    Opis:
    The paper focuses on the definition of innovation and innovation process from the historical and today’s perspective of the Massag engineering company. In order to analyse the innovation process, a SWOT analysis was performed, and, based on the results obtained, the correlation between the results of the analysis and the statistics of innovation activities in the Czech Republic was made. Within the historical analysis of the company, key innovation milestones were identified and described. The main finding was the combination of the use of different types of innovation activities, which plays an important role in terms of the access to innovations and it is necessary to take innovation as a whole, composed of sub-types of innovation that permeate the whole society. The results of the SWOT analysis showed that the main factor that affects the success of the organization and innovation is the long history of the company and knowledge of the markets. This is reflected in the long-term and quality customer relationships. These established contacts with other companies engaged in engineering production are strengths, which are today reflected in the opportunities for further development of the company. The correlation between results and statistics shows that SMEs are forced to innovate because they are under constant pressure from competitors and the market. Therefore, innovation activities are essential for these companies and play a significant role in their current and future competitiveness.

    Celem i przedmiotem niniejszej publikacji było przedstawienie roli przemian i przekształceńw strukturze przemysłowej gospodarki w Polsce. Powstała ona na podstawie ogólnodostępnej literatury,danych statystycznych i wiadomości netograficznych. W artykule przedstawiono pokrótce zmiany w rozwojuprzemysłu w Polsce, począwszy od lat dziewięćdziesiątych XX wieku do czasów współczesnych. Dokonanocharakterystyki skali tych zmian oraz omówiono najważniejsze przeobrażenia. Publikacja przybliża równieżtemat bieżących zadań polityki przemysłowej oraz wyzwań, jakie niesie ze sobą dla omawianej politykiczłonkostwo w strukturach Unii Europejskiej. Wskazano też najbardziej innowacyjne dziedziny przemysłui firmy, które je reprezentują. Podano także wielkość nakładów inwestycyjnych w przemyśle w Polsce w porównaniudo innych krajów europejskich. Dokonano charakterystyki zmian w handlu zagranicznym. Danezostały zilustrowane za pomocą tabel i wykresów. Metoda badawcza zastosowana w publikacji to analizadanych zastanych oraz krytyka piśmiennicza. Z przeprowadzonej analizy jasno wynika, że w ostatnich latachdoszło do znaczących przemian w strukturze przemysłu w Polsce. Jednak sam ten proces jeszcze się nie zakończyłi będzie postępował. W artykule oceniono zmiany, jakie zaszły, i wskazano możliwe ścieżki działania,jakimi należy podążać, aby poprawić obecną sytuację.
    The aim and the subject of the article is to present the role of change and transformation in the industrial structure of economy in Poland. The publication is based on the available printed literature, statistical data, as well as on news netography. The article briefly explains the changes in the industrial development in Poland from the 1990s to the present day. The scale of the changes that have occurred was determined, and the key areas of transformations that have taken place were discusses. The publication also includes information on current tasks of industrial policy and on the challenges facing said policy due to the involvement in the European Union structures. It also identifies the most innovative sectors of industry or companies that represent them. The size of investment in industry in Poland was compared to other European countries. Changes in the foreign trade were characterised. The data were illustrated with tables and graphs. The research method used is the analysis of existing data and critical analysis of written sources. Based on the available literature book, netography and statistics, it becomes clear that in recent years there has been a significant change in the structure of industry in Poland. However, the actual process is not finished and will continue. Through presenting statistical data analysis and available materials relating to industrial policy, the author evaluates the changes that have occurred, and indicates possible directions of improving the current situation.

