- The aim of the study was comparison of chosen meteorological elements (air temperature, precipitation and global solar radiation) measured in the warm half-a-year with classic and automatic weather stations. Basing on the measurements three agrometeorological indexes (climatological water balance, evapotranspiration and standardized precipitation index) were calculated. With the obtained results, prospects of automatic data use for meteorological cover in agriculture was evaluated along to the homogenious series maintaining. A particular consideration of correlative results was done to assign mathematical formulas that would allowed to use classic and automatic data series exchangeably.
