    Opis:
    Theft and devastation of railway infrastructure are one of the most important factors that affect the safety of the railway transport system. In Poland, the railway transported 245.1 million passengers and 243.6 million tons of cargo in 2021, so it is extremely important to ensure the maximum possible safety standards. Theft and devastation of railway infrastructure contribute to significant material damage to railway network managers. The costs of rebuilding railway equipment are estimated at millions of zlotys every year. They also influence the proper functioning of railway traffic. Due to this phenomenon, there are delays of passenger and freight trains, the total of which amounted to over 100,000 minutes in 2021. Therefore, the effects of such hooligan acts also affect passengers and commercial customers of the railways. The article is an attempt to describe the impact of theft and devastation of railway infrastructure on its safety and the operation of railway lines in Poland. By analyzing the available statistical data and using the CSM method, as well as applying certain simplifications, it was possible to determine the approximate level of risk using techniques used in practice. Based on the adopted risk reference levels, a systematic reduction in both the probability of occurrence of negative phenomena and their consequences was observed.

    The most important piece of road infrastructure is bridges. Wooden bridges have advanced constantly during the past decades. The trend began in Scandinavian countries but has also now gained significant ground in Russia. This research studies experimental endurance potential of the joints of the wooden beam while considering the coefficient of asymmetry of the cycle, which corresponds to the actual operating conditions. Performance analysis of the composite bars is carried out based on the experiment; the development of a special methodology for calculating the joints of wooden elements with the dowel plates for their better endurance is also introduced in this paper. The results of experimental studies on the performance of bending composite wooden bridge bars based on dowel plates operating under cyclic influences thus determine the endurance limit of wood for composite wooden bridge beams based on dowel plates. The calculation technique and interdependence of the endurance coefficient affecting the asymmetry coefficient of the bent composite wooden bridge bars on the dowel plates under cyclic loading are considered. The experimental data on the endurance of composite wooden bridge beams have been obtained, and separate analysis has been made of the compounds under cyclic loading performance; a method has been developed for calculating the bent composite wooden bridge bars reinforced by the dowel plates under cyclic influences.

    The paper presents various ways of protection from traffic noise used in railway infrastructure in Poland. The sources of noise in rail and tram transport were discussed. Also commonly found solutions on the railway network were analyzed such as noise barriers and rail dampers. Modern tram surfaces have been presented as one of the noise protection methods in the tram infrastructure. In the tram infrastructure a noise protection method was presented in the form of tram track lubricators on sharp curves. In addition, the effectiveness of noise protection methods was assessed on the basis of tests and research.
    W artykule zaprezentowano sposoby ochrony przed hałasem komunikacyjnym stosowane w infrastrukturze szynowej na terenie Polski. Omówiono jakie są źródła hałasu w transporcie kolejowym i tramwajowym. Przeanalizowano rozwiązania powszechnie spotykane na sieci kolejowej takie jak ekrany akustyczne i tłumiki szynowe. W ramach infrastruktury tramwajowej przedstawiono metodę ochrony przed hałasem w postaci smarownic torowych na łukach o małych promieniach. Dodatkowo omówiono nowoczesne nawierzchnie tramwajowe, które mogą redukować hałas. Na koniec dokonano oceny skuteczności metod ochrony przed hałasem w infrastrukturze tramwajowej na podstawie testów i badań.

    Railway infrastructure access rates, as an important element of the costs affecting the services offered to railway clients, are an object of interest in the context of transport sustainability and the promotion of railway transport. The pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus has spawned a crisis that has affected the railway sector in a significant way. In October 2020, the European Commission published a Regulation establishing measures for a sustainable rail market in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. The European Commission’s initiative of introducing a Regulation allowing for derogations from existing laws, as well as satisfying the urgent needs of the railway sector for the duration of the effects of the pandemic, may be a significant step towards a permanent leveling of the playing field for all of the branches competing in the transport sector. This article presents information in terms of the legal regulations concerning the charges for infrastructure use and outlines the assumptions of Regulation 2020/1429 (EU) of the European Parliament and of the Council.

Jest to specjalistyczne oprogramowanie cieszące się największą popularnością w branży kolejowej na świecie. W artykule opisano funkcje i możliwości programu podczas projektowania transportu kolejowego. Zaprezentowano także jego skuteczność w procesie sporządzenia projektu regulacji osi na przykładzie konkretnego odcinka toru.
    The recent years brought an immense improvement in the modernization and precision of the measuring methods. Such tendency has been mainly fuelled by development of the IT and electronic technology by application of a modern software enabling automation and rapidity in sorting out the faced problems. The issue of a main concern in projection of the Railway Infrastructure involves the methods of optimization and accelerating the movement of trains. The purpose of the article is to present in a detailed way the functionalities of the most common tool in doing so - software developed by the Bentley Systems Inc. - InRail. The author of the article deals with track design functionalities of the applicable software and additionally presents an example of its precision in a railway alignment of the existing railway section.

    This article discusses the issue of seaport competitiveness. This is one of the most important issues in port studies. Conducting a port competitiveness analysis focuses on comparing components of port competitiveness for selected ports or terminals. First, a comparative analysis of selected seaports was performed in the article, followed by a detailed analysis of selected terminals in indicated ports. The main purpose of the article is to assess the effect of the new investment in the seaport in the town of Police (the construction of the railway connection with the national network) on its competitive position in relation to seaports in the immediate vicinity. To achieve the assumed goal, the following research methods were used: literature review, documentary method, linear weighting method, and variant analysis. The areas covered by the research study are selective seaports in Zachodniopomorskie Voivodeship (Szczecin, Świnoujście, and Police), Poland. Based on the research studies completed so far, it was shown that connecting a seaport with the national rail network may be a significant factor affecting the port’s competitiveness in relation to the ports located in the direct vicinity.