    The article investigates the competitive position of the French economy in comparison with other key European Union economies, taking into account available statistical data and competitiveness indexes. The analysis is made in the context of a decline in the competitiveness of the French economy in the wake of the economic crisis and an apparent lack of effective measures to overcome this process. The author discusses the results of analyses of competitiveness of the French economy in 2011 and 2012, highlighting the reasons for the country’s declining competitiveness and outlining the measures taken to overcome the problem. Czyżewska uses statistical data and descriptive analysis methods as the main research methods in the article. Statistics show that France has lost its competitive position, especially with regard to Germany, the author says. She discusses the reasons for this and looks at several measures proposed to overcome the problem. Overall, these measures reflect the complex economic situation of France and call for multi-pronged action in the French economy, according to the author. The list of economic reforms that need to be carried out is long, Czyżewska says, so the future competitive position of the French economy depends on the level of commitment to pressing ahead with these reforms.
    Celem artykułu jest pokazanie pozycji konkurencyjnej francuskiej gospodarki w stosunku do kluczowych gospodarek UE bazując na najnowszych danych statystycznych, w tym na indeksach konkurencyjności. Analiza jest prowadzona w kontekście obniżającej się konkurencyjności gospodarki Francji, w perspektywie trwającego kryzysu gospodarczego i braku narzędzi do skutecznego jego przezwyciężenia. Drugim celem artykułu jest przedstawienie wyników kluczowych analiz konkurencyjności francuskiej gospodarki przeprowadzonych w latach 2011-2012 wskazując na przyczyny opisywanej sytuacji i proponowane narzędzia służące podniesieniu tejże konkurencyjności oraz wnioski płynące z analiz. Wykorzystano metody statystycznej analizy danych oraz analizę opisową. Na podstawie danych statystycznych pokazano sukcesywną utratę pozycji konkurencyjnej Francji, głównie na korzyść Niemiec. Zebrane w formie tabelarycznej przyczyny obecnej sytuacji gospodarczej oraz proponowane narzędzia podniesienia konkurencyjności są odzwierciedleniem złożonej sytuacji gospodarczej we Francji, stąd w najbliższym czasie należy podjąć działania o kompleksowym charakterze. Lista reform gospodarczych do przeprowadzenia jest długa, a od stopnia zaangażowania w realizację owych reform zależy przyszła pozycja konkurencyjna Francji w Europie.

    Vietnam is one of the countries with the highest industrial growth rate in the world. However, growing in the industry is based on the width factor and labour - intensive industries and assembly. The goal set out to 2030 is to turn Vietnam into a Middle-Income Country (MIC) with a modern industry that poses many challenges, requiring the industry to need stronger restructuring to improve competitiveness. competition and deeper participation in global value chains. From the analysis of the current situation of industrial development in Vietnam, the article identifies the limitations in the sustainable development of Vietnam's industry and gives orientations and solutions to promote the sustainable development of Vietnam's industry in the context of Industrial Revolution 4.0 and the digital economy.

    This research identifi es the present position of economic relations in energy sector of Tajikistan. Electricity is essential for development of the country, economic growth, job creation, and modern life. Without it, poverty endures. This study is based on statistical methods. In 2009-2010 the share of electricity, in a total volume exports are sharply decreased. From 6.3% to 0.3%, as Uzbekistan has ceased to import electricity from Tajikistan. Also we analized the CASA-1000 project. This project demonstrates landmark cooperation among the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Tajikistan was confi rmed as the host of the official ceremony launching the Project’s implementation phase on May 12, 2016 in Dushanbe with participation of high-ranking offi cials of all four countries, representatives of the International Financial Institutions, CASA-1000 Secretariat, donors and partners.
    Niniejsze badanie wskazuje na obecny stan stosunków gospodarczych w sektorze energetycznym Tadżykistanu. Energia elektryczna jest podstawą rozwoju kraju, wzrostu gospodarczego, tworzenia miejsc pracy i nowoczesnego życia. Bez niej doskwiera ubóstwo. Badanie jest oparte na metodach statystycznych. W latach 2009-2010 udział prądu w ogólnym wolumenie eksportu gwałtownie zmalał, z 6,3% do 0,3%, jako że importować prąd z Tadżykistanu przestał Uzbekistan. Dokonaliśmy również analizy projektu CASA-1000. Projekt ten wskazuje na stanowiącą kamień milowy współpracę Kirgizji, Tadżykistanu, Pakistanu i Afganistanu. Tadżykistan został gospodarzem ofi cjalnej uroczystości rozpoczęcia fazy wdrożenia projektu w dniu 12 maja roku 2016 w Duszanbe z udziałem wysokiej rangi urzędników wszystkich czterech krajów, przedstawicieli międzynarodowych instytucji finansowych, Sekretariatu CASA-1000, darczyńców i partnerów.
