    W artykule koncentruję się na materiale poetyckim jako szczególnej formie organizacji języka. Poetycki skrót kondensuje językowy obraz świata, nie redukując przy tym jego złożoności i wewnętrznej dynamiki. W tekstach takich twórców, jak: Krynicki, Herbert, Szymborska, Świetlicki czy Bonowicz obserwujemy ciekawe strategie posługiwania się słowem, które można potraktować jako swoiste laboratorium językowe i doskonały materiał służący budowaniu słownictwa w procesie nauczania jpjo.
    In this article, I focus on poetic material as a particular mode of language organization. Poetic abridgement condenses the linguistic picture of the world without reducing its complexity and internal dynamics. In the texts of such artists as Krynicki, Herbert, Szymborska, Świetlicki, and Bonowicz, we can observe interesting strategies of employing the word, which can be considered a peculiar language laboratory and perfect vocabulary-building material for use in the process of teaching Polish as a foreign language.

    Opis:
    According to Ellen Dissanayake’s concept, art is a form of ontologically mature, developed culturally human communication. At the same time, by definition creating works of art means giving extraordinary meanings to ordinary objects and everyday events. Art opens then special, out of touch with current reality space to express and share human experiences. Natural science proves and deepens this humanistic perspective. The article is an attempt to present the anthropological approach to art and research on brain structure and work as complementary approaches to comprehend experiences related to reception of poetry.

    Opis:
    The problem of the ambiguity of metaphors and language games in philosophy is significant. On the one hand, we can talk about philosophers’ openness to specially inaccurate issues. On the other hand, we can note that it is not enough to stand face to face with the problem, or, what is even more difficult, determine and accept the right solution. In the context of the considerations, in my opinion, the thoughts which are especially worthy of attention are the ones of Plato and Wittgenstein, who, although from different perspectives, would reduce the problem of metaphors and language games most willingly, even excluding them from the use, or at least significantly reducing their impact on people. While the former one even “excludes” poets of the ideal state, the latter one practically leaves no room for poetic wordplay, basically pushing so understood non-literality outside his “chessboard”. However, as I wanted to show, Plato as well as Wittgenstein largely “created” poetry themselves, though they were not poets in the strict sense. In the mind of each of them, undoubtedly, there is some ambivalence in the approach to these issues. In my work I attempt to look at the problem from the perspective of deconstruction too, because I think that it sheds new light on it and allows a deeper reflection on the subject. The end of the text provides an incentive to philosophical thought in general which, despite its complexities, brings hope of redemption from daily life.

    W skromnym, ocalałym od ogni powstania warszawskiego dorobku poetyckim Andrzeja Trzebińskiego, redaktora „Sztuki i Narodu”, utwór Do pożegnanej zajmuje miejsce szczególne. Przywołane w nim pojęcia braku i opuszczenia oraz katastroficzno-destrukcyjny wydźwięk całości, aktualizują interpretację wiersza w duchu melancholicznym. Zderzenie treści wiersza z ustaleniami takich znawców zagadnienia jak: Zygmunt Freud, Julia Kristeva, Antoni Kępiński czy Marek Bieńczyk pozwala na dostrzeżenie melancholicznego wymiaru utworu na płaszczyźnie językowej, obrazowej oraz metaforycznej.
    In the modest, surviving the fires of the Warsaw uprising, literary output of Andrzej Trzebiński, the editor of “Sztuka i Naród”, the poem Do pożegnanej has a remarkable place. The terms of loss and desolation summoned in it as well as its catastrophic and destructive overtone, actualise the poem’s interpretation in the melancholic spirit. The confrontation of the poem’s content with the statements of such experts on the topic as: Sigmund Freud, Julia Kristeva, Antoni Kępiński or Marek Bieńczyk makes possible the noticing of the melancholic dimension of the poem on a lingual, imaginary and metaphorical level.

    Pamięci W. B.Yeatsa W.H.Audena i Elegia przed wojną Alicii Ostriker to dwie elegie „przedwojenne”, w których pierwiastek osobisty zestawiony jest z pierwiastkiem politycznym. Wiersz Audena ilustruje śmierć znanej osobistości na tle niespokojnych lat 30. XX wieku, kiedy powszechny był strach przed faszyzmem i jego reperkusjami. W długim, 7-fragmentowym dziele Ostriker ramą staje się portret zmarłej matki poetki, a wypełnieniem ognisty i ironiczny antywojenny manifest, w którym autorka nie tylko atakuje amerykański imperializm uwidaczniający się podczas II wojny irackiej, ale też zastanawia się nad sensem wojny i przemocy. Elegia urodzonego w Wielkiej Brytanii poety, a szczególnie użyta tam dwuznaczna fraza »poetry makes nothing happen«, jest punktem wyjścia i pretekstem dla Ostriker do zainicjowania dialogu na temat roli poezji i jej związku z polityką. Analiza obu wierszy w zestawieniu z esejami obojga autorów na temat poezji, ich innymi dziełami, a także „powojennymi elegiami” (The Shield of Achilles i The Eight and Thirteenth) pokazuje, że stanowisko obojga poetów odnośnie do roli poezji jest niejednoznaczne i zmienne. Ciekawe są również ich poetyckie rozważania w kontekście dylematu zasygnalizowanego w wierszu Ostriker pt. Wiersz 60 lat po Auschwitz, w którym poetka zastanawia się, jaki ma być kształt poezji i jej wydźwięk po Holocauście.
    In Memory of W. B. Yeats by W. H. Auden and Elegy Before the War by A. Ostriker are two “pre-war” elegies, in which the personal element is confronted with the political. The Auden’s poem portrays the death of a known figure with the background of the unsteady 30s of the 20th century, when the fear of fascism and its repercussions was common. In the long, 7-pieces work of Ostriker framework is the portrait of the poet’s dead mother, and the inlay is the ardent and ironic anti-war manifesto, in which the author not only attacks the American imperialism obvious during the Iraqi war, but she also meditates on the sense of war and violence. The elegy of the poet born in Great Britain, and especially the phrase “poetry makes nothing happen”, is the starting point and a pretext for Ostriker to initiate a dialogue regarding the role of poetry and its relationship to the politics. The analysis of both poems in regard to the essays of both authors discussing the sense of poetry, their other works, and also the “post-war elegies” (The Shield of Achilles and The Eight and Thirteenth) reveals that the stance of both of the poets regarding the role of poetry is ambiguous and unstable. Also interesting are their poetical considerations in the context of the dilemma indicated in the Ostriker’s Poem 60 Years after Auschwitz, in which the poet wonders, what should be the shape of poetry and its overtone after the holocaust.
