevent threats of information security was pointed.
